Shoulder Brace for Women

WLI (The Women’s Lacrosse Institute) is always looking for ways to help our athletes play better and also feel better. As with any professional sport, injuries are just part of the game. Yet an injury is something we want to prevent, if possible, and heal quickly if it does occur. That is why we have started to develop a line of medical braces that will give our athletes support on the field while still enabling them to play the game to the best of their ability. Since lacrosse is a sport that utilized the shoulders and arms frequently, we started by creating a shoulder brace that is supportive, comfortable and designed for a woman. This was just the first successful step on our quest to help our players!

As professional athletes, the women that are members of the WLI never want an injury to stop them from playing the game they love. That is why we focused on making medical braces that are extremely flexible, enabling the players to move about the field with ease while still helping an injury heal. One of our most used braces in the lacrosse world is the thumb brace since the women use their hands frequently and experience hand injuries often due to stick checks and aggressive defense. The brace bends with the hand but still restrains the hand in a gripped position- perfect for holding a stick and for healing an injury!

Many braces that our teams have used in the past did not hold up to several seasons of use. So, when we sat down to think about what would make a good brace for our players, durability was definitely on the list. Unlike a brace that someone may wear while walking along the street in regular life, our sport braces are being put to the test each and every day. They are moving, running and playing an intense game so they need to be able to last! In addition, the WLI is a privately funded league so we need to make the resources we have last! Every brace, from our elbow brace to our neck brace has been tried and tested and will last for a decade. Now that is high quality!

High heels or lacrosse shoes, the boot matches them all! Customizable, durable and flexible, the WLI braces are a total win!
