Awesome Laptop Table That Is Used on The bed

While shopping around for some laptop tables, I came across LaptopTableBed.com where I was able to to find just about every kind of table bed that there is to offer on the market.

Some are light weight, fold-able types that would be great for storage or travel. Others are more of a platform, but the problem is they don't let any air underneath the notebook book.

Most of these look pretty stable for keeping the laptop from moving around while typing plus they supply some air flow underneath to prevent overheating.

Some even come with a built in fan and some others could be used for table use, when sitting at the desk or living room table.

The site also has some really cool stands for the iPad I want one even though I don't have an iPad ...Yet !!!

The price of a Forever Stamp could again be set to increase in 2011 putting the price of a first class stamp higher than its current rate of .44 cents per stamp. The U.S Postal Service announced that all future first class stamps will have no denomination showing the cost of a stamp and will be marked as "Forever" starting in January of 2011. The Forever Stamp was first introduced in 2007 featuring a picture of the Liberty Bell at a cost of .41¢ increased in 2008 to .42¢ and again in 2009 to .44¢ which is the current cost of a stamp for first class letters and envelopes today.

George Hotz is the kid who was the first to unlock the original iPhone back in 2007 and then iPhone 3GS in July of this year. Amazingly he unlocked again dispite the minor setback of apples release of 3.1.2 in just less than 2 days

Note for iPhone 3G and 3GS: Do NOT upgrade to iPhone 3.1.2 yet if you want to keep your unlock as doing so will result in upgrade of your baseband which will make it almost impossible for you to unlock.

SEATTLE -- A parachute unearthed in Southwest Washington could explain whether D.B. Cooper survived his leap from a plane 36 years ago.

The man calling himself Dan Cooper, also known as D.B. Cooper, boarded a Northwest flight in Portland for a flight to Seattle on the night of Nov, 24, 1971, and commandeered the plane, claiming he had dynamite.

In Seattle, he demanded and got $200,000 and four parachutes and demanded to be flown to Mexico. Somewhere over southwestern Washington, he jumped out of the plane's tail exit with two of the chutes and the money strapped to his body. He was never seen again, alive or dead.

Cooper's crime has kept investigators guessing over the decades. But the parachute, which was recently dug up by the children of a Clark County farmer in the area where the mysterious skyjacker likely landed, has raised new questions.

"It's fragile to the touch, and it's obviously been in the ground for some time," agent Larry Carr said of the canvas.

Children playing outside their home near Amboy found the chute sticking up from the ground this month in an area where their father had been grading a road.

Carr says they pulled on the fabric as much as they could, then cut the parachute's ropes with scissors. They had seen recent media coverage on the D.B. Cooper case and urged their dad to call the FBI.

The FBI previously said that while Cooper was originally thought to have been an experienced jumper, it has since concluded that was wrong and that he almost certainly didn't survive the jump in the dark and rain. He hadn't specified a route for the plane to fly and had no way of knowing where he was when he went out the exit.

"There are lots of odds against him surviving this jump," Carr said.

Until the parachute was recovered, the best evidence in the case was the $5,800 recovered along the Columbia River in 1980. A boy found the decomposing $20 bills in the mountains.

The rest of the money was never found, but the FBI determined the bills were a match to the Cooper crime. However, the found chute calls into question exactly how those bills reached their location.

"If this is D.B. Cooper's chute, then that whole theory about the finding of the money is gone," said Carr. "Where the money was recovered, there's no way (they were his). There are no tributaries that feed in that direction."

The FBI is now reevaluating the case and looking for people who had experience parachuting in the 1970s to help identify the chute.

Several people have claimed to be Cooper over the years but were dismissed on the basis of physical descriptions, parachuting experience and, later, by DNA evidence recovered in 2001 from the cheap tie the skyjacker left on the plane.

Why is there a Leap Year:

The reasoning behind a leap year is that, seasons and astronomical events in a solar year do not repeat in an exact number of full days. Adding an extra day to the calendar every four years, compensates for the fact that a solar year is almost 6 hours longer than 365 days.Therefore this keeps the calendar year synchronised with the solar year.

A solar year or tropical year,(which is 365 days, 5 hours, 49 minutes, and 12 seconds) is the length of time the Sun, as seen from the Earth, takes to return to the same position along the ecliptic (its path among the stars on the celestial sphere) relative to the equinoxes and solstices. Another words how long it takes the earth to travel once around the Sun back to the same position.

Every year that is exactly divisible by four is a leap year, except for years that are exactly divisible by 100; the centurial years that are exactly divisible by 400 are still leap years.In a leap year, the month of February has 29 days instead of 28.

A common year is 365 days = 8,760 hours = 525,600 minutes = 31,536,000 seconds.
A leap year is 366 days = 8,784 hours = 527,040 minutes = 31,622,400 seconds.

U.S. Passport to Visit Canada Delayed till 2009

As of Dec 21, 2007, passport requirements have been once again delayed meaning that US citizens arriving in to Canada by land or water do not need a passport until at least the summer of 2009.

However,until the WHTI [Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative] land and water dates go into effect,June 1,2009, American citizens crossing the border into Canada by land or water need ID that proves two things: 1) Citizenship, and 2) Identity by way of a photo.

A valid US passport or Birth certificate or Certificate of citizenship or naturalization
And
a current Photo ID, such as current driver's license will serve as satisfactory proof of American citizenship to enter Canada.

*The PASS [People Access Security Service] card (U.S. citizens may begin applying in advance as of February 1, 2008) and other potential passport substitutes will enable US citizens to cross land borders between Canada, Mexico and the US without a traditional and more expensive passport. The PASS passport card will be cheaper than a passport, the card may not be used to travel by air; in the meantime, lobbying for a high-tech driver's license is well underway.

Since September 30, 2007, American citizens flying to Canada have needed a passport.Canada does not require a passport for US citizens arriving by plane to Canada, however, the US does require a passport to get back in.

Alien permanent residents of the U.S. must present their Alien Registration Card.

Well here we go another increase,this is part 2 to the Forever Stamp a look back which was posted Janurary 1, 2008.

The Postal Service announced on Monday Feburary 12,2008 that the price for a one-ounce First-Class stamp will increase from 41 to 42 cents on May 12.The price of the Forever stamp will go up at the same time. But until then, these stamps can still be bought for 41 cents and will remain good after the rate increase.

The Postal Service has sold 5 billion Forever Stamps since the launch last April and plans to have an additional 5 billion in stock to meet the expected demand before the May price change.

BigSpy,Digg BigSpy places stories at the top of the screen as they are dugg. As new stories are dugg, older stories move down the list. Bigger stories have more Diggs.

Stack,Digg Stack shows diggs occurring in real time on up to 100 stories at once. Diggers fall from above and stack up on popular stories. Brightly colored stories have more Diggs.

The more content and images added to a website or blog effects how quickly or slowly it will load.

Slow load speeds tend to discourage users even though they may be interested in the content of your site or blog.

I came across a free site timer that shows you just how long it takes for your site to load, then it breaks down each item in a grid format.

This site shows the order in which items load and how long.By clicking on the small magnifying glass it will show you exactly what is loading at that particular time in the loading process, so that you can make a determination if you need this content or where it should be in the loading process.

This is a nice tool that can help you identify which items on your blog or website are slowing down the load speed.Some items may just be stuff that is really not needed.

Cleaning up your website or blog can really help give the performance speed that most of todays users are interested in.A slow loading website can lose valuable readers or customers.

Always make a back up if you plan on restructuring your blog or site.
