<p style="text-align: justify;">DETROIT, Nov. 9, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ &#8212; TheCall solemn assemblies have aired exclusively on GOD TV from cities across the USA for several years. Now, for the first time, the global network will cover TheCall LIVE for 24 hours, and this time from Ford Field stadium in Detroit, Michigan.</p>
<p>The full 24-hour event will be available to Internet viewers at www.god.tv/liveevents from 6pm (EST) this Friday, November 11 through 6pm on Saturday 12. TheCall Detroit will also feature extensively on the GOD Channel this weekend, from 8:30pm (EST) on Friday, until 7am the following morning. It will resume from 10am through 6pm on Saturday 12 and a three-hour highlights program will be broadcast on Sunday 13 at 2pm.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Hosted by Lou Engle with many other influential prayer leaders, including those from churches in &#8216;Motor City,&#8217; TheCall, Detroit, will focus on restoring hope in the face of racial tension, economic collapse and moral degradation. Tens of thousands of young people are expected to gather at the 70,000-seat stadium to fast and pray for America, repent and seek God&#8217;s will for the nation.</p>
<p>The focus of TheCall is on Joel 2:15, which says: &#8220;Blow the trumpet in Zion! Consecrate a fast! Call a sacred assembly.&#8221; TheCall Detroit therefore, is not a time of celebration, but a time of repentance, worship and intercession and the many musicians and speakers participating in the gathering are deliberately not being publicized as this meeting is not about personalities, but all about earnestly seeking God.</p>
<p>&#8220;Believers from all across America will gather to fast, pray and cry out to God in this city that has become a microcosm of our national crisis &#8211; economic collapse, racial tension, and the shedding of innocent blood of our children in the streets and of our unborn,&#8221; said Lou Engle, who is the founder of TheCall. &#8220;God has chosen the place, where they say there is no hope, to be a staging ground for a great communal healing and His house of prayer for all nations. <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Local Nonprofits Will Raise Millions in Just 24 Hours</em></strong><strong></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>WASHINGTON, DC</strong>, November 7, 2011 – Starting at midnight on Wednesday, November 9, local residents will donate online to help raise millions of dollars for local nonprofits as part of the first annual <strong><em>Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington </em></strong>(<a href="http://www.give2max.org/">www.give2max.org</a>). Give to the Max Day is a massive one-day regional online fundraiser that will unite local Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC communities to support nonprofits serving the area.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As part of Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington, nonprofits large and small can earn their share of $125,000 in cash awards, including up to $25,000 for nonprofits with the most individual donors and the most money donated.  The individuals who bring the most donors on behalf of their cause can add an extra $10,000 to their donation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To keep it interesting for all participants, <strong><em>Give to the Max Day</em></strong> will also offer “Golden Ticket” awards of $1,000 for the nonprofits receiving the most individual donations within each hour beginning at 2 PM and ending at midnight.  There are also fun awards for 12<sup>th </sup>place and 44<sup>th</sup> place (in honor of the year 2012 and our 44<sup>th</sup> president).  Businesses can participate too by offering their favorite nonprofits matching grants to help them rally their supporters.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“On November 9, we want people to go to give2max.org and support their favorite local nonprofits by donating, fundraising and spreading the word,” said Lesley Mansford, CEO of Razoo.com, an online fundraising platform, which partnered with the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region and the United Way of the National Capital Area to create <strong><em>Give to the Max Day</em></strong>. “In Minnesota, Razoo has held two separate Give to the Max days and helped 4,000 nonprofits raise a total of $24 million!  Those kinds of funds are desperately needed in this region”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“The region’s culture of giving and helping others is strong, but declines in corporate and government support are taking their toll at a time when nonprofits are facing overwhelming demand for their services,” said Terri Freeman, President, Community Foundation for the National Capital Region. “<em>Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington</em> provides area residents the chance to unite in support of all the great nonprofit organizations that work tirelessly to improve our community.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“This event will open the doors to new source of funding for our more than 700 member nonprofits we serve throughout the region,” said Bill Hanbury, President and CEO, United Way of the National Capital Area. “By introducing them to a new digital age platform where more and more consumers are focusing their interests and philanthropy, we will expand the impact of our workplace giving programs.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;We have long been an enthusiastic champion of efforts that democratize philanthropy through the collective power of donations large and small,” said Jean Case, CEO of the Case Foundation. “Nonprofits have to develop creative approaches to reach new donors and advocates, particularly in tough economic times. We&#8217;re excited about Give to the Max Day’s potential to do just that in our community and to serve as a model for the nation to follow.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington</em> encompasses Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, The City of Alexandria, Falls Church, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, Charles County and of course, Washington, DC.  All registered United States 501(c)(3) organizations that have been vetted by the IRS are eligible to participate in the event.  This inaugural one day giving event is being held in conjunction with Digital Capital Week, which is a series of Web 2.0 events from Nov. 4-11.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington was created by online fundraiser Razoo, and organized and supported by The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region and United Way of the National Capital Area. The other six members of the “Eight Neighbors” group—an alliance of local leading nonprofit and civic organizations &#8211; have also come together to support this event: Center for Nonprofit Advancement, Greater Washington Board of Trade, Leadership Greater Washington, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington, and the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers. The Case Foundation is the Social Impact Partner of Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington. Well&#8230; we’re not, but we’re great at finding creative solutions, and this picture made us think about how putting on the perspective of a ninja (or any perspective outside your own) can impact your success.</p>
<p>As a nonprofit or cause-centered organization, chances are you’ve already put yourself in someone else’s shoes which is why you do what you do. But sometimes the work of doing good gets hard. When it starts to feel like the ceiling is falling down around you, maybe it’s time to start thinking like a ninja. Instead of just seeing a hole in the ceiling, recognize an opportunity for creativity.</p>
<p>For example, if you are a church with not enough kids and teens to justify special services just for them, stop looking at your main service as an adult service. Find ways to incorporate them. Let them sing or play instruments with the worship team, serve communion, or share testimonies. (You also might consider this if you have the opposite problem &#8211; too many kids and not enough adults to minister to them).</p>

<p>Shaun later moved to Texas to work with Teen Mania Ministries positioning, branding and marketing two entities under the Teen Mania umbrella: Acquire the Fire and BattleCry (national youth conferences) and Global Expeditions (international missions). It was also while working with Teen Mania that Shaun developed his public speaking skills, traveling to more than 30 conferences each year across the U.S. and Canada and speaking to thousands of teenagers and youth workers.</p>
<p>In 2004, Shaun founded The Winn Group: a boutique marketing, advertising, logistics and communications firm serving cause-centric, non-profit organizations. The Winn Group was born out of Shaun’s desire to help organizations maximize their greatest potential. Shaun’s dedication and determination have paid off earning the agency several notable awards including Addy Awards (at the regional, district and national level) and PIA Awards as well as recognition by the DSVC.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you’re a fan of The Biggest Loser, or if you’ve been reading our blog the last few weeks, then you may already be familiar with Phil and Amy. We’re huge fans, and we are so glad to be working with them.</p>
<p>Phil’s and Amy’s personal weight loss and fitness achievements are remarkable and inspirational in their own right, but the couple has such a heart for helping others that they have authored several books and begun touring across the nation challenging churches, companies, and other groups to take their 90 Day Fitness Challenge to change their lives. Parents themselves, Phil and Amy are also concerned about the growing problem of childhood obesity, and they have just released an inspiring new book: The Amazing Fitness Adventure for Your Kids!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sarah likes to think of herself as a jane-of-all-trades. Though a scholarship winning writer, Sarah’s interest in math and physics led her to complete a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. Her work in that field over the years following school was challenging and rewarding, but she longed to do something that made more impact on individual lives.</p>
<p>Sarah had never given up her love of accurate and meaningful written communication or her childhood dream of becoming a writer. She began putting her writing skills to use for her church and soon found herself changing careers to “write the vision” for other churches and non-profits. She now writes The Winn Group blog and copy for many of our clients in between feeding, diapering and chasing her three boys. She took a moment to answer our questions while her two-year-old climbed the bookcases and her 10-month-old twins plotted their strategy for following him.</p>
<p><strong>1. What is your favorite color &amp; why?</strong></p>
<p>Turquoise, Tiffany Blue, Sky, Ocean, etc&#8230; I love the calm cheerfulness of a light, bright blue.</p>
<p><strong>2. What is your favorite quote/saying &amp; why?</strong></p>
<p>“The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your relationships.” I don’t know who said it, but I think it pretty much sums life up. If we aren’t here to connect with other people, then what’s the point?</p>
<p><strong>3. What do you like to do on your day off?</strong></p>
<p>When I’m not writing, I love spending time with my husband and sons: going to the zoo, the park, or just playing in the floor at home.</p>
<p><strong>4. What is your favorite thing about working for The Winn Group?</strong></p>
<p>I love hearing about the great things our clients are doing and being a part of it all by helping them put those ideas into words.</p>
<p><strong>5. If your clients were going to send you a present, what would you wish for?</strong></p>
<p>Dark chocolate &#8211; and I won’t pretend I like it for the anti-oxidants. Dark chocolate-dipped strawberries, Godiva dark chocolate raspberry truffles, or Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares with raspberry filling. Mmmm!</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">New clients</span></strong></p>
<p>Carolyn Snelling has hired The Winn Group to develop a marketing launch plan for her new children’s book for Christmas, <em>Christ’s Cake.</em></p>

<p>We are working on a new logo design for Bethany Christian Discipleship Church and will also be providing a style guide.</p>
<p>Philip and Amy Parham of <em>Biggest Loser</em> fame have joined The Winn Agency for representation and booking, and The Winn Group is excited to help with marketing the launch of their next tour. And their newest book for children is launching tomorrow!</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">New projects</span></strong></p>
<p>We are looking forward to putting together a new marketing plan for Mission Trip Insurance to commence in 2012.</p>
<p>We have just completed a Presentation Folder and Postcard Campaign for RealEdge Real Estate.</p>
