The Spirit of the Flinders Ranges

Jim Green returns to the Woolshed Restaurant Gallery this year after a highly successful showing of his collection of pen and ink drawings titled “The Shadows of the Ranges” in 2010.

This year Jim builds on last years theme – conservation issues in the Flinders Ranges.

The Colours of Nature

Samantha Tipler

Samantha Tipler is an Adelaide-based artist who frequently spends time in the Flinders Ranges taking photographs to inspire her paintings. The “Colours of the Nature” exhibition reflects her passion for colour, energy and expression and shows the inspirations of the beautiful colours,textures and shapes of the Flinders Ranges and in particular the patterns and details.

A Bronze medal for this years tourism awards, altogether a good result with some stiff competition. We are pleased but also fired up to do better!!

The Woolshed is in the finals of the Restaurant and Catering SA Awards of Excellence 2010 – Tourism Restaurant

Jon is a finalist (top 3) for the Maitre D Award 2010

Awards dinner is 26th June so keep your fingers crossed for us.

In the Tourism Restaurants  & Catering Services category of the recent State Tourism Awards the Woolshed Restaurant waltzed away with the Silver medal. A great result for a first submission, look out 2010 WE ARE GOING FOR GOLD!!

In good company, various Flinders Ranges businesses pulled off awards too, including our much loved Rawnsley Park Station Eco-Villas and Bendleby Ranges 4WD/camping.
