A couple of weeks ago we started a ladies Bible study called "Lies Women Believe and the Truth that Sets Them Free". If you have not done this study, run don't walk to your bookstore and pick this up. This is a quote from the study that I just love, "Put together all the tenderest love you know of, the deepest you have ever felt, and the strongest that has ever been poured out upon you, and heap upon it all the love of all the loving human hearts in the world, and then multiply it by infinity, and you will begin, perhaps, to have some faint glimpse of what the love of God is." -Hannah Whitall Smith.

I started working full-time last week as an Equipment Buyer for the company my husband works for and I love it!

My house is a mess. We moved in 7 months ago and we used my hubby's office as a storage facilty for all the boxes that we didn't want to go through. Well, this past weekend we decided that it was time to clean up the office and clean out the boxes, so we got to work and pulled everything out and into the living room. Well, that is still were everything is and we have ladies Bible study here tomorrow night! And of course, instead of cleaning it up, I am sitting here writing ya'll about it! I think I need to call AshLee from the Bachelor and see if you she can come help!

Speaking of the Bachelor, that show is my guilty pleasure! This season has been the best so far and I am sad that it is almost over. Of course, me being me, I looked to see who was going to win this season while watching the first episode!!! I won't spoil it for anyone but I sure wished I had just waited like everyone else to see who Sean is going to pick. Also, I so cannot wait to see who the letter is from that Sean receives in the finale. I follow Sean's sister Shay on twitter and I also follow her blog-yall should too,she is amazing: Mix and Match Mama and while you are at it, follow her best friend Sheaffer at Pinterest Told Me To- she is hilarious, especially when recapping what happened on the Bachelor!!!

The Many Faces of Me

I have struggled with my weight my whole life. In high school I was a cheerleader, on the basketball team, captain of the volleyball team and threw shot put and discus for track and field. Needless to say I was always working out-but in my mind, I was fat. Then came college and I made friends with a girl that loved to run. Running was so freeing to me, exhilarating But through all of that, I still viewed myself as that chubby girl from grade school.

When I married, I weighed 131 lbs and in the best shape of my life. I wore a bikini on our honeymoon, for the first and probably the last time in my life! But then I found myself on the plane wearing a dress that I bought in Hawaii, that fit perfectly not 3 days before, squirming in my seat because the dress now felt 2 sizes two small. My weight just ballooned from there.

I just started a 3 days cleanse and I have realized, probably for the first time, what an emotional and bored eater I am. But I am bound and determined to make this lifestyle change. It doesn't just stop after three days, that is just a jump start. I am 10 lbs lighter than I was 6 months ago when we moved. I don't want to be the 131 lbs I was 11 years ago, I just want to be healthy. I want to be alive to grow old with my husband! I know that I will have my struggles, I will always be an emotional eater and I will most likely always have a body image problem, but I know that with God's help, I can be healthy again.

Life Goes On

It feels good to be back to blogging. So much life has happened since I last posted, but the huge thing is we moved!!! Hubby got a new job, one that we had been hoping and praying for and one that moved us back to my parents! We also added another fur-baby to the mix, more on that later.

I feel like we are finally where God wants us to be. Back to our old church (I told hubby when we walked in our first Sunday back, it was like coming home), reconnecting with old friends and making some incredible new ones and finally back to life at The Watermelon Tree:-)

Well, it is less than a week until the Farmer’s Market and I have tons to do! And to top it all off I am sick, very sick! The Dr. has no idea what is wrong but he gave me an antibiotic until some tests come back. I just pray that I get better soon! My husband has been so very sweet to me, taking care of everything!! Even my fur-baby Ziti must know that I am sick because this morning she wanted to be held and she put a paw on either side of my neck and laid her head on my shoulder!

Hopefully tomorrow I will feel up to making some earrings! I hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Farmer’s Market

I have decided to have a booth at our local Farmer's Market!!! I am so excited and lately I have been very busy getting things together! I will start the first Saturday in November and hopefully our booth will become a permanent booth at the Farmer's Market!!! To start off with, I will be selling my jewelry and photography! I have some beading ordered so I can make these cute Christmas Tree, Candy Cane and Snowmen earrings!!!

Capturing the Past

Lately I have been spending more and more time outside, enjoying the lovely weather and snapping away on my new camera! If I could go back in time, I definitely would have thought about my college major choice more! An Associates Degree in Photography sounds much more appealing right now than the Associates Degree in Medical Office Technology! Oh well, maybe in the future I can take some photography classes, but as for right now, I will continue to take memory cards full of pictures and learn as much as I can from others! I can't begin to explain the thrill of seeing your little snapshots of the past when it loads on the computer screen! I just hope that someday, my photographs will bring someone else as much joy as they bring me!!

There is a new electronic device taking up residence in our house and it is sitting beside me right now! Yesterday my beautiful new Nikon D5000 arrived from the men in the brown uniforms and I am so excited!! I probably took at least 200 pictures today but this is one of my favorites!

Everyone I would like for you to meet Charlotte! She is an orb weaver spider and she lives on the side of our house (OUTSIDE) along with her 2 million unhatched babies! I HATE spiders but I have actually grown quite fond of Charlotte (obviously because I have named her) as long as she stays on her little web! She is a very large spider!! If you touch her web, she starts bouncing to try and catch whatever is making her web move!!

Family, Fun, Antiquing, Italian, Turtles, Laughter, Fireworks and Racing-that is what my pretty wonderful day consisted of!!

My Parents got here yesterday and we spent today doing all sorts of things!! First me, mom and my SIL Holly spent the morning visiting the quaint little antique shops downtown!! The first one that we went into, Mother's and Daughters, was my favorite-a beautiful mix of old and new, quiet and colorful!! Found alot of ideas for my Boutique!! Then we ate at one of my favorite Italian restaurants-delish! The boys and my niece went down to a Reptiles exhibit during all of this and came home with the three most ADORABLE little turtles I have EVER seen-have I mentioned that I collect turtle and absolutely LOVE them!! They are so cute and teeny tiny!

Later this evening we shot off fireworks-kinda had a competition going on with the neighbors as to who had the loudest and biggest fireworks-we won of course:) Me and Brent and my parents headed home and caught the end of the Coke Zero 400 from Daytona! Pretty exciting race!! Dad had some friends down at the race and they were having the time of their lives:) Hopefully next year we will be able to go!!

And of course I forgot to bring my camera today but don't worry, it will be used tomorrow! Happy 4th of July everyone!! Have a safe and wonderful holiday:)
