Man Claims To Be 160 Years Old

The average life expectancy in Ethiopia is around 60 years old. Dhaqabo Ebba certainly looks about 60 but, if he is to be believed, he is closer to 160.

Dhaqabo Ebba lives in a society with a tradition of orally passing down history from one generation to another. He has no birth record short of his baptismal records, but his knowledge of local history is so impressive that it is difficult not to believe him.

Determining Ebba's age would be nearly impossible, since Ethiopian births are performed in a home ritual, and many do not own birth certificates. He does, however, remember when Italy first invaded Ethiopia. That was in 1895. "I had two wives and my son was old enough to herd cattle," he told a reporter.

According to Ebba, he has lived under at least seven Ethiopian rulers. He also claims to have the largest extended family in the area, having watched his great-grandchildren grow up. There are no living witnesses to corroborate his story. "Not even one of my peers is alive today," he says.

It is believed that medical technology may be able to confirm his age, and plans are in motion to test his claims.

You have to admit, he looks pretty good for 160.

Interesting Person: Andrew D. Basiago

I was listening to Coast to Coast AM, like I'm known to do, and they had a guest by the name of Andrew Basiago. He was speaking about life on Mars, not uncommon for C2C, but when he said that he knew there was life because he had been there.... Obviously, I settled in for a good listen.

In the late 1960's and early 1970's, Andrew was a child participant in Project Pegasus, a US time-space exploration program. He claims that when he was 7 years old, he time traveled with 140 children and 60 adults known as chrononauts. He claims to have visited Ford Theater on the night that Lincoln was killed. He also claims to have been at Gettysburg for the famous Gettysburg address. "I was dressed as a Union bugle boy," he says.

In the early 1980's he joined the CIA's Mars "Jump Room" program, where he made numerous trips to Mars via teleportation. He claims that there are two intelligent species on Mars, one that is native, and one that may have come from Earth when the first civilization fell. In case you were wondering, he says that we are the second civilization.

There are 4 other people that claim to have been involved with the "jump room" project. Michael C. Relfe, Arthur Neumann, William B. Stillings, and Bernard Mendez. In addition, Barack Obama and Mary Jean Eisenhower have been identified as former "jumpers". Neither have publicly come forward.

Near the end of the interview, just before they started taking calls, Andrew Basiago announced that he will seek the 2016 US presidency. While his platform of exposing the existence of time travel and teleportation technology is something I could get behind, he didn't actually cover any political topics.

No matter what he does in 2016, Andrew Basiago is an interesting person with a pretty good story.

Man Revives After 45 Minutes With No Heartbeat

On August 5, Melissa Yahle woke up to realize that her husband, Anthony, wasn't breathing right. She and her son, Lawrence, performed CPR until the paramedics arrived, where first responders used a defibrillator before rushing him to Kettering Medical Center.

Cardiologist, Raja Nazir, said he discovered Anthony Yahle's arteries were clear and things looked good until the man coded. After 45 minutes of treating him with every medicine they could, he was declared dead.

Lawrence, upon hearing of his father's death, ran to his body and said "Dad, you're not going to die today."
Shortly after that, Nazir noticed that Anthony had a heartbeat again, but only once or twice a minute. Nazir tried again to revive Anthony and was successful.

As of August 10, five days later, Yahle was resting at home with no need of a heart transplant. He has no memory of the incident, saying "I went to bed … woke up five days later in the hospital.”

The cause of the medical emergency was not reported.

Things Commonly Mistaken For UFO's

This post is really just a companion to this post. Plus, this is useful information for anyone who believes they have spotted a UFO.

Lightning sprites are flashes high in the atmosphere triggered by thunder storms. They can take the form of fast moving balls of electricity, streaks, or tendrils.

Clouds can do some crazy things. One of the coolest looking is the hole punch cloud. It is also one of the formations commonly mistaken for UFO's.

This UFO was spotted over Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia and was the source of much speculation. In the end, it was just Project Loon, Google's attempt to bring low-cost internet to rural areas using high altitude balloons.

This is by no means a comprehensive list. This is just something to remind you to keep your wits about you when you think you may have spotted something. A lot of things can be explained by regular means, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep watching. It just means you should ask a lot of questions.

Mysterious UFO Over Kentucky Identified

On October 16, 2012, a UFO was spotted in the skies over Pike County, Ky. Allen Epling, amateur astronomer, described it as looking "like two fluorescent bulbs, side by side, parallel, shining very brightly."

"It would get so bright they would seem to merge, and you could see it very clearly with the naked eye," Epling said. "Then, it would dim down almost invisible ... It wasn't anything I recognized. Definitely not an airplane, and I've never seen a helicopter that looked like that."

Epling wasn't the only one to see it. People in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia all reported seeing the object. Calls were made to local airports, but no one could give an explanation.
The object was estimated to have reached a height of 60,000 feet, and remained stationary for hours. Of course, ET's were suspected, but the real explanation was much more terrestrial yet still very cool.

As it turns out, the object seen in the sky was part of Project Loon, Google's attempt to bring internet to large parts of the world that remain unconnected, by using solar powered, high pressure balloons.

The balloons will travel "on the edge of space, designed to connect people in rural and remote areas, help fill coverage gaps and bring people back online after disasters," according to the project's website.
"People connect to the balloon network using a special Internet antenna attached to their building. The signal bounces from balloon to balloon, then to the global Internet back on Earth,"

So it wasn't visitors from another planet, but it was an attempt to bring low-cost internet to the world, and that's cool too.

Another Strange Carcass From The Ocean

The first one washed up on the shore of Nassau. The second was found floating in the Persian Gulf. The newest washed up on the beach in Villaricos, Spain. Though this one looks a little different from the others.

August 15, a creature measuring 4 meters long washed up on the Luis Siret beach in Villaricos. The creature is in the advanced stages of decomposition, making visual identification difficult. So far, some of the theories are giant fish, mutant fish, or possibly a relative of the Loch Ness monster.

Proteccion Civil de Cuevas notified its colleagues at Promar in Pulpí: "We're monitoring the beaches during the summer. A lady found one part and we helped her retrieve the rest. We have no idea what it was. It really stank, as it was in the advanced stages of decomposition. Promar experts are trying to ascertain its nature," explained Maria Sanches, Coordinator of Civil protection in Cuevas.

CIA Acknowledges The Existence Of Area 51

We all knew it was there. They knew that we knew it was there. We knew that they knew....... You get the point.

It seems that after years of ignoring the area 90 miles north of Las Vegas, the government still isn't really talking about it, but they aren't pretending it doesn't exist anymore. I think that may be a step in the right direction.
George Washington University's Nation Security Archive obtained a CIA history of the U-2 spy plane program through public records request.

In 2002 when Jeffrey Richelson, National Security Archive senior fellow, reviewed the history all mention of Area 51 had been removed. He requested another copy in 2005, when he received it a few weeks ago the references had been restored.

The report details how the site was spotted and later appropriated by the government and approved by president Eisenhower for the purpose of testing U-2 spy planes.

While they aren't denying the existence anymore, there is still no word on what actually goes on inside. At least, not from the government.

Promo 1 of The Big Three Promos... UFO's

Hey guys. While I've been tirelessly working on getting the podcast up and running (with only minimal xbox breaks), I recorded this promo. The plan is to create three promos, one for each of (what I call) The Big Three.

Promo 1 is UFO's and ET's.
Promo 2 will deal with ghosts and hauntings.
Promo 3 will deal with cryptids.

I know that 'paranormal' means so much more than what these promos will cover, and I promise I'll cover the whole spectrum, but these are just (I hope) attention grabbers.

I'm sending out emails for interviews and trying to track down a possible special guest.

UFO Over a Pool in Florida?

Surveillance footage of a condo pool in Naples, Fl has had people scratching their heads this week. A security guard was going over the surveillance footage when she noticed a strange light over the pool. The web shaped light appeared to make a funnel into the water. The whole incident lasted about 30 minutes, and the footage has been sent to MUFON to be analyzed.

Perseid Fireballs

Angel Priest Helps Car Crash Victim...

Do you believe in angels? A Missouri woman and the rescue workers that struggled to save her life do after a priest appeared out of nowhere and prayed with them.

The big story this week has been the miraculous (weird) rescue of a Missouri woman from a car crash.
Katie Lentz, 19, was struck head on by an oncoming car that had crossed the center line. The rescue crew spent 45 minutes trying to free Lentz from the wreckage, but the strong metal of Lentz's older car had dulled the equipment.

It was when they were losing hope that Lentz asked the crew to pray out loud with her. That is when a Catholic priest arrived, seemingly from nowhere, with anointing oil and led the prayer. New London Fire Chief Raymond Reed described a sense of calm falling over the scene. He then said that he heard someone (though he can't say who for sure) say that they should all remain calm, and that their tools would now work and Lentz would be rescued.

Another fire department showed up after the prayer with fresh tools, and Lentz was successfully cut from her car. After loading Lentz into an Air Evac Chopper, the crew of at least a dozen turned the thank the priest who was now gone.

The road had been blocked for a quarter mile in each direction, making it difficult to just walk onto the scene, and no one reports seeing the priest before or after his involvement with the rescue. He still remains unidentified, but in a description given here he resembles deceased actor Walter Matthau.

Katie Lentz has since undergone surgeries to repair multiple broken bones, and has more surgeries scheduled for the following weeks. She has asked that everyone 'pray out loud'.

The driver who struck Lentz, 26 year old Aaron Smith, has been charged with a DWI, second degree assault and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

We're Back... And With Big Plans

Wow! It's been three years since I've touched this site. I suppose an explanation is in order. Where have I been? Was I abducted by aliens? Taken by some covert government agency for reprogramming? Am I now a mindless drone being manipulated to spread disinformation?

The short answer is no. The longer answer is life.

I've spent the last three years working two jobs and squeezing in family time where I could. After all that time with my nose firmly pressed to the grind stone, I've gotten back into a position where I can pick up where I left off with the things I love to do.

So now that I'm back, what do I plan to do?
I'm so glad you asked. Firstly, I plan to post regularly to this blog again. So be on the look out for some weird news right here.

Secondly, and this is the big one, I'm putting together a podcast. That's right. You'll now get to here me discussing (blabbering) a range of topics from all over the paranormal spectrum. The idea is still in it's infancy, but I've got some big ideas like interviews and some on location stuff.

Now I'd like to ask a favor from you. I'd like this podcast to encourage listener participation. If you have had any encounter of any kind, UFOs, ghosts, strange creatures, alternate consciousness, etc I'd like to feature it in the first few episodes.

Dead Mermaid Found In Zimbabwe?

Recently some photos have surfaced out of Zimbabwe that claim to show what some call a mermaid and others call Njuzu (which is more of a water sprite). Whatever you call it, I give you the pictures to determine for yourself.

UFO Contactee: Better Than NASA?

Can a man contacted by extraterrestrials have specific information before NASA even discovers it? Today the answer appears to be maybe.
Let me introduce you to this man:

Billy Meier, born in 1937, citizen of Switzerland, and claims to have regular contact with extraterrestrials. Meier's contact first began in 1942 when he was just five years old, and continued until 1964. In 1975 the ET contacts resumed, this time accompanied with photographic evidence of crafts and transcripts of conversations. During these discussions he was given information on topics ranging from human history, spirituality, science, environmental dangers, and World War 3.

Recently NASA discovered that the Earth may have helped shape the moon, but 23 years ago Billy Meier said the same thing. However, Billy has had some trouble in the past with the truth. Disbelievers have set out to prove that he is a fake, and they make a pretty good case. Everyone ranging from photography experts to Billy's own ex-wife is calling this guy a fake, saying that he manufactured the images and in some cases took them straight from movies or books.

The new discovery by NASA and the information imparted by Quetzal, one of Billy's ET contacts, have some striking similarities that make you want to believe even if you know you probably shouldn't.

New Movies And A Trip To The Past

The new movie Skyline was released on Friday and from what I hear so far, the reviews are mixed. If you're not familiar with the movie, have a look at the trailer.

While I haven't heard too many good things about it yet, I do look forward to seeing it soon. It's not the extra terrestrial invasion hook that made me interested in this one, it's that this movie seems to echo the warnings of Dr. Steven Hawking from earlier this year. Now I make it no secret that I disagree with Dr. Hawking on his ideas of what a sentient and intelligent being would want from us, his statements did get many other scientists openly talking about the idea of intelligent extra terrestrial life. I respect Dr. Hawking (not only) for bringing the subject into an area where it is at least a semi safe subject for research and discussion. It is because of how close this movie seems to draw on Dr. Hawking's words that warrants a viewing no matter how bad it may be.

Now the real reason I feel all bloggy today is the movie that I am most geeked to see. Besides just looking cool, it was inspired by an actual incident that I'm going to tell you all about....but first here's a trailer

Some of you may already know of The 1942 Battle of Los Angeles, those people are excused to quietly talk amongst themselves. After watching the trailer you may wonder why no one ever told you about the time that L.A. was attacked by aliens. The short answer: it never was. The movie seems to take the actual event and (in true Hollywood fashion) "reimagine" it until it's something completely different.

Early morning February 25th, 1942, just a couple months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the incoming craft sirens sounded throughout the Los Angeles area. Of course people were expecting to see Japanese fighter planes but instead a large UFO hovered in the sky. Within minutes the sky was filled with search lights which focused on the craft, fighter planes were sent to engage the craft and, soon anti aircraft fire would follow. The UFO only hovered, taking multiple hits and recieving no damage before disappearing over Long Beach.
This incident is maybe one of the best known cases in UFO history, but got far less press than it should have even though it has better photographic evidence than any other I've seen.

It's All About The Nukes

I wanted to do something that tied into Veteran's Day today. I figured UFO's and military go together like two things you like to put together (make your own analogy), it shouldn't be that difficult. As I was digging around I found a story dated for late September titled Aliens 'hit our nukes'. The article says (in a nutshell) that a group of veterans were breaking the silence, with proof, that the U.S. and the UK have been covering up UFO activity surrounding nuclear missiles since 1948,
even describing a UFO landing on a British base. They say that UFO's have been visiting the bases, hovering over, and shutting down nuclear missiles. They go on to say that the military, as usual, have been using their well honed skill of misinformation to keep it quiet. Oddly enough I could only find a couple places where this article had been posted and most were exactly the same as the others.

Also mentioned in the article was a 1976 sighting of a cigar shaped craft over FE Warren nuclear base in Wyoming. The same base that lost control over 50 nuclear missiles in October, and it's not the first time it's happened. This story was even harder to find than the last one, some of the few sources being news from other countries. Now if you don't know where I'm going with this by now, you haven't been paying attention...to anything....for a while.

You may remember the Mystery Missile that launched near the coast of California earlier this week. The one that no one seems to know anything about, but everyone has a theory for. The news today is that it was a jet contrail, and I could believe that had it not been for the other stories I found today.....plus the statement from NORAD that said “At this time we are unable to provide specific details, but we are working to determine the exact nature of this event. We can confirm that there is no indication of any threat to our nation and we will provide more information as it becomes available."

I love how they can tell you that you're safe when they don't even know the cause.....typical.

The Alien Ambassador

I know I'm really late on this one, but I've been gone for a while and I'm warming back up. I remember when this one hit the news sources a couple months back. Not everybody reported on it but there were enough outlets to make a stir. I myself was stirred, then disappointed, then suspicious.

In late September it was reported that Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist and Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), was being appointed as the Ambassador for Extraterrestrial Contact by the United Nations. This meant that if and when some little green men showed up and said "Take me to your leader." she would be the one they see first. Of course some of us believe that it won't happen nearly the way I've just described it and others will say it has already happened, that will be for another post in the near future. Just a couple days after the story broke to the public, The Guardian published this article in which Othman denies the claim saying "It sounds really cool but I have to deny it".

Denial seems to be the name of the game when it comes to these things, and considering that the Denver Initiative 300 was gaining attention at the same time makes my inner conspiracy theorist and disclosure enthusiast start rattling the cages. Could these two situations be only coincidence? Of course, but where is the fun in that? I'd like to think that there are bigger things on the horizon.

A Return + Denver's Initiative 300

So after various breakdowns (equipment, money, time, sanity) the What's Out There Show has returned, albeit in blog form for the time being. I want to say that I was off doing exciting things, digging up new info, and finding new subjects to make videos about. However, none of those things are true so I won't say them. What I will tell you is that I became very wrapped up in the mid-term elections this year, and spent more time on that than can be good for you. Now while I was mesmerized by tea parties and scandals and such, I came across this beauty and (obviously) thought of the show.

If you're familiar with anything UFO, ET, or conspiracy related, then you know about Denver, CO and their airport, if not click here and get caught up real quick, I'll wait..... This isn't actually about the airport, but you can see that it is believed that Denver has some shady stuff happening already. So when I heard about Initiative 300 I wasn't surprised, well, I wasn't as surprised as others.

In a nut shell the initiative states that the government has known about the presence of extraterrestrial beings and has withheld advanced extraterrestrial technologies.
What the initiative aimed to do was gather (accurate) information about extraterrestrial beings, present it to the city government and residents. Assist residents and visitors with reporting sightings. Develop protocols for peaceful interaction in the event of contact.
The commission was to be funded by a combination of grants, gifts, and donations, with the first item on the "Powers and Duties" section being to solicit and accept gifts, grants and donations.

Of course the initiative was voted down (with some chuckling coming from the polling booths I'm sure). With the research that most voters do I would venture to guess that the first time many of Denver's voters had even heard about Initiative 300 was when they saw the ballot title.

"Shall the voters for the City and County of Denver adopt an Initiated Ordinance to require the creation of an extraterrestrial affairs commission to help ensure the health, safety, and cultural awareness of Denver residents and visitors in relation to potential encounters or interactions with extraterrestrial intelligent beings or their vehicles, and fund such commission from grants, gifts and donations?" Yes___ No___
