Today, we are going to Fix Problems.

At this moment there will be some problems shown in this section. Click on Show Details to open.

Go through each problem and fix them.

Or you can choose to hide permanently.

But, this one is important.

This will check your hard drive for bad sectors and file system errors. Tuneup Disk Doctor. If your hard disk is new and never had system crashes before, you can ignore this test. Otherwise its better to check this.

Select the disks you want to check.

Then this will check the system. Wait until it finishes.

Then, it will ask to restart the computer to complete the test. You can choose to restart now. If you are in a middle of something, you can choose to perform the test on next restart.

Then the computer will restart and perform the tests before loading windows.

Any errors will be fixed within this scan.

So, let's continue from where we stopped.

Now, we are going to "Increase Performance".

As you can see, in the middle, there is a button called "Create a Profile". Click on that.

You will get a window like this. Select appropriate settings for each.

Since i use a 3G modem (Mobile Broadband / Dongle), i chose Cellular for 1st setting. It has maximum speed up to 3.6 Mbps. So, i chose HSDPA 3G+, 3.5G. Same settings are valid for 3G modems with speed up to 7.2 Mbps, 21 Mbps, Dual Carrier etc.

If you are using Fixed Broadband like ADSL, choose DSL, TV Cable or power line as first setting. Set appropriate settings for second one.

For Visual settings, i chose Maximum visual appearance. Because, i want to have all visual effects. setting this in to reduced or balanced modes can improve performance slightly.

Set the last setting for After 100 Days of PC Usage. Setting this to lower value may cause you unnecessary notifications regarding installed software.

Press OK and wait until Tuneup Utilities scan current computer settings and make suggestions to optimize.

You can directly optimize by clicking Optimize All. or you can go to each suggestion and make your own decision to optimize or not.

If you ever encounter a situation like below, you can always choose to hide the suggestion.

Now you have successfully completed the second step.

Using Tuneup utilities, you can solve all above. Here how we going to do it.

Once you’ve installed it. Run the software. First look will be more like this.

The very first thing you can do is 1 - Click Maintenance. But before clicking start, click on the small wrench button.

Remove the tick from defragments hard disks. If this check is enabled, it takes long time to finish 1 - Click Maintenance. Apply settings and click OK.

Now you are ready to go. Press start. Wait until it finish.

Click Run Maintance.

Ok, you have done the first step.
