Mothers Day 2008 is almost here and I was wondering about Mothers Love. In the heart of even the most cruellest person, the word “mother” inspires a plethora of emotions. For any man, his mother is the first woman in his life. A mother is the one to create you an preserve you. Something that is striking is that a mother is in love with the child even before the child is born. Just when a woman gets to know that she is pregnant, from that very moment, she is in love with her child. In fact, a mothers love is the most purest form of love on earth. Women are really lucky to experience motherhood and provide pure mothers love. Three cheers for women and Mothers.

I am one of those girls, by the way who often wonders what to buy for my mother, or my sister or my gal pals on any occasion. Shopping for myself is fun, and easy because I know what exactly I want , but how do I know what others need. I was looking for few gift ideas for women and then I thought I would share what I found.

Be it your mother, your girlfriend, your gal pal, your sister or daughter, flowers appeal all hearts. So don't forget fresh flowers.

Learn to cook her favorite dishes. Surprise her by cooking her favorite dish.

Jewelry adorns women for sure – the most beautiful creation of God. So u can buy ring, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, and earrings

You can also gift a Make- up kit or a hamper of toiletries.

Gift her a good book that she would enjoy reading.

If she likes cooking, gift her a good recipe book.

Another good idea would be to invest in a set of photo frames, if possible with old pictures of her favorite moments with you.

Apparels are something that women never get tired of . You can never go wrong ,investing in clothes .

Also accessories like bags and purses, watches, belts, gloves, key chains, sunglasses

Gadgets like Ipod, or a cell phone is also a not a bad idea. If your girl prefers pink, then you can choose the gadgets in pink.

You can make a gift basket full of your woman's favorite chocolates and cookies.

Shoes are also a great gift idea. Just be sure of her size.

It was March 8, 1857 when the garment workers, marched out through New York City with demands for shorter working hours, better pay, improved working condition and women's voting right. The procession was broken up by the cops. Time is changing and so the society too. But certain things seems to have grasped the society. Yes I mean the women society that has been suffering suppression since almost the inception of the civilization. Now it's the time to unite together and raise voice against the male violence against women. International Women's Day March 8 is celebrated each year in observance of the women advancement and to retain women's rights, eradicating the women inequalities.

Being an American woman I'm really proud that we could stand with the Iranian women society that is fighting against the anti-woman oppression of Islamic Republic of Iran. Although I'm not taking direct part in this movement but it's really making me feel special for writing this International Womens Day post. Hello! How have you been all these days? Hopes things are on smooth sail on your part. With Valentine's Day just be over another great event is peeping through and I think it's again one of those major events that we women have always valued. Yes, guessed right... International Women's Day is what's I'm talking about.

Let's not forget the year 1848, when the women's rights convention was held for the first time. Venue was in Seneca Falls, New York. Just after a couple of days of the meeting, 100 people (32 men and 68 women) signed the Declaration of Sentiments, drafted by Elizabeth Cady Stanton. It was in this resolution where the first pronouncement demanded that women should be given the right to vote -- The Women's Right To Vote, which was a part of the Women's Right Movement.

I was wondering what would have happenened if Adam refused to be influenced by Eve? The forbidden apple tree had always been there, inviting and tempting at the same time, but Adam had always refused to think beyond the point that he was taught to think! It took a woman to break convention, cross the barriers, reach out and break free. The serpent would have continued trying to get Adam to get the divine taste of temptation, and the latter would only bull-headedly denied it! Who loses in the end? No kudos in guessing that! The serpent might have got desperate and frustrated and even stung the poor man, ending with him our only slim chance of existing!

It took a woman to take charge of the situation and keep it under control. And look where we are now! Mankind in its full swing, we never looked back after that first bite and Adam’s apple did the talking!
