* Holy. Moly. Susan Boyle is THAT loved?!?!?!?! I knew she was a media sensation last summer, but I wasn't sure she'd be able to follow up with gigantic U.S. sales. Boy, was I wrong. A debut of 700K units your first week out as a new artist is HUGE nowadays. Man, those American Idol/America's Got Talent/Britain's Got Talent shows really know what they are doing. Between past and current sales darlings Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Clay Aiken, Leona Lewis, and now Susan, they are raking in the dough.

* On that note, Adam Lambert also succeeded in his sexy media stunt by debuting at #3 with a very respectable number in almost 200K in sales. Take that ABC! (ABC banned Adam from performing on Good Morning America after he "shocked and disgusted" many Americans with his androgynous debut on the American Music Awards. Whatevs. The problem with that performance is not that Adam was trying to shock and awe with the same kind of "is he gay? is he bi?" routine put on by Prince, Madonna, Lady Gaga and others before him, but the fact that he felt the need to scream and screech through the whole song when in fact it actually sounds really good as a regular studio track.

* Thank you. Thank you. Thank you America. You finally realized what I've been telling you all along. Rihanna sucks. Her dismal performance at the aforementioned American Music Awards definitely proved that so hopefully she'll fade away soon enough. (I know, I know. It's just wishful thinking.) However, it's definitely a big news story in that she almost didn't make the top 5 AND she didn't even sell a third of the amount of albums Scottish sweetheart Susan Boyle did.

* PLATINUM WATCH NEWS - Miley Cyrus is only 70K units away (and considering the jump she made this week, she'll probably be able to pull that off next week), Michael Jackson is only 110K units away, and Carrie Underwood, Michael Buble, Susan Boyle, and Andrea Bocelli are all 300K away. Usually I'd say 300K away would mean they are 1-2 months away from hitting platinum if they can keep up strong sales (platinum = one million units sold) BUT Susan Boyle might just hit that tally next week if she plays her cards right.

* Total sales have risen by about 1.6 MILLION UNITS this week (are you taking my advice?). FAN-TAS-TIC! As I said before, music is a beautiful, inspiriing thing (and a great gift for the upcoming holiday season), so don't steal it! :)

Sade Is A "Soldier Of Love" (New Album Coming!)

Inside sources have revealed to me that the rumors are true - smooth chanteuse Sade will be releasing her first album since 2000's "Lover's Rock" on February 8, 2010 (just in time for Valentine's Day!).

Sade has had a strong cult following since the 1980s, and so her fans (me included) will be thrilled to hear that new material is on the horizon. There is also supposed to be a duet with Maxwell on this disc (HOT!).

The new album will be titled "Soldier of Love" and you can view the cover art below:

She's a smooth operator indeed.

Yes, I'm up at the crack of dawn with all the crazies myself but I love it. I'm not running to Wal-Mart for doorbuster prices on Wii consoles, or standing on line at Best Buy for insane prices on HDTVs. I'm just aiming to complete most of my Christmas shopping today. It's a tradition amongst some friends and family of mine and I love it. The spirit is in the air, and you just might get some great buys out of it in the process. For those of you shopping along with me today, Merry Christmas and Happy Shopping. Hahaha.

MISS TLC SAYS: I don't know about you, but the fact that this product was even invented raises some flags for me. If someone somewhere believed that there was really a need and a market for this, then I wouldn't really trust the fact that anyone's getting truly decaffeinated coffee anywhere. My advice is this - if you have a health condition that requires you to cut caffeine out of your life, don't drink coffee and/or soda and/or tea period. It's better to start working on weaning yourself off of those things in their entirety instead of worrying and testing the supposedly "decaf" products you are served.

MISS TLC SAYS: I think this song is crazy corny, but I think this is her best video yet. There is a direct lineage to it, and there are elements of the movies "A Clockwork Orange" and "Taken". Also, this is the first time that she is truly showing her full face front and center through most of the vid. Yeah... maybe she shouldn't do that. Hahaha. Just joking... maybe. (You know Miss TLC. She loves to bring the bitchy.) Seriously though, they made her face look nice in the whitewashed/light-eyed/crying closeup scenes. On another note, I just saw a comment on a website about this video where the poster said "all of her stuff is eerily reminiscent of early Marilyn Manson". Wow. I SO agree. It's the same look, vibe, and character, just played to dance/pop music instead of industrial rock/pop. "Beautiful People" anyone?

All the truly sexy folx (i.e., Miss TLC & those like her) know that the hottest thing about the way "Gossip Girl"'s 3some kicked off last night was the music playing in the background. Chop Shop Records' artist Anya Marina's sultry sparse acoustic version of T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" played while the characters slowly drank, kissed, and began the experiment.

(And for those of you who feel you were cheated in on-screen action, don't worry. According to my sources, next week's ep is more explicit in showing what happened in flashbacks.)

In other "Gossip Girl" news, I have to sadden the fans for a minute. The show will be taking a SIX WEEK HIATUS from mid-January through March!!! All together now... NOOOOO!!!!!

Don't worry though. This doesn't mean there's trouble on GG street. It's just that The CW is airing a new show (which is only 6 episodes long) in GG's timeslot in order to try and capitalize off of their audience. Then when GG returns in March, they will be playing the final 12 episodes of the season CONSECUTIVELY. Nice.

Well Lady Gaga's Face Does Look A Bit Horse-Like...

Lady Gaga now has a My Little Pony decorated to look like her:

It's from Mari Kasurinen, a Finnish artist who has previously created ponies in the images of Edward Scissorhands and Princess Leia. I think that Kasurinen did a REALLY good job here. (In fact, I wouldn't even know that this pic was NOT Lady Gaga herself on all fours, but for the fact that there are the two plastic equine ears coming out of her head.)

I'm sure Gaga will love it, considering her whole look works off the camp bizarre world commonly represented in 80s pop culture.

Kudos to both ponies.
