Yes, that’s right.  Our own government, via the GAO, testified on May 10th, before Congress, that the U.S. has at least 1.5 trillion barrels of recoverable oil shale in Colorado and Utah.

Even if the technology to recover this oil needs to be developed and even if it is more expensive than Middle Eastern oil, this should be a national priority.  Oil independence is at hand, as we know we have more oil than Saudi Arabia–if we only have the will.

We must elect conservatives so that we can unlock our natural resources and as a result have dependable sources of energy and long term consistent prices.  Or, we can continue our current policies of transforming this nation into third world shell of its former self.

The question is, do you want to live in a prosperous land or country where electricity, cars, and a modern lifestyle are fought at every turn by the left and their party of choice, the Democrats?

First Gay President

If that’s the case, he certainly doesn’t give a damn about a certain demographic that voted for him almost exclusively in 2008, considering the current unemployment rate of that same demographic is 13%.

Something to consider for the said demographic.  One President Barack Hussein Obama apparently cares more about the plight of two men screwing each other in the ass or two women swapping spit than he does about you.

Current black unemployment is 13%! Under the previous president, black unemployment was as low as 7.5%.

But, by all means, don’t think and just blindly vote for a man, who in a recession considers gay marriage, much more important than the black community’s unprecedented unemployment rate.

Obama’s hard liberalism is literally screwing the black community, but according to Newsweek, he is all for bending you over via his neo-communist economic policies.

The question is, are you smart enough to realize what is going on?

I nearly lost it when I read Ace’s description of Elizabeth Warren’s claims at Harvard that she was a Native American, as the Fauxcahontas problem.

Even though the whiter than white Warren listed her race as Native American, and Harvard only has one Native American professor on their roster, at first, they declined to confirm or deny that it was her.

Finally though, today, it seems Harvard has confirmed her claims.

Pathetic that one needs to read the British press to learn about the murder of white Iraq veteran at the hands of four black men.

My question is, where’s the outrage? Why isn’t the press in America covering this.

Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the beating death of a former U.S. Marine who was found unconscious outside of a party at a Cobb County, Georgia, apartment complex in March.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Arthur Batchelor, 37, Tarell Secrest, 36, and Jason Hill, 35, were taken into custody on Tuesday for allegedly killing 34-year-old Zachary ‘Zach’ Gamble. Another suspect, 38-year-old Sean Hall, of Atlanta, was arrested on Monday. Read more….

The choice of this campaign slogan was no accident considering he appointed a communications director who considered Mao her favorite philosopher, a green czar who was an outright communist, he attended a church that preached liberation theology, that he worked closely with terrorist and communist, Bill Ayers, at the Annenberg Project….

That this president decided to launch his campaign on the birthday of Karl Marx, well, that’s just frosting on the cake (hat tip Gatewaypundit).

Besides using a slogan closely associated with totalitarian communism (see Doug Ross for more examples), it also smacks of the cult of personality that such governments cultivate.

The sad thing is that the left and Obama see people in terms of groups. They believe in group rights. Just remember, if the government can favor your group, it can persecute it as well. Do you really want to sell your soul
to his eminence to gain his favor and hope his temperament is never offended by any action that your group takes?

The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word “Forward” with the “O” having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign’s official beginning.  Read more….

Last, but not least, of course, there is the Great Leap Forward in China, from 1958 through 1961.

Take steel as the principle, leap forward in all fields

The tying thread is that each one of these groups who used or use the word forward favor distribution of wealth from the rich to the poor through the coercion of strong central and powerful government.

Not only does President Obama and his Democratic allies fit this bill, they actually put it into practice.  The Stimulus, Obamacare, and the takeover of student loans are just three examples of the massive redistribution of wealth through government coercion.

And if you want to take it a step further, Mao use the Great Leap Forward to impose government control over the peasants in order to extract wealth to finance industrial growth.

Obama and the Democrats have steered massive amounts of your tax dollars to finance the growth of “green” industry and power and, as just as Mao made the peasants suffer, Obama has, through his “crucifixion” of the oil, gas, and coal industries, has in turn, made the ordinary American miserable as the result of higher energy prices and a lower standard of living.

And just like Mao’s Great Leap Forward, Obama’s Stimulus and green energy initiatives have been massive failures as well.

Its all in the name of the redistribution of wealth and the implementation of an economy centrally planned and run from Washington.

It is no coincidence that the Obama campaign chose Forward as their slogan.
