Nothing like catching up with friends when I touch down in my hometown of Atlanta. Caught up with Rotmi for a quick lunch. (If he looks familiar, it's because he was the lead guy in Keyshia Cole's "Trust and believe" music video and he's an actor on the Starz Network show "Boss.")

And you know I had to get my mane tamed. My Atlanta hairstylist always does me COMPLETE justice. Thank you Danie!

Apparently my best friend thought it was take your BFF to work day. A visit to set turned into an all day situation.

Excited that I got to spend some time with my mini me. Love my little sister.

Also did some club hopping with my girl Karlie Redd.

My favorite part of going home besides getting to see my fam is eating! I had to sneak in some food from one of my favorite places in ATL. Front Page News has the best shrimp & crawfish étouffée. Yum!

...Atlanta was amazing, but it's time to head home to LA. I'm so exhausted right now. I can't wait to curl up in my pod and catch up on some good 'ole sleep.

Happy New Year loves!!!! Although I'm sure many of you imagined my NYE would be spent somewhere "popular" (like vegas, maybe?), I spent my New Years Eve in Cleveland with Keyshia Cole. I've learned fun isn't based on where you are; but you who you're with. Bringing in 2013 was definitely one for the books. I don't drink often but when I do, I do it big...

KC dyed her hair a soft pink color & posed together we look like a baby shower. ...or a bag of cotton candy. LOL

When I tell people how crazy my weeks are sometimes they think I'm making excuses not to hang out. Recently, we (Team Keyshia Cole) embarked on a crazy promo run of 7 cities in 9 days. It was countless hours of radio interviews, performances, pictures, questions/answers, listening sessions and autographs. ...and I love every second of this organized chaos.

First Stop: Dallas, TX

"At Home With Chris Attoh"

I was honored to have been called upon to shoot a segment for a brand new African TV series 'At Home With Chris'. The program is hosted by popular Ghanaian TV personality Chris Attoh and will be shown prime-time on DSTV (Africa's cable network) to 41 countries across Africa, reaching an audience of over 600 million people. How exciting?!

'At Home With Chris' was filmed at a super plush (but cozy) location in Atlanta. Chris chatted with me about everything from my typical day to how it feels to be an African making moves in the United States.

I'll be sure to let you all know when it airs. I'm sure there will be an online link for me to share :)

....they told me they were filming from the lap up, so I put on my fave Guiseppe flats. Don't judge me! LOL

In the midst of styling on the set of Lance Gross' photo shoot for Rolling Out Magazine, I had a little random convo with the camera about: inspiration, why school wasn't for me (even though I graduated with a few degrees), and becoming a sneaker-head by default.

UNCF Evening of the Stars was held in Pasadena, CA this past weekend. For the red carpet I put Keyshia in Elizabeth & James blazer + skirt & shirt. The shoes are Nicholas Kirkwood.

For the performance look, I put KC in a leather jacket by Katie Gallagher, Rebecca Minkoff pants and Guiseppe Zannoti boots.

I was trying so hard all night to dodge the cameras, and then the moment below happened. Eeeeekkkk. LOL.

Cutting Up

It's crazy how much of a difference a new hairstyle (or in my case, a haircut) can make in your day. Since I moved to L.A exactly one year ago (Nov 30, 2011), I've been searching desperately for a barber. Who would have known that finding the Holy Grail would be an easier task that finding a great barber in L.A? Nonetheless, my search ended today and I'm so stoked! Back to a-haircut-a-week status :)
