Today I have a bunch of commissions to post. The first three are property of someone else, I just drew them.

Sailor Saturn for Erica:

This one didn't turn out as good as I would have liked, but okay for being my first time ever having drawn the character. I used a very sparkly soft coloring for her, especially around her jewel on he costume.

Bethany for Nichole:

Nicowafer's character Bethany done up pretty. Another chibi commission, which I only charge $25 for (same as busts).

Gali for Nichole:

Gali is a Nautilid from the Immortal Coil, a race of cephalopod-like bipedal people who live underneath the ocean. They have suction cups for hands and feet and tentacle structures for hair.

Now for some of my own art.

Danny Murphy:

I was trying a new way of coloring and rather liked how this turned out. All the lines are a green brown in it. In order to color it I had duplicated a layer that filled her outline a bunch of times, all set to linear burn and preserve transparency, and then colored one part after another on the different layers. The result worked out really well with few gaps.

You're Naked! (NSFW):

I drew my character Scott Free telling something rather important to Crawford, supposed to be startling him from rest. There was two problems from the get go. A.) I was really sleepy so I didn't go back to correct my anatomical mistakes. I know they're there, 99% of my mistakes are caused by lazy. No need to point 'em out as I'm almost always aware of them. B.) When I was drawing Scott, as I usually do when drawing him, I thought, "He don't need no clothes."

So he doesn't have clothes.

What I lacked in shoddy line-art though I made up for in coloring. Drawn for Sara since she's been so worried.

Bela Tat Design

My friend Kehli commissioned me to do a tattoo of her cat Bela Meurte to add to her sleeve. While design three turned out the most sleeve fitting, she also liked the realistic one a whole lot and was considering getting it, as she knows of some tattoo artists that could handle the dark colors.

Taking Advantage : Adult Content MxF Nudity

This one took a little while to complete. It's a picture set in the Immortal Coil world of the Amazon version of Nara drunk and getting felt up by Sara's vampire Logan.

To make the wood floor and walls I used this photoshop wood tutorial and this method of layer transormation. I only colored the lineart a little, and did all the coloring normally then edited the layers with "Color Balance" and "Brightness/Contrast" once I was done.

The rays of light were done making a layer on top of it all with thick lines, using the layer transform. Then I went under "filters", "blur", and chose "Gaussian Blur" and changed the opacity of the layer to something like 10%.

Immortal Coil Chibis

I just drew these for journal headers, and are pretty much the style of how I draw chibis. Chibis are not something I use an underskeleton for, but rather put them together in more of a cartoony way. I still use a lot of detail though, and eyes still inspired from when I was in Akira Toriyama fandom.

Finn Scalare and Gavin Mano

I did a quicky sketch that Sara Machajewski colored. While she did the majority of the work, I drew the line-art with copic pens and micron pens. I still have more collabs still being completed that I should be able to post soon.

Rose the Siren

A Siren design I was mulling around in my head. I didn't submit it to DA because it's kind of small and wasn't particularly that finished, but I thought it made a good character design. I based her coloration off that of a cardinal. Yeeees, I do know that female cardinals are usually brownish red, but I was going for generic representation and not dead on species accuracy. Fantasy creature, after all.

Commission for Uennie:

Took a while to do because of all the detail, but I did cheat and make a lot of brushes for it. If you're interested, you can get the brushes there, then I fiddled with them a lot in the brush settings.

Uennie commissioned it and gave me the description of the girl. When I was doing it, I was thinking of a line from the book Sarah, Plain and Tall, where the main character refers to the day her mother was buried as being "cruel and sunny". So it struck me that there's no other spite to sorrow quite like a serene setting, as if the world is mocking your mood.

So I okayed the ink with her (you must be a livejournal member in order to access the picture) and set about coloring it with that in mind.

Siren Picture

This is an older piece that I needed to do just finished tonight. I used a lyrebird as inspiration for the feathers. In order to color the lineart in some areas to accentuate the lighting I used this method to color the line-art.

For the buildings in the background, I did a rudimentary paint over in another layer of this stock and then adjusted the light source so it made sense.

I also drew on a layer I didn't want to draw on, completely lost my mind, cussed at the computer, had to redo the layer, all in all making this nine hours of coloring.
