I’m not doing this just because everyone else is. If you even remotely like The Underfold, then sign Google’s petition against SOPA and PIPA, because what is under the fair-use law for parody will likely no longer hold up to this legislation, and my site will likely be shut down.

Greetings mighty morphin’ Fold!

This comic comes with caveats:

1) I haven’t watched Power Rangers since the (don’t judge me) second movie, so I don’t know if the newer Power Rangers fixed the problem of everyone not liking Yellow.

2) Everyone knows that the Yellow Ranger was a better fighter (because it was a dude in the suit for some reason. Note that he/she doesn’t have a skirt like the Pink Ranger).

3) I have someone close to me that was relegated to Yellow Ranger as she had 3 siblings and a sister who loved pink.

4) To be fair, who liked any of the other characters but Red, Green and Pink (and eventually White) anyway? They were the main characters.

5) I know that their mouths and faces don’t move, but this is funnier.

With all of those caveats, I stand by this comic.

It should also be known that every season of Power Rangers is available on Netflix streaming (at least as of right now…). Just sayin’.

I wonder what show my daughter will be clamoring to get home after school and rush through her homework to watch. Do kids still do that?

Yesterday was a rough day for comic-making, so I was running a bit behind schedule… like… when I posted the comic, it thought it was today… But, I posted on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ that the comic would be up late, and asked you to tell me what you’d be doing with your time while you waited. Then I added, “(please exaggerate)”.

This Friday 5 is dedicated to my favorites. And let me just say that Twitter had the most responses, while Google+ had the least. I’m not one to start arbitrary competitions, but… Facebook and Google+, are you going to let Twitter beat you?

Also, before we start, let me just say that this was an exercise in futility and I do not endorse anything you all said. Just sayin’.

1. From Facebook: “I’m thinking gradually mounting hysteria. Culminate with running around screaming and waving my hands in the air, maybe even have a seizure? I’ll kinda play the grand finale by ear.”
2. From Twitter: “I got this Heroin, should pass the time nicely”
3. From Google+: “My 12ft iguana and I will be basking in the dying rays of a gorgeous Bahamian sunset on the deck of our cruiseship, while Radiohead plays their latest album for us live, and the greatest chefs in the world produce a massive buffet of the finest delicacies the world has to offer.”
4. From Twitter: “Ride on my emu while eating a peanut buyer and jelly sandwich.”
5. From Twitter:  (2 parter) “Work exhaustively on providing for a method to introduce beer into my mouth and down my esophagus as soon as possible.

   “”Oh wait, you wanted me to *exaggerate*. My bad. Rephrasing: I will find a way to go *back in time* to consume beer instead”

It’s a new year, and we’ve gone a long time without introducing any new characters. And, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this Rob character has been around since the beginning. Making him a shape-shifter means that he can literally be anything in the background. A couch, a phone booth, a car… the point is he’s been around the whole time. Just let that knowledge wash over you like a river over a stone. It’s really not important.

What is important is that these comics were majorly written by a friend of mine that recently realized how awesome the comic was. He actually wrote a good portion of the next few weeks’ strips, and a while back, he sent me in some guest strips that were pretty funny too (here and here)!

I know not all of you are making your own webcomics, but I also know that quite a few of you are. Well, this post is for those of you trying to make it as cartoonists out there!

Phil Hampton of The Comic Academy has compiled a pretty cool assortment of interviews with webcomic creators that have been around for a while and are making some money while doing it! People like DJ Coffman, Dawn Griffin and (one of my personal favorites) Krishna Sadasivam of PC Weenies fame.

Then there’s the interview with me. If you’re into that sort of thing. (This is one of only two interviews with me, so… there’s that too.)
