The joys of having a student at your school being recruited by your favorite University, is we get personal visits from the Big Guys!

Fall Pictures

We are so in love with our fall pictures! I had to wait to share them until the majority of our Christmas cards were mailed out.

State Cheer Competition 2014

2014-11-15T07:08:00.000-08:00

So proud of Savannah and her performance at the State Cheer Competetion! We all were wanting to walk away with first place in the state of Alabama, but we placed second in the state. I am still super proud of all these girls and a job well done. No one understands the time and dedication these girls have put into this. Now it is time to move on and prepare for Regionals. Go Pirates!

Boo At the Zoo

2014-10-24T06:56:00.000-07:00

We took the baby boy and baby girl to Boo at the Zoo tonight! We had a great time watching them ride the rides, trick-or-treat and a few shows. They were excited to run into a few friends while we were there.

Savannah was off being way cool going out to dinner and to Sloss Furnace with all of her friends!

Last JV Football Game

2014-10-23T06:58:00.000-07:00

Savannah cheered in her last jv football game tonight. Such a bitter sweet night. I cannot believe the next year she will be in high school.

Hail State! Beat Auburn!!

2014-10-12T07:53:00.000-07:00

This weekend was the best weekend EVER as a Mississippi State fan! I can only hope that this will continue the entire year! College Game Day was in Starkvegas, MS! That is so unbelievable! Never have we hosted such large events in the city of Starkville as we have the last two weekends. Last weekend was SEC Nation and this weekend College Game Day! We traveled over to Starkville Friday to set up our tents for tailgating. It was already a madhouse in town. We got our normal spot and spent the rest of the day looking over all the sites of College Game Day!

And of course we had to get some Bully Icecream!!

Saturday we headed back to Starkville bright and early for a full day of tailgating and Mississippi State Football! It was such a treat to be with great friends from college and a few of my favorites from Fayette stopped by to see us all!

Finally it was time for the big game. We had planned to just tailgate, but at the last minute two of the littles decided to stay at the tailgate with Julia and Trey so Savannah and I got to go to the game. And what a game it was. State took the early lead 21-0 and never let the Tigers take the lead the entire game. It was a great defensive and offensive battle. Everytime the Tigers showed a little momentum, the Bulldogs answered back! I was so proud of my great university and the class and sportsmanship the fans showed after the game. Everyone stayed in their seats cheering, singing Maroon and White, and Hail State! So happy to have been part of the great day even if we did get drenched in the down pour!

The kids were so excited after the game to get pictures with a few of the players and cheerleaders!

And what better a way to celebrate a huge win over Auburn and being ranked Number 1 in both polls is to celebrate with a little more Maroon and White on Sunday morning at church!

HAIL STATE!!!

2014-10-07T11:01:00.001-07:00

I'm like a year behind on my blog and I promise myself that one day I am going to get caught up, but I have got to start getting back on track and what a better way!

HAIL STATE!

My university that I love so much is finally getting the national attention! After absolutely demolishing Texas A&M this past weekend we are ranked #3 in the AP Poll! Yes we have to share the rankings with Ole Miss (BOOOO), but even with that you cannot take the excitement! College Game Day will be in Starkville on Saturday for our game against Auburn! We will be in Starkville too! We do not have tickets (very sad about that),but we will have a great time tailgating with our friends and cheering on our Bulldogs from the Junction!

Love this football season and our Mississippi State Bulldogs! It takes me back a few years to when I was at every ballgame cheering on my Dawgs!

A Little Fall Baseball

2014-10-05T12:46:00.000-07:00

Jack and his team played in a small tournament today. Jack was so excited to be playing in pink today to honor is Nana who is a survivor of breast cancer. They didn't fair so well in pool play, so the silver bracket is where we played the remainder of the day. The boys played exceptionally well in bracket play! The Pirates won the Silver bracket. Super excited for these sweet boys. Especially for my little man who hit another homerun today! Yay Jack!

Following the Scriptures

2014-05-04T11:29:00.000-07:00

Our sweet Julia was baptized today. We are thrilled beyond words that our children will spend eternity with us. We were so blessed to have most of our family in church to witness her baptism and a very special family.

Julia's 2nd Grade Play

2014-01-30T09:08:00.000-08:00

Julia is such a little ham and loves being on stage. She was so excited that she was selected to have 2 parts in the play. First she got to be her teacher, Mrs. Rhodes and then she got to be a snowflake. She was precious as was the entire play.

Christmas Day 2013

2013-12-25T08:59:00.000-08:00

Christmas Day is always celebrated at my parents house. We have little time with just our family and then all the Davis family roles in for the afternoon of food and presents. I never get very many pictures because everyone is all over the place and I have to keep up with the kiddos.

Christmas Eve

2013-12-24T08:34:00.000-08:00

We celebrated Christmas with Trey's parents and Kelly and the boys on Christmas Eve. We decided to grill steaks for a late lunch before going to the Christmas Eve Service. It was so nice to just be together without extra people after all the events of earlier in December. I wasn't sure how Christmas would be this year without Chris, but everyone did really well. It is still just so surreal that he is not here with us anymore. The kids were all super excited with all of their presents.

After church we headed back home to Winfield to get ready for Santa to come visit the kids!

Santa

2013-12-24T06:30:00.000-08:00

Santa was sure to come to our house this year because of course the Williamson kids were extra good this year. The kids were so excited to set Santa's cookies and coke out for him and head to bed for a good night's sleep.

Christmas Fun

2013-12-23T06:41:00.000-08:00

We had our annual Christmas breakfast with Caroline at Charles. The kids are super spoiled by Caroline. This year she got the kids way too much for Christmas. We miss our sweet Caroline so much and we cherish our time with her.

After breakfast with Caroline we took the kids ice skating in Tuscaloosa. It took them a little while to get the hang of ice skating, but ended up doing really well. It was great to get away with just the kids for a little while.

Christmas Card Pictures 2013

2013-12-08T06:22:00.000-08:00

Getting a Christmas card picture this year was super hard. We had a rough December with Chris being so sick and traveling back and forth between home, Tupelo and Amory. And our pictures we had scheduled with our photographer got cancelled because of the rain and the extreme temperatures. I wasn't sure a Christmas card was even going to work out this year. So Mother helped me get the pictures made at her house and the cards turned out super cute!

Brittney and Michael's Wedding

2013-11-16T10:12:00.000-08:00

All of my little cousins are no longer little girls anymore. Brittney and Michael had a beautiful, sweet wedding. Savannah, Jack and Julia were all members of the wedding party.

Veteran's Day Program

2013-11-08T10:04:00.000-08:00

The 2nd grade class always gets the honor of singing at the high school Veteran's Day Program. Julia was so excited about going to sing for the big kids.

Where The Wild Things Are

2013-11-01T09:50:00.000-07:00

Julia's class had a wild rumpus in honor of their reading unit of Where the Wild Things Are. The students had to design a mask of a wild thing. Julia gave the honor of helping her with the mask to her Nana. Nana is the expert on making this mask since I think this is the 5th grandchild to help with this project.

Hallowen 2013

2013-10-31T09:36:00.000-07:00

The kids enjoyed dressing up and trick or treating for Halloween this year. Savannah and Jack both think they are grown, but do still enjoy doing the fun things of being a kids with Julia. We went to a few houses and then headed home since it was a school night and the kids got SOOO much candy from the few places we went.

The cheerleaders also had a fun Halloween party.

WCHS Homecoming 2013

2013-10-25T10:14:00.000-07:00

The kids had a great time dressing up for Homecoming Week at school.

Savannah & Julia

2013-10-22T11:19:00.000-07:00

Julia was so excited to be a mascot again this year. She was even more excited because she got to be Savannah's mascot.

Fall State Baseball Tournament

2013-09-22T07:35:00.000-07:00

The Pirates are playing in a few tournaments this fall to prepare for the spring baseball season. The distance between the bases and the pitcher mound move this year so we needed a jump on getting ready for this big change. We started the fall tournament with a close game with the Dragons. We ended up with one lost in a game we should have one. Then the boys stepped their game up and won the next game in pool play. They were fired up and ready to play in bracket play. The boys played their absolute best and came up the winners of the Fall State of Alabama Champions. Jack played a great tournament. He was hitting well and pitching great. Jack pitching is something I am still having the get use too. Jack has normally just played 1st, 3rd and catcher. It is a big change when my baby is on the mound controlling the tempo of the game.

These two got a little tired before the game was over! This only lasted for a few minutes.

First Home Football Game

2013-09-03T07:02:00.000-07:00

The first time to cheer at a ballgame in front of the home crowd is always nerve wrecking. Savannah was great. The girls did a great cheer during half time. Being a cheer mom is full of fun and that dreaded word drama. Why can girls just not get along and why do they have to knock each other down all the time? We left the game in tears, not because she did not do a great job, but because of older girls negative remarks. I know this is not going to the be last time that Savannah gets knocked around, but I do know that she learned a lot from this experience.

When we got to the game, Jack found out the water boy was sick so they needed some help on the field. He and his friends quickly volunteered to do the job tonight.

First Ballgame

2013-08-27T11:41:00.000-07:00

Savannah did a great job cheering at her first ballgame. We were so proud of her and the rest of the cheerleaders. Savannah was so excited that we played Haleyville and she was able to see Mary Katheryn.
