Hello WinJunkies!

It has been a while since we last blogged! It’s our fault, we know. There’s no excuse.

We connect daily through Facebook and Twitter, but we should do our very best to post here more, too. Generally, we try to keep this space reserved for more than just giveaways, updates & schedule information. This is a place for introducing exciting new features and game-changing ideas.

Well, folks. Today we have some very, very exciting news.

It is with great pleasure that we launch our newest offering: Partner Contests.

Partner Contests are a series of monthly contests that will run alongside our weekly Featured Contests. They will run 24/7 and re-launch on the 1st of every month.

New Features: The WinButton & The Prize Pool

Hello WinJunkies!

We have been very busy the last few weeks tucked away in the WinJunkie lab discussing the feedback we received from all of our wonderful users. From technical issues to game-changing ideas, we’ve heard it all. But the themes that stuck out the most to us were twofold: more user interaction + bigger and better prizes. After some long brainstorming sessions and more than a few coffees, we think we’ve come up with something very, very exciting!

Without further ado, we are thrilled to introduce you to two New Features: The WinButton & The Prize Pool!

The WinButton

Welcome to the WinJunkie arcade. The WinButton is a cool feature that allows you to earn instant prizes with the click of a button. Once a day, you will be able to click the WinButton for your chance to win Gift Cards, Discounts, and Extra Entries! Want to add a little more excitement to your week? Visit WinJunkie.com daily and test your luck!

The Prize Pool

First we had the Grand Prize. But not enough people were winning. So we added Special Offers for everyone who enters. But that didn’t have the same winning feeling. We needed something more. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re proud to announce an additional tier of prizes and in turn, created The Prize Pool. Each contest will now offer up to 3 tiers of giveaways: Grand Prizes, Secondary Prizes, and Special Offers. Haven’t won a contest yet? Well now your chances are better than ever before!

New Feature - My Wins

Hello WinJunkies!

We would like to introduce a New Feature to make redeeming your vouchers even easier: My Wins.

The My Wins button is located in the top right-hand corner of every page, beside My Profile & Logout. Inside My Wins, you will find all of your Winning Vouchers and Special Offers neatly sorted by the date you entered the contest.

In order to redeem your voucher, simply click “Redeem” next to the voucher you would like to use and answer the skill-testing question. If you are correct, print off the voucher and present it to the Vendor at the time of purchase. It’s that easy!

Not sure if you have any Vouchers? Check My Wins and be sure to use them before they expire!

New Feature - Email Opt-in

If you entered the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience contest this week, you might have noticed this.

This is a new feature we have rolled out called Email Opt-In and here is why it’s awesome

You decide if the Vendor gets your email
You get another entry if you allow the vendor to have your email

We get feedback from you our loyal users who talk about how they are skeptical that we are simply turning around and selling information to vendors.

That simply isn’t the case.

We provide some high level anonymous stats to our vendors after a contest, and starting this week, will provide them a list of emails of users who opted-in to their lists.

Just another way that WinJunkie is innovating for you, and for our vendors.

Introducing Special Offers

So you might have seen this icon floating around some of our contests lately and you might be wondering what they are… well, they are Special Offers and they are amazing!

Think of them as a Thank You coupon from the vendor directly to you. They know that only some people are going to walk away with a big prize so to make sure that most people get something for playing, the Special Offer will give you a chance to check them out for less money.

Questions

Q: Okay… wait. All I have to do is press a button and Enter to Win and I might go home with a sweet Special Offer from an awesome vendor?

Yes! That’s right! Pretty amazing eh!

Q: Does everybody win a special offer?

It depends on the vendor, but most people will walk away with one.

Q: How do the winners get picked for these special offers?

The same way we pick the winners. It’s all random.

We essentially put everyone’s name in a big hat and the computer picks from there.

Q: Does having more entries into the contest increase my chance of winning a Special Offer?

Yes it does! We always reward sharing. Just like kindergarten. The more you share, the more you win.

Q: How will I know if I won a Special Offer?

You will get an email shortly after the contest is over. The email will contain instructions on redeeming it.

Q: Do I need to enter that pesky Skill Testing Question?

Yes you do! We love the law and stick to it. Canadian Contests require it!

Contest Reminders: Sometimes we forget to enter contests… it happens. Don’t worry, we have got your back. Turn on this email to get a friendly reminder to enter the contests before it’s too late!

Introducing Special Offers

There is an inherent problem with WinJunkie… few people win and many people lose.

Believe me when I say that this hurts us more than it hurts you. We really want everyone to feel like a winner.

To that end, we are working out a deal with certain vendors to offer Special Offers for our contests.

Special Offers are smaller prizes, coupons, discounts that vendors can give to a much larger audience. Some vendors will opt to give everybody that enters a Special Offer.

While we still can’t promise that everyone will Win each week, we are one step closer to bringing you a win each week!

Watch for more special offers coming in the weeks and months to follow.

Not sure what you mean by Rating, but the Leader board is contest specific and is calculated based on the number of entries and referral entries you have for a given contest.

Introducing the WinAmbassador Program

Well, you have spoken and we have listened.

We are currently changing the WinJunkie referral program so that you can only get a maximum of 50 referral entries / contest. These changes will take effect for next week, June 3 - June 9.

We are doing this for a few reasons:

1) We receive emails from disappointed and disheartened users who really want to win and feel as though the same small group keeps on winning.

2) We have created a program for our hardcore contest promoters so that your good work won’t be in vain!

Introducing the WinAmbassador Program

Earn $$$ each time you get a friend, a stranger, heck someone off the street to signup for WinJunkie.

We only pay $$$ for users that have confirmed their email and have entered at least 1 contest, but that’s a no brainer.

We feel that WinAmbassador is a Win-Win.

Another week of Canadian contests is underway at WinJunkie.com!

This week we have the coveted iPad and a special treat, tickets to see Brad Paisley at the Calgary Stampede!

Let’s talk about the iPad. There really isn’t much to say is there. It’s the most advanced tablet in the world and gets the most attention from Canadian contests and sweepstakes aficionados. We don’t blame you! I am using a first generation iPad now and WISH that I could win this one.
