Workwear Express Race Ahead in Contract with Aston Martin

Workwear Express has secured yet another contract with a high profile brand.

The company has partnered with prestigious car manufacturers Aston Martin to deliver their staff apparel across all their UK sites. The partnership sees Workwear Express designing and supplying uniforms for 800 Aston Martin staff.

Aston Martin is a modern, exclusive sports car brand with a unique heritage instantly recognised around the world. Founded in 1914, Aston Martin is acknowledged as an iconic global brand and one of the biggest names in the automotive industry.

Workwear Express’ corporate team and its industry leading designers have started work with Aston Martin to provide consultation on a collection of uniforms that are fit for purpose yet stylish. The range of uniforms will include polo shirts, trousers and jackets which will complement the brands high quality image. Customers Satisfaction At All Time High At Workwear Express

Workwear Express is celebrating after reviewing their 2011 new customer survey results. The results show that Workwear Express, one of the UK's leading corporate clothing, workwear and promotional apparel specialist, is meeting and often exceeding customer expectations.

323 respondents took part in the survey in 2011. 93% of respondents would use the company again, with 83% rating service as excellent or good. 88% of customers rated Workwear Express’ overall product offering as excellent to good with 90% rating their range as excellent to good.

In 2011, Workwear Express ramped up its marketing budget to focus on its online assets and presence. The company was delighted with the impact this has made, with 73% of customers finding Workwear Express online via Google. 84% of customers said they found the company’s website an excellent or good sales system, with 91% rating the website overall as excellent or good.

The key reasons customers choose to work with the company were down to their reasonable pricing and wide range of high quality clothing. Customers also said they met their requirements and had the best lead times.

The survey is sent out each month to the latest new customers at Workwear Express. Customers opt whether they choose to take part and can remain anonymous if required. The survey’s aim is to continually review overall customer satisfaction, identify how they are finding Workwear Express, what they think of the company’s websites and how they rate their product ranges and prices.

The results were a testament to Workwear Express’ investments in 2011, which include introducing new business divisions and departments, new screen print machinery and investing more marketing budget online. Andrew Ward comments:

“We are delighted with the results. No business is perfect and we are under no illusion that just because the results are singing our successes, that there isn’t scope for more reinvestment and improvements”.

The business, set up in 1990, has in the last year improved production capacity, introduced two new divisions and customer service teams, and even adopted the latest marketing techniques to increase sales. Sales have increased and are on target for 20% year-on-year growth for this financial year (April 2011 – March 2012). The management team is predicting further sales growth in 2012/2013 by at least 30%, to increase its team by 25%, and improve production output by 40%.

Another Uniform Hits the Headlines - Sephora

Yesterday, the Daily Mail reported on Sephora staff receiving a makeover with new uniforms by Michelle Obama favourite Prabal Gurung. Even though the designs are receiving the press column inches, the general public is giving mixed reviews. Some say it looks like a uniform from the Star Trek Enterprise, others say it’s great to see the leading beauty online retailer adopting a unique look. At Workwear Express, we always like to see brands reinvent their corporate wardrobe and commend Sephora’s efforts. The designs are clean, striking and are certainly capturing people’s attention.

Earlier this month, we gave our opinion on the Gramercy Park Hotel and their new look uniforms for waitresses. It’s interesting to see that more companies are seeing the value placed in ensuring their front of house staff look the part and represent their brand well. Workwear Express help Geordie Shore Launch L’eau de Geordie

Workwear Express has supplied yet another top rating reality show with their apparel. This time, Workwear Express’ clothing can be seen modelled by stars from MTV’s Geordie Shore, in a photo shoot to launch their new perfume L’eau de Geordie.

Workwear Express based in Durham was approached by Beige London, the PR agency assigned to help promote the second season of Geordie Shore. The company was asked to supply white lab coats and aprons personalised with the Geordie Shore logos. The garments were featured in the L’eau de Geordie press shots, which have already received substantial media coverage. The cast of Geordie Shore worked with fragrance designers to create the unique scent. L’eau de Geordie aims to capture the essence of Newcastle – the smell of kebab.

Last week, we witnessed some of our clothing being modelled by members of the Celebrity Big Brother House. This week, it’s the cast from Geordie Shore. Our thoughts on why a bespoke waitress uniform caused a media frenzy!

“For me listening to the article it ticks all the boxes of a good and successful design. It’s emerged from wearer consultation to ensure all aspects are fit for purpose and is some what unique and very representative of the brand. I am not surprised to see this level of interest in the uniform being shown by a boutique hotel/eatery as this is one industry that really understands the importance a uniform plays in setting the tone of the establishment. Too often do you see every aspect of a corporate brand be upgraded and addressed and the staff stick out like a sore thumb for all the wrong reasons as they are still reflecting past times or the fact the marketing budget ran out before they got to uniforms, as they are either left in old uniforms or simply given something chosen with no thought because it was the cheapest option. Continuous corporate training programs continually tell staff they are "the face and forefront of the brand" though too often this is evidently forgotten. Therefore, its nice to see a design such as this making the news and showing the impact a bespoke uniform can have on a brand, as we sure wouldn’t be talking about this if it was a black trouser white shirt combination picked by the junior buyer. Did I mention I love the design! Great fit and lovely drape to the fabric”.

Palace Skateboards win European Brand of the Year 2012

Workwear Express kits out Big Brother 2012

Workwear Express recently teamed up with Endemol UK to supply some of their clothing for Celebrity Big Brother 2012.

Workwear Express was approached at the end of 2011 and asked to partner with the Endemol production for their next series. The company has so far supplied high visibility jackets, green aprons, white blouses and sets of black and white gloves, some of which were showcased by the celebrities in last night’s fairy tale themed task.

Andrew Ward, Managing Director at Workwear Express commented: “This is the second year we have partnered with Endemol to supply apparel for the Big Brother series. The team at Workwear Express were delighted to hear about our involvement in the show again and ensured they tuned in to watch last night’s challenge. A new machine for Workwear Express

We’re glad to announce the arrival of another brand new 12 colour M&R Sportsman screen print machine adding to our existing fleet.
