The Red Army was once upon a time a most valued ally in our time of crisis, upon the longest midnight hour of humanity. In 1941 the United States was confronted with the choice; to either join a Communist alliance or holding the line independently against Nazi-Germany. In 1941, the US Army was chosen to combine her power with the Red Army.

Although victors by 1945, both nations were tested by peer pressure to undergo a most dramatic of metamorphosis. In 1945, US was a free nation, with it's own kind of Christian based caste system (that rivaled the Hindu-caste system of India), likewise the suffocating debts incurred by the new Soviet, scientific, utopia were toxic to the human soul.

The US of 1945 compared to the US of 1985 were indeed stark, and the US would win the race to change itself to a more equitable situation, acrimoniously casting of the yoke off its racially based caste system of laws. However, the Soviet Union double downed on the control of the masses for a hallow dream, that circumcised the human spirit.

Providentially the powers amongst the Socialist Councils took a long and deep, soulful self-inspection, and chose to undergo the ultimate metamorphosis. Thus they deserve the term of being the true Middle West.
