School Pajama Party!

2014-01-17T20:38:00.000-06:00

Always such a cute party St Paul's puts on for 3K, 4K, and 5K. This years theme was Curious George. The kids had fun doing crafts, dancing with the man in the yellow hat, eating snacks, reading a story, and ending with a movie. The school does a great job with this event and encourages the kids to "go bananas" which is exactly what mine did. (Including Gavyn continually running into walls on purpose and throwing himself on the floor.) The kids' teachers were there which made them both so happy. I overheard Gavyn saying "This is the best party ever!" He had so much fun and Lilyana loved watching a movie with her friends in their sleeping bags. Gracelyn was so good too and made it through the event past her bed time with no crying! Not sure how much fun Daddy had but he was a good sport and came with. :) Our Friday nights sure have changed since kids came along! Kids are already sound asleep and now Mommy gets to have her own party and relax with a glass of wine. :)

December Memories

2013-12-26T13:37:00.001-06:00

The kids had their Christmas Program at St. Paul's together. They did such a great job. Lilyana has a great memory and knew all the words to many songs. Gavyn tried his best and tried very hard at learning the actions. ;) I was able to enjoy time at Lilyana's Christmas party at school, it was really fun watching our little social butterfly interacting with her school friends. We were blessed with A LOT of snow before Christmas which usually doesn't happen. The kids have been having a blast outside. Lilyana made her own tunnel to crawl through. :) Cookie decorating and crafts on days spent not outside. (For some reason these pictures went out of order and I am too lazy to put them in order).

Paradise Ranch Sleigh Ride!

2013-12-15T09:48:00.000-06:00

Another great year at the Paradise Ranch. This year there was snow so it was actually a sleigh ride! A beautiful ride through the woods with beautiful horses. The kids get Santa all night to chat with. The warming house has games, hot cocoa, cider, and popcorn. After the sleigh ride the kids made s'mores out by the bonfire. Love this night!

Our Christmas Tree!

2013-12-03T21:41:00.002-06:00

We have been getting our tree from Useldings in Cedarburg for many years. I love it because it brings back memories from when I was a child. We went to the same tree lot and I remember the aisles of trees just looking like they went on forever and the trees appeared so tall. The snow on the ground, rows of beautiful trees, smell of pine, picking out the best tree ever. I am now reliving it all with my kids. It is so neat to watch them run around just as excited I remember I was. Gavyn is getting old enough now to get into Christmas, he woke up the following morning after decorating the tree wondering where the presents thinking it is already Christmas. Now to attempt to find time to get the rest of the house decorated!

Grafton Christmas Parade!

2013-12-03T21:15:00.001-06:00

The kids had a great time at the parade this year! Sunny and no wind made for a perfect parade day! Gracelyn was such a trooper the entire time even though she couldn't move with her Christmas Story snowsuit on!

Thanksgiving 2013

2013-12-03T21:09:00.000-06:00

Another great Thanksgiving. We hosted at our house and I was pretty proud of myself for cooking for the huge number of people in the family! Grandma Peg, Ashli, and Jason came over for pie. It is always so nice to see them! A lot to be thankful this year!

Excited Girl!

2013-12-03T20:58:00.005-06:00

So onto something new as parents, loosing teeth. First off, I think this is so gross. Everything about it, the wiggling of a loose tooth, the tooth itself, the missing spot in the mouth where the tooth was, all gross! Well anyways, Lilyana is beyond thrilled that her teeth are falling out! She also likes to keep everything so had to write a letter to the tooth fairy requesting her to just look at the tooth and not take it. :) Today at school tooth #2 came home in a little baggie. Another note written to the tooth fairy. Even though I think the whole teeth falling out is disgusting it is amazing to watch the joy on her face when the tooth fairy comes with sparkly money. (And the amount shown here was a first tooth special, she will not be getting $5 every tooth!)

Just 4 Fun

2013-11-22T19:40:00.004-06:00

Lilyana had a half day of school so we spent the afternoon at "The Play Place". Gracelyn was old enough to do some exploring of her own! We will be spending a lot of the long winter days here!

Thanksgiving Feasts

2013-11-21T16:10:00.001-06:00

I got to spend some time with Lilyana and Gavyn at school today to partake in their Thanksgiving feasts. Gavyn had a feast in the morning, it was nice to spend some quality time with just Gavyn and he loved it. After the feast we watched a movie in his classroom. It is amazing how good he sits and listens at school-such a big boy! Then I got to head back again in the afternoon and enjoy a Thanksgiving feast with Lilyana. She is truly a special little girl and I believe the loudest out of every kid there! Lilyana has a half day of school tomorrow then the kids are off for a week for a Thanksgiving break. I am thankful today for getting to spend the day at school with my kids!

The Farm!!

Feeding the goats!

This little guys Mom passed away last Spring. He is following in her footsteps. RIP

Gotta love the disgusting tongues on these animals!

First time milking a goat!

Mini-golf!

We try to make a trip to the Farm each trip and highly recommend it! It is such a fun place! We packed a lunch and made a day of it! Also forgot about the Fun Park we went to, kids first time in Go-Karts was so funny! I was scared out of my mind driving! And mini-golf, Gavyn's first time! So fun to watch!

Not sure where she got flashing a peace sign for pictures came from. :)

Attempts at a family photo, then had to ask someone else. Still can't get all the children to behave for a photo. :)

This is what I had to walk around with, Mike in his Door County shirts!

Walking back to our home away from home.

Our views, beautiful.

Carriage Ride

Another amazing vacation in Door County. I will never get tired of this place. We had such a wonderful time staying in Egg Harbor for the Pumpkin Patch festival. We had a great condo just minutes away from downtown Egg Harbor. We couldn't have asked for a better place, it worked so well for our family. We spent time at the festival, hiking, getting ice cream, enjoying a sunset horse drawn carriage ride through Ephraim, swimming at Grandpa and Grandma's pool, enjoying the grounds of our condo cooking out, going to apple orchards, wineries, and of course a visit to the Farm! (Pictures of that in the other post). Next year is just too far away, may need to book sometime this winter. :)

Pumpkin Farm!

2013-10-06T18:48:00.001-05:00

We had a lot of fun at the Cedarburg Creek Farm! Highly recommend this place, very reasonable compared to the others. Many free activities as well. Tons of bouncy houses, Gavyn is not a bouncer so while Lilyana jumped he spent time riding the tractors and playing in the corn box. (Both were free). We took a long wagon ride (also free), feed the animals (25 cents), listened to great entertainment (also free), Michael Jackson's Thriller! Lilyana was runner up in the hula hoop contest! She was up to 5 hula hoops at once! Lilyana and I then got lost for quite sometime in a huge corn maze. I was actually getting nervous since the corn was twice as tall as I was and I didn't have my phone on me! But alas, we made it out alive! We went to the patch and picked our pumpkins, of course the kids find the biggest most expensive ones! Love fall!

Harvest Fest

2013-10-04T19:49:00.001-05:00

The kids school had their 1st Annual Harvest Fest tonight. The weather ended up being the perfect fall night for the fest! The kids had a blast pumpkin bowling, roasting hot dogs, making s'mores, playing games and going on a hay ride! And Gracelyn sat in her high chair for the first time. :) Such a big girl. Happy fall!!
