Xeesm™ is a social business application platform helping business teams in all departments to build a better customer experience.

Commenting on the new partnership, WOM principal Des Walsh said:

“Once we saw what is happening with the Xeesm™ platform, it took us a very short time, actually about 24 hours, to decide that we wanted our company to be part of that. Our specialty at Webarts Online Marketing is in helping businesses navigate the new territory of social business:this platform is very much about navigating more expertly, in a more fully manageable and accountable way. It’s a perfect fit.

“With businesses being told they need to invest dollars and people time in this space, they want to know how that is going to fit into a cohesive, accountable business strategy. The applications being released on the Xeesm™ platform allow us to answer that question with practical tools as well as strategies. And it’s so appealing that you can look at any area of the business and see ways in which Xeesm™ can support that and help add value.

“I also love the fact that Xeesm™ comes with a team and an international one at that. No one person has all the answers in this space, so knowing there is a global team of partners, as well as the core group in the US, is very empowering.”

Xeequa CEO Axel Schultze said “Since the launch of our Social Relationship Manager, Xeesm™, in summer 2009, we have rapidly grown our user base worldwide.”

He said the decision to build a partner channel was based on three objectives:

• To provide localized support wherever our users are located
• To be able to scale at the speed of social media growth
• To use the most cost-efficient sales model.

Our partnership with Xeesm is not just for Australian business or even just for the region, but we are especially keen to tell the Xeesm story in our part of the world.

If you would like to know more about Xeesm and how the Xeesm range of products might help your company, please call Des Walsh on (in Australia) 0413 089 355 or (internationally) 61 413 089 355.

This is a test for a new category feed. If you are picking this up, apologies for the intrusion!

Update April 21, 2009. If you are interested in how to do an RSS feed for a specific category, it’s really simple – just that I had to chase a few Google rabbits down burrows and install and then uninstall a plugin that did not actually do what I wanted, before I found a simple, clear explanation- in a blog post (of course!).

For most blogs, the main RSS feed will take on this format:
http://www.example.com/feed/

If you want to view the RSS feed for only a single category, visit the page for that category and add “/feed/” to the end of it. For example, the feed to the WordPress category on this blog is:
http://blog.bluefur.com/category/wordpress-wednesdays/feed/

My need was to be able to provide an RSS feed for just the new Roadmapping newsletter which will be posted on and archived at the new Roadmapping site I’ve just established.

Following the instructions above, I was able to make a category feed as follows:

http://www.roadmapping.net/category/newsletter/feed/

My understanding is that it is important to close the link with the final forward slash. There is a technical explanation but even if I understood it at the time I’ve forgotten it.

Main thing is, it works. Tested it in my BlogBridge reader and it delivered a test post without a hitch.

The purpose in making a category-specific RSS feed available is quite simply that it means the reader who is only interested in one category of post (in the case of Roadmapping, that would be getting that newsletter) doesn’t have to put up with messages on other items.

Slight problem: till now, the scheduled demonstrations have been at a time that works well for the USA and Canada, but not so well for the Asia Pacific region.

When I raised this with CEO George Athannassov, he responded in his usual can-do style and now, a few days later, we have a schedule of demos to accommodate a wider range of time zones.

The new schedule is set out on the WordFrame Blog in the post Official WordFrame Community Platform Demos Schedule.

There are now three sessions scheduled for each week, designed to accommodate people/companies in:

USA and Canada

Northern Europe

Asia and Australasia

Here at The Webarts Company in particular, we’re hoping the new Asia-focused demo session scheduled for people in China, South East Asia and Australasia will work well. The time will be 9 am on Fridays in Beijing and other centres on the same time zone, e.g. Singapore, Manila.

In Australia it will be at 12 noon Sydney time on Friday for the next couple of weeks until the changeover from Eastern Summer (Daylight Saving) Time to Eastern Standard Time, on Sunday April 6, after which date it will be at 11 am on Fridays.

As the post on the WordFrame blog asks:

Please take a look what suits you best and write a small note to sales@wordframe.com or go to http://demo.wordframe.com and signup for the demos by leaving your name and e-mail as a commentary on the Post regarding the demos on the home page there.

If you are interested in having a demo and none of the times in the schedule work for you, please contact us and let us know what would work for you.

On my deswalsh.com site I posted the other week about the launch of WordFrame, a social media platform, web publishing, collaboration and content management tool – and why I was (and am) excited about that. Some more good news today on the WordFrame Blog, where CEO George Athannassov says he and UK based David Terrar are looking at providing WordFrame demo sessions at times more congenial to those of us in the Europe, Asia and Australasia regions. From my experience, the quickest, most illuminating way to get an understanding of what WordFrame can do for our business is an online demo. As George explains in his post, he and David have been running these, but currently they are timed to be more congenial to people in North America than in some other parts of the world ( Friday at noon, 12:00 PM, Mountain Standard Time).I intend to put a link in the sidebar of this site, with information about demos and times, once I have the details.

We’ve been in business a long time and last week we realized that, although we constantly tweak various other websites and blogs we own, we have somewhat neglected this, the company “mother ship” website.

So this is a new look for this site.

Earlier efforts, whether our own overly ambitious efforts to be own coders and designers, or contracted out to specialist web designers, took weeks to get up to speed.

A beautiful thing about the new social media is that we can decide on a Friday night that it is time for a new look and fresh functionality and have that accomplished before the weekend is over. Another is that we can add and modify elements as we go.

We won’t guarantee we’ll stick with this WordPress theme – Structure, by Justin Tadlock – excellent as it seems to be, but we believe it will get us off on the right foot. One advantage is that there are Chinese and Japanese versions, which suits our needs for our interaction with markets in the Asia Pacific region. Korean would be good too, but we don’t have that yet.

All suggestions for improvements will be gratefully received.

And if you are wondering who “we” are, check the little screed on our About page for a succinct statement of what the company does and who our team and main strategic partners are.
