The question remains will that solve the current dissatisfaction with english football. Does politics and football mix, not in my book. Politicians only get involved in football when they want to score a political point. We want to host the world cup in 2018, we have not built the national stadium yet in 2007. The quality of defending over the weekend was poor and cetain teams were more guilty than others ie spurs, blackburn and westham. However the quality of referring was on the poor side ie wigan. When is offside not offside and when is a penalty not a penalty. Answer, when the referee does not see it even though everyone in the stadium saw it. The management of english players seems to be based on what you should not be doing rather than what you can do. We must not rely on stats and science to play football. Actually a football match is 90 minutes of chaos and making the right decisions as you find them.
