Trapster mentioned that he participated in something like this at another forum shortly before his unfortunate and untimely demise, so I thought it might be interesting to see if there is interest in it here, in his loving memory, as another community-fun activity!

His restless and unholy spirit can become corporeal just long enough to type a few incomprehensible words of correction if I'm wrong, but as far as I understand, the game works like this:

1. Everyone who is interested signs up.

2. Names and addresses are exchanged with random/unknown people, Secret Santa style. Since we won't want to post our mailing addresses out in the open, someone could act as the swap admin. Everyone would send names/addresses to this one person, and he/she would be in charge of randomizing recipients and distributing addresses.

3. Each person creates a mix CD and sends it to his/her hapless aural victim. Be as creative as you like! You can craft your CD according to a particular theme. You can be nice. You can be mean. Should the sender of the CDs remain a secret, or should the discs be signed?

4. When folks receive their CDs, they write a review of sorts and/or try to guess who sent them. Maybe we shouldn't slag off other people's mixes too hard, but instead focus on the overall craft/design of the disc (the theme, the way the songs fit together, the effort put into the mix, etc.).

Duke Nukem Forever

I think we all know the story of Duke Nukem Forever, right? The game was infamous for having a long development time and only leaking a few screenshots or teaser trailers once every few years. Eventually, after about 12 years of development time, its developer was ousted and the game was considered canceled by many gamers. Finally, the impossible is happening and Duke Nukem Forever, the game that was supposedly going to be in development forever, is finally going to come out next year. Gearbox, the makers of Borderlands and some Half-Life side stories, is finishing the game up and will release it on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. I guess we really can count on the Duke.

EDIT: I've gotta say I'm no Duke Nukem fan....considering I've never played any of the games, but I'm still fascinated by all this considering how long this game has been in development hell.
