Can Justin Bieber Invoke "Fear" As Much As Mark Wahlberg?

Online reports have revealed that Justin Bieber is rumored to be looking to remake the 90s teen classic, "Fear".

I gotta be honest, I actually think this would be a good move for The Biebs. One of the biggest problems for teen stars looking to convert their careers into long-term adult business plans is not being taken seriously as a grown-up. If Justin can convincingly play the Marky Mark character of David" from "Fear", then he could have people ignoring "One Less Lonely Girl" as quickly as Mark Wahlberg got them to forget The Funky Bunch. (Feel it, feel it! Ha - me and my friend Nicole used to jam out to that HORRENDOUS Music For The People album. Then again, we also practiced singing duets to Pebbles songs and she had a Menudo album, so we clearly weren't always playing with a full deck when it came to musical taste back then.)

But getting back to Justin buying the rights to "Fear" so he can sexually assault an Alyssa Milano-type in order to impress an older audience, the funny part is I updated this movie poster pic with JB's face, but in the original Mark had Justin Bieber-ish hair anyway. Take a look:

So the part may be perfect for him in more ways than one. Sadly, I can probably recite the lines to the original "Fear" with no problem. Mark was super hot back then, and that Reese Witherspoon flick took him from this...

...to this...

My biggest concern is whether or not Justin can pull off these two pivotal scenes that both ooze creepiness and psycho tendencies:

If you've never loved Madonna at some point in your life, then you are not American. So please take this time to pack up your bags and get out...Wait! Watch this Super Bowl commercial first because it might make you stay. ;)

If you didn't get chills during the quickshot audio clips of some of Her Madgesty's biggest songs, then I don't know what you are doing on this site. Because here at The Wonderful World of Miss TLC, we love music, girly things, fashion, the sexy, the debaucherous, and the game-changing and Madonna's been involved in ALL OF THAT throughout her illustrious 30+ year career.

When Madonna takes the halftime stage next month, her performance will be "imagined" by Cirque du Soleil and Madonna's longtime choreographer and creative director Jamie King. According to reports, the set list for the show will include (her new single) "Give Me All Your Luvin" as well as the Madonna classics "Ray of Light," Vogue" and "Music."

And there are also reports of Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. (both featured on the lead single and in the corresponding video), and Cee-Lo joining Madge onstage during the halftime performance. Hot!

Is It Dan? Is It Chuck? Is It Louie??? WHO Does Blair End Up With On Gossip Girl?!?!?

Blair has been living in a love square for many episodes on Gossip Girl. What we know now is...

(1) Chuck loves her and she loves him

(2) Louie still wants to marry her but she loves him more out of obligation than anything else, and

(3) Dan is infatuated with her however Serena is back to crushing on him and we don't know how Blair feels about the Humpster.....yet.

While it's true that Blair has already confessed her true love to Chuck, she WAS in love with her vows and we all know that Dan wrote those. What will happen once Blair finds out that she is stuck in a modern day tale of Cyrano de Bergerac? We shall see on Gossip Girl's 100th episode which airs next Monday. A weird piece of info that I was just sent had this picture attached with the comment "this is from the post-wedding episode - Feb. 6th".

Hmm.....so if Blair is sitting around looking confused and scared in sweats, then I think she calls off the wedding once she realizes Dan wrote the vows that convinced her to marry Louis ("I always feared that he didn't get me...but from the vows, now I know he does"), but she's not sure whether to run back to Chuck or forward to Dan.

The suspense is killing me! :)

The Top 20 Albums This Week:

MISS TLC SAYS:

* The Adele record really is a monster. Over 6 million copies sold in the U.S. alone, and the singles are still being released. 21 truly is the story of the year.

* On the other hand, it's crazy to think that Rihanna, who is ubitiquous on the radio and on TV is only slightly over gold at this point (583K units sold). Methinks she's a "star", but doesn't really sell as much as people would expect her to. That coupled with the fact that she's constantly touring and has trouble selling out shows, makes me believe that she as a brand is more popular than her as an artist. That's a dangerous recipe.

* It's nice to see that Beyonce & Jay-Z have both sold around the same amount of units of their latest albums (4 and Watch The Throne respectively) in around the same amount of time. B has sold a little over a million in 30 weeks, and Jay (with Kanye West) has sold about 1.2 million in 24 weeks. At least Baby Blue Ivy won't have to pick sides in the sales battle in the Carter home!

* Gotye looks to be on the rise album dropped within the normal 60-80% range in its sophomore week on the charts. I figure he will be platinum in 2 weeks.

* Total sales DEcreased by very little this week. About 14K units. We need to get those figures back up though people. Buy more music! :)

I gotta be honest - I think the bottle is fantastic. It will look very sexy in my walk-in closet room. It's clean and elegant, and perfectly represents Truth Or Dare and the woman behind it. I actually have a friend who works at Coty, and I must say - Sharon, congrats to you all for landing this deal! Good choice to partner with Madonna during her big relaunch year (Golden Globe win, new album, Super Bowl halftime show, fragrance launch, etc.)! :)

Mix Matters posted this lil news clip about the 5 Star Stunna himself, Mr. Baby Birdman:

Birdman notoriously placed a million dollar bet on the Green Bay Packers in last year's Super Bowl.

He then upped his bet for the NBA championship and placed TWO million on the Miami Heat to win the final last summer.

So now it's only natural that he upped his wager again with 5 milli.

My question is how someone could run their mouth publicly about throwing away such large figures without having the IRS come a-runnin'. Lil Weezy's already gotten pinched for tax issues so I'd keep it close to the vest if I was Bman.

Former MTV "The Hills"/"The City" reality star Whitney Port is set to debut her line Whitney Eve at next month's Fashion Week tents in NYC. Good for her - Whitney was always a sweetie. I genuinely believe she works hard at her fashion career, as opposed to other reality "stars" who just fall into such things.

Bravolebrity (star of the Bravo TV show "Chef Roble & Co") Chef Roble Ali and rapper/actor Kid Cudi have a lil bit of a sexy similarity...

In my mind though, Roble wins by a landslide. He's adorable as f*&k and he's also funny & down-to-earth.

A Miss TLC New Video Alert: Justin Bieber (Duet With Mariah Carey) - "All I Want For Christmas Is You (SuperFestive!)" [Creepy Or No? We Take A Hard Look!]

MISS TLC SAYS: Upon the first viewing I thought "this is creepy and uncomfortable... MC is 41 and Biebs is 17... and she is vamping it up all sexy like she usually does...I mean, really, is she trying to flirt with him???" Of course I banished that thought from my mind and said "of course not... it's not like she's grinding on HIM... she's grinding on the wall... besides, he's WAY too young for her." And then I remembered....... she's married to Nick Cannon. And obsessed with childlike materials and themes (*for evidence, see: actual Mariah Carey album titles). I mean, she has a perfume named Lollipop Bling (which comes in a gumball machine gift set). She's obsessed with Hello Kitty. Nick proposed to her ring pop-style for pete's sake! And did I mention she's 41??? Ok, now it all just got a little creepier to me. ;)

*Glitter, Rainbow, Fantasy, Charmbracelet, Butterfly, Music Box, Daydream, Emotions.

So I decided we should investigate further...

The video opens up with Mariah acting as a Christmas mannequin of sorts...a trampy Christmas mannequin that is. I mean, were the mini-skirt, torso cut-out, and spike boots really necessary for this particular version of Mrs. Claus??? I get the tie-in of Christmas magic in a big iconic department store (in this case, Macy's...a store where Justin & Mariah do a lot of promotion for their fragrances). Justin staring until Mariah winks is cute, but also a little confusing considering her sexified outfit. Is she flirting? Is he fantasizing? Or is he just a kid getting excited about possibly spying a real-life Santa slut in the store? (JUST KIDDING about the slut comment. She's more hoochie here.)

Anyway, Mimi continues to act like she's in heat for her entire verse...

...and then Justin rejoins the vid. I've posted some screencaps of JB for those with Bieber Fever.

In the end, Mariah & Justin reunite to distribute gifts and party with the Christmas crowd. However, not before Mariah coos her lyrics to JB with her hand extended seductively and her bare legs on display! I've created a GIF file to illustrate this scene to you all better:

Then MC tries to take the shoot down a notch by smooshing Justin's face in a "Look at this little boy! Isn't he just darling?" kinda way.

Ok, I get it. It's all in good fun. This is just a silly, merry, Christmas-y, for-kids-of-all-ages, dancing, happy, carol-based video.

But thennnn we get a shot of Mariah shaking her booty a SPLIT SECOND later. Kinda odd and inappropriate at that exact moment. This screencap looks like it was clipped from a Playboy shoot, much less a Justin Bieber video with a 41-year old "love interest".

In conclusion, I actually love this video. I know it seems crazy to hear me say that after all of the above, but it was all said in jest. I love Christmas and I LOVE Mariah's Christmas album most of all. This song is fab, and even though I am usually a purveyor of originals, this version is fun and bridges the gap between young and old/old and new that occurs during the holiday season when families are together and learning and loving from each other. The free and fun movements with Justin laughing and Mariah dancing are the most joyous. Most importantly, I think Mimi looks S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G in this vid and it was the best choice for her return to the musical small screen after giving birth.

I mean, LOOK AT THESE back to back screenshots of Mariah's solo "All I Want For Christmas Is You" from 1994 and this video from 2011:

Unreal. She actually looks better now. Then again, I don't think video airbrushing and botox was as prevalent in '94. KIDDING AGAIN! (Well, maybe not on that one. No seriously, music videos and styling was obviously 'rougher' back then, so it's understandable that Mimi looks shinier and prettier in the new vid. It's still pretty amazing though...cuz as I've reiterated many times in this post...she's 41.)

Before we wrap up, let's just take a walk down memory lane with screenshots from that old video in '94:

CRAZY that she's more covered up in the old one (when she was 24!) than now (when she's 41!).

What's even crazier is that Justin Bieber was only 8 months old when the original video came out!

Pairing suede with leather already wins points from me (I really love different textures on one shoe), but then adding a metal cap toe (a third texture!) AND color blocking (one of this year's best fun trends) really puts it over the top. Oh and did I mention this shoe is also a Louboutin? *Swoon*

I just hope the same loon from Justin's Someday perfume event doesn't show up and try to rush the stage. LOL.

(I know the guy came out and said he was just a plainclothes officer who was attempting to help JB in some way, but still. It looked crazy when the news footage was broadcast. Everyone expects Justin fans to look a certain way, and that guy was definitely not it.)

Either way, tune in tonight to NBC to watch the tree get lit while enjoying holiday performances from Justin Bieber, Cee-Lo, Michael Buble, Carole King, and Katharine McPhee!

* Nice. Michael Buble's Christmas album has been out for 5 weeks already, but NOW it has finally reached #1. Hot. I love him so I totally think this is deserved.

* Nickleback??? All I can say is G-R-O-A-N. You people are really buying this crap??? Ugh.

* Rihanna has successfully released 6 albums since her debut in 2005. Apparently people are not exhausted by her bad girl/sex addict/crazy and I can't sing act yet, so good for her. Keep 'em coming as fast as you can chica, because you never know when the ride is going to stop. (That being said, I do love love love me some "We Found Love".)

* Drake's album dropped within the normal 60-80% range in its sophomore week on the charts. I figure he will be platinum in 2 weeks.

* Total sales INcreased by over 1.7 million units this week. Yes! That holiday shopping spirit has taken over already I see. Hopefully we'll keep it up. :)

Welcome back to The Wonderful World of Miss TLC!!!!!!!

As always, things have been uber cray in our atmosphere. Between work, life & family; Miss TLC has hardly had a chance to breathe, much less continue to entertain your lives with the witty reparte you've come to expect from this site. Fear not loyal readers, we are BACK, and what better time to relaunch "The Wonderful World of Miss TLC" than during "the most wonderful time of the year"??? :)

We've missed you all dearly, and would appreciate comments here or on Twitter or Facebook, or forwards to your friends & family. It's gonna take a lot to get the word out that we are back and in fact, better than ever. We are planning some changes in the new year, but for now the site will still look and operate the same. Hopefully 2012 will be a great branding year for the team though so keep your eyes peeled for some cool new opportunities.

In the meantime, we will be introducing a bunch of new features, and here's one to start us off! It's called A Thing Of Beauty, and will feature anything we deem beautiful.

The vibrance of the red, the elegance of the pose, the placement of that hat - all perfect! Cheers Vanity Fair!
