24 potential GOP candidates for 2016?? Wow even Fox News thinks it's a bit too much, and so do I.
Out of the 24 pictured above, we already know that, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio have thrown their hats into the ring. Expected to announce in the coming weeks are Donald Trump, Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Chris Christie, Rick Santorum, and Lindsay Graham.

Political pundits across the United States have said it will cost between 1.8 to 2.5 billion dollars to run for President. That's just insane if you ask me, and the old saying that money buys power is very true in American Politics.

On the Democratic side we have Hillary Clinton, who will most likely be the Democratic candidate for President, unless something really goes wrong in her campaign. Anyway now back to the GOP candidates. From a comic perspective, I hope that Ted Cruz, or Donald Trump win the nomination on the Republican side. But I think we are going to see a Clinton vs Bush match up next year, with Clinton of course winning in a landslide.

At the stroke of midnight on Monday March 23rd, 2015, Senator Ted Cruz announced via Twitter that he's running for the GOP nomination to become the next POTUS.

For those of you that must be wondering why I have a picture of Cruz, with the Canadian flag. Well Texas Senator, Ted Cruz was born in Canada. His father was working in the oil fields in Alberta, and his father was born in Cuba. Cruz's mother was born in the United States. Now some will say that as long as one of his parents were born in the United States, Cruz could in fact become President. Others say that he has to be born in the United States. Until this matter is brought up and decided by the Supreme Court, it will be a very grey area.

Some media outlet have said that Cruz is unfit to become President. It's not because he was born in Canada, it has to do with the fact that Ted Cruz is just plain crazy. He's the guy who claims to be a god loving, fiscal conservative, yet he was able to shut down the US Government, and the cost to take payers was in the billions.

Cruz's policies are questionable to say the least, and his only experience on the world stage is that he was born in Canada. As he's the first one on the GOP side to announce his bid for the nomination, I predict he will be the first one to withdraw from the race.

width="200" />

Over the past several months the main stream media has been reporting of the strained relationship between between Obama and Netanyahu. While it's well known that these two leaders don't like one another, it's not the first time that a President of the United States, and the Prime Minister of Israel have not got along.

American Presidents over the past 20 years have a history of not getting along. This has been causing conflict between Americans presidents and more conservative Israeli leaders for over 20 years. George H.W. Bush and allies in Congress refused $10 billion in loan guarantees because Likud Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir wouldn't accept Bush's conditions limiting spending on West Bank settlements. George W. Bush rescinded $289.5 million worth of loan guarantees to punish Ariel Sharon, also of the Likud, for settlement expansion.

In 1996, Bill Clinton all but openly campaigned against Netanyahu, inviting incumbent Prime Minister Shimon Peres to visit the White House just before the vote. Clinton (correctly) believed Peres would be more receptive to his push for a peace agreement. Netanyahu won the election, chilling relations between Washington and Jerusalem until Ehud Barak ousted him in 1999.

While American Presidents have had their issues with Israel, the relationship is still a very strong one. Not only does the United States give financial aid to Israel every year, they also support Israel with weapons to help them defend themselves against aggression by their Arab neighbors. They also share intelligence, and technology, like the development of the Iron Dome Defense System.

On the issue with Iran, I believe that it's very important to first try and get an agreement in place before taking military action. With an agreement in place, it would give the world a chance to have inspectors, and surveillance equipment installed at their nuclear facilities across the country. Without an agreement, Iran will go unchecked in their quest to get nuclear weapons. Latest intelligence estimates claim that Iran has at least 6 facilities that could not be taken out by bombing alone, and would require the use of ground forces to locate and destroy. It should also be noted that this agreement would not be just between the United States and Iran, but between the major powers in the world.

President Obama has made it very clear that if no agreement is reached, he's not ruled out the use of military force to ensure that Iran does not get nuclear weapons. Iran has been backed into a corner with the sanctions that the Obama administration has placed on Iran with the help of most nations around the world.

So people, if two world leaders don't like one another, as is the case between Obama and Netanyahu, it's not the end of the world, nor is it the end to the strong relationship between Israel and the United States.

Donald Trump must be joking if he's really serious about running for President of the United States. Trump over the past 8 plus years has always said that, America needs a person with a business background like himself to save America.

Let's just take a long hard look at Mr. Trump's success in business. On the positive side he can talk the talk, and has built a good empire in real estate. On the negative he's filed for corporate bankruptcy not once, but 4 times during his career. His casino has gone bankrupt several times, and he's been restricted from owning a casino in Las Vegas because of his failed casino's in New Jersey.

Trump spent millions trying to prove that Obama was not born in the United States, and he failed every time. He donated millions to several key Republicans in their election bids. He sued Bill Maher, and then withdrew his lawsuit, when he realized that he did not have a leg to stand on.

I just can't see Trump sitting down with world leaders, and for that matter working with world leaders. Trump likes being in charge, and telling people what to do. However being President of the United States is about compromise, and having the ability to work with other people. The world is a very scary place, and America will need a leader who understands that, and Mr. Trump will never be that leader.

Well it seems that way, with the announcement that Donald Trump is setting up a committee to look into a possible 2016 bid for the White House.

As a first step he's quit his television shows, which by the way have tanked over the past couple of years. With Trump looking at entering the race on the GOP side, along with another Bush, maybe that crazy Canadian Senator from Texas Ted Cruz, and we can't forget Marc Rubio, and Paul Rand, it's going to be one crazy race on the GOP side.

Now on the Democrat side, we have Hillary Clinton who has not officially entered the race, but is polling at 56% among Dems, with VP Biden in single digits, and former Senator Webb at 1%. These 3 have yet to announce that they are running, but Clinton is expected to announce within the next month that she intends to run again.

When you match up Clinton with any of the GOP candidates she's ahead by a minimum of 10% in the recent tracking polls. Regardless of who the Republicans and Democrats pick as their candidate, it's going to be one hell of a race.

The title of the picture says it all. Let's recap what's happening in the world of GOP politics. Newt who was the former Speaker of the House during the Clinton years, and gave the Contract with America is now the up and coming candidate. It was at one point he had his whole senior campaign staff quit on him, and everyone counted him out. So what happend? Well I think it has alot to do with the fact that he's performed quite well during the debates and he's not engaged in the mudslinging that's taken place between Romney and Perry. I suspect that Newt has staying power until the end but won't win the nomination.
First it was crazy eyes Michelle Bachmann who was the self proclaimed front runner.
But now she's in the single digits with little hope of lasting past February.

Then we have Herman Cain who most people including myself felt he had what it takes to win the nomination and go up against Obama. The past couple of weeks he's been hit with sexual harassment from so called events that took place some 15-20 years ago. Cain has staying power but he won't win the nomination now as the far right won't end up backing him in the end.

So much hope was placed on Rick Perry when he entered the race, but what a train wreck he's become. His performance in the debates have been a joke. At some of his speeches he appeared to be drunk, and you know your fighting for your political life when you appear on Letterman saying the top ten that's directed at you. I also suspect that Perry will be out by February or March.

Well I don't know what to say about Ron Paul, but for some reason he's been in the top 3 for sometime. However I think this is going to change with the recent rise of Newt Gringrich. I don't know why he's running as a Republican as he seems to hate everything that government stands for. But then again we are talking about GOP politics.

Like the sign behind him says "Ask Mitt Anything" and he will give you 2 answers to the same question. Mitt has flip flopp so many times during this race that it's hard to see where he stands on any given issue. Having said that he's still the front runner and will most likely win the nomination, but he won't win the race for the White House. The Obama team will use his flip flopping against him and label him as an out of touch candidate for President.

The one other candidate who seems to make sense is Jon Huntsman, but he's at 1% in the polls and has not been able to connect with the voters. Why is it that when someone actually makes sense, the voters just don't care. Do they want a candidate and maybe a President like George W. Bush was who had a hard time putting a sentence together.

Reports are all over the internet that Israel is preparing to launch an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. The International Atomic Energy Agency is going to release a report on Tuesday about the status of Iran's nuclear program. I'm quite sure that both Israel and the United States have advance knowledge of what's in the report, and that could explain all the rumbling about Israel preparing to attack Iran.

Now some will say that Israel has no right to launch an attack on Iran, as Iran has a right to develop nuclear weapons because Israel has them, and they being Iran need to defend themselves. To those people I say "Hogwash"! Iran's President has said in public that he would use a nuclear weapon to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Iran would delivery on that as they have the missiles to do so.

Over the past few weeks the Israeli air force has been conducting exercises using long term bombers, and they have been testing their Jericho Missiles which are also unknown as bunker busters and can go deep into Iran's nuclear facilities which are in the mountains and underground.

So what would happen if Israel does attack Iran? Iran will most likely send missiles into Israel and attempt to use their fighter jets to attack targets inside Israel. The Israeli airforce is the best in the region and Iran's airforce would be shot out of the sky. Could Iran launch a ground way against Israel? No as they would need the help of Syria and Syria is in no position to help Iran given their own internal struggles. Would Iran attempt to attack US forces in Iraq and in the Persian Gulf? Yes they would but the United States still has the forces in the Iraq to mount a massive counter attack, and this week the United States now has in place 2 aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf, along with 28 other warships, and for Iran to attack US forces would be just nuts, but Iran's President is nuts so I would not rule that out.

So why would Israel want to attack now? Well the timing is perfect for them to do it. The United States still has a major force in Iraq, but that all comes to an end very soon as the US is pulling their forces out of Iraq. Israel knows that if the US forces are gone from Iraq, then Iran could use Iraq as a launching point for a ground war with Israel. But while American forces are still in Iraq, Iran would not be able to use Iraq.

In the 1980's when Iraq was building a nuclear facility, Israel launched a surprise attack and destroyed their facility. Israel also issued a warning to Iraq that if they attempted to launch missiles with chemical weapons attached, Israel would destroy Iraq. We all know that Iran has chemical weapons and the missiles to deliver them into the heart of Israel, and we all know that Israel has Nuclear Weapons and would use them if an attack by Iran with chemical weapons took place.

In the 1990's you had Bill Clinton go in front of the American people to say that he never had sexual relations with Monica. As we all know he lied to the American people and the Republicans wanted his head on a platter.

Now we have one of the front runners for the Republican nomination, Herman Cain defending himself from sexual harrassment changes from the 1990's. Cain first denied everything, then he said he kind of remembered an "agreement" being reached, and not a "Settlement". First off if you decided to run for the highest office in the United States you need to come clean at the start with anything that could harm your chances. It's been said that this drama was released to the media by a member of one of the other candidates campaign team. I would suspect it was from the Perry camp, as I don't see Mitt Romney going so low to do this to another Republican.

Now a word of advice to Herman Cain and his campaign team. Wake up and if you are trying to hide anything come clean how. A good campaign manager would do his/her own background checks into a candidate before working for them. Nobody wants to get caught off guard and have a candidate like Cain saying one thing in the morning and then later in the day saying something different.

This is not like running for Mayor of a small town, you are playing with the big boys who won't play fair at all. So Herman it's time to step up or step out.

A recent poll released in Iowa has Cain leading Romney by 2 points, with Ron Paul in 3rd place and Michelle Bachmann coming in 4th. Texas Governor Rick Perry is also in single digits.

Most pollsters feel that the rise of Cain is a direct result that he's not a Washington insider and the fact that he's not held public office. Cain is a very successful businessman with a proven track record of creating jobs.
This race I feel won't be decided until at least March or April of 2012, and I still feel that it will be a close race between Cain and Romney, with Romney most likely winning the race as hard core Republicans won't an outsider like Cain as the person to go up against Obama in a general election.

Could Herman Cain win the Republican nomination to take on Barack Obama? Well I think he actually has a shot at winning the nomination. This guy is not your average politican, in fact he's not even a politican, he's a very successful businessman.

Watching his performance during the CNN debate on Tuesday night, and his interviews after the debate, he comes across as a straight shooter. Has he made mistakes? yes he has, and unlike someone like Rick Perry or Mitt Romney, he admits it, and comes clean.

His polls numbers have him either in the lead or tied with Mitt Romney, with Rick Perry coming in 3rd or even 4th in some polls. I know my Conservative friends would be falling off their seats when they read this, but I actually support Herman Cain if he was to become the Republican nominee for President. It's very refreshing to hear someone who's seeking the highest office in the United States to tell it like it is.

I think he's gaining the support of the general public, but the big question is will the Republican base select a black man to run against Obama? Given the recent history of the Republican party I don't think it will happen, but I hope I'm wrong.

So who's Herman Cain? just visit http://www.hermancain.com/ to find out.

In 2008, John McCain came out of nowhere to win the Republican nomination and go up against Barack Obama. Now we are again in the Republican election cycle and another Cain without the Mc is seeking to be the Republican candidate for President.

So who is Herman Cain and where did he come from? To read all about him I suggest you check out his website at: http://www.hermancain.com/

His bio is quite interesting, and he's never held public office. That could be a good thing as his background is all business. Cain came from nowhere to be considered the front runner, and tonight he will be taking part in a debate with the other Republicans in Las Vegas which can be seen live on CNN starting at 8pm EST.

A few weeks ago when Bush 2 entered the race (Rick Perry) everyone said he was going to the one to beat, but after appearing in a couple of debates the Republicans woke up and said we can't have another George W. so he has fallen to 3rd place, and unless he pulls a rabbit out of his hat he'll be done within a few months.

Herman's claim to fame is his 9-9-9 tax plan. In a nutshell his plan calls for a 9% payroll tax, a 9% national tax, and a 9% income tax. Members of his own party claim his tax plan would increase taxes on the poor and middle class, but he claims that everyone is already paying several hidden taxes, and his system would clean up the mess of a tax system that's been in place in the United States for generations.

In Canada our payroll/income tax rate is in the high 20%, plus we have a national tax called the GST. Some provinces like Ontario have blended their provincial tax with the federal tax, so in Ontario our tax rate on goods and services is 13% and it's called the HST.

The United States tax code is in need of a major overhaul, but I don't think Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan is the way to go. If Cain has staying power and actually wins the nomination it will be a very interesting race for the White House next fall, and one for the history books.

Until next time!

What started as "Occupy Wall Street" is now turning into a protest movement across the western world. So what are these people actually protesting, and why has this movement picked up so much steam.

For starters the Occupy Wall Street protest was to bring attention to to the fact that trillions of taxpayers money was used to bail out banks, and Americas largest Wall Street firms, while the average middle class American was facing foreclosure on their homes. This all started during the Bush administration when George W. decided to take the billions in budget surplus left to him by Clinton and hand out tax cuts. His idea was by offering tax cuts to the job creators in the United States they would build more factory's and invest in creating jobs. However this was not the case, what they did do was take that money and save it, or invest it off shore, thereby not creating any new jobs. On top of this 9/11 hit and America was at war. Then Bush decided to invade Iraq thereby using the American credit card to finance 2 wars and his tax cuts.

In early 2008 a recession hit most of the western world, and the decline started to take effect. 2 of Americas car makers went bankrupt, tax revenues were on the decline and word bailout became a household word, but not for the middle class and the poor. Like I stated at the start of this posting Americas banks and big Wall Street firms received trillions in government money to save their butts. So what they did was take the money and then turnaround and give themselves millions in bonuses using our money. During 2008 another movement started taking shape and it was called "The Tea Party" and they wanted more accountability from the Federal govenrment, they wanted less taxes, and wanted less government.

Some say that within the next 10-15 years the middle class won't be around anymore. The two classes will be the rich and the poor. People need hope, people want change, and all political parties today don't offer any of this, and that's why this movement will only expand over time, unless governments of all stripes wake up and make the changes needed.

I say is in reference to the Arab Spring, but I don't think "The American Winter" will turn violent.

With signs indicating that the US might be headed into another recession, one has to think how will they get out of soaring debt, high unemployment, and a political system that's on the verge of being controlled by The Tea Party.

A recent chart came out which listed the ratio of CEO's pay to that of the average worker. In Canada the ratio was 20:1, in England the ratio was 22:1, in Mexico the ratio was 47:1, but in the United States the ratio was 475:1. So for the earnings of 475 workers would equal that of 1 CEO. Yes CEO's are the leaders of their companies, and they are considered the one's who create jobs, but this is just nuts.

When we had the financial meltdown in the United States which was created by the major banks and Wall Street, not one CEO ended up in jail, and in fact they were bailed out by the Federal government using tax payers money from the average American worker. What really gets to me is the fact that some of the CEO's who made millions, paid less tax then a worker who earns $ 50,000 a year. Don't get me wrong I'm all for people making money, but when you nearly destroy the banking and financial system in the United States you don't deserve the pay that you get, you deserve to be thrown in jail for financial mis-management.

The United States is facing a 14 trillion plus national debt, and declining tax revenues to service the debt because of what is considered an unfair tax system. Obama is right when he says that the rich should pay their fair share of taxes. Clinton had it right in the 1990's when he raised taxes on the top 1% of Americans, and he was able to wipe out the federal deficit and left office with a massive budget surplus. Then came George W. Bush who lowered taxes for the rich, entered into 2 wars and ran up a massive debt.

Some on the right will argue that if you raise taxes on the top 1% of American wage earners they will not invest in creating jobs. This logic from the Tea Party / Republicans is just insane. Bush lowered taxes, and it did not help create any new jobs, and in fact it allowed the rich to take more of their money and stick it in some off shore tax haven. Some have suggested that it might be fair to introduce a flat tax system in the United States so everyone pays a certain percentage regardless if they make $ 50,000 a year or 100 million a year. This idea to me sounds great, and it also sounds fair, but we all know that the right will never agree to this.

So what does this mean for the future of the United States? Well it means that if the United States does not change their tax system to increase revenue, they will be on the verge of bankruptcy, and the last thing the world needs is a bankrupt United States of America.

The gift the keeps on giving. A new book is about to hit the shelves called "The Rogue " its 318 pages that give more insight into the lady who could of been a heart beat away from being President had her and McCain been elected in 2008.

In the book Palin believes that God wants her to be the President of the United States. Well if that's true she would have been elected in 2008 and then god would have struck down McCain. Thank god that did not happen, and god only knows where the world would be if Palin was President.

She strongly believes in her faith, and is a devoted christan, at least according to her. It's now coming out that she's done drugs, has had an affair, and god only knows what else is hidden in her past.

While I've not read the book myself here's a link to a brief outline of what to expect when the book is released next week.

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/1055449--book-sets-out-to-find-palin-and-destroy-her?bn=1

I think that once this book is released it will the end of her chances of entering the Republican race to be the candidate to go up against Obama next fall. But given the slate of GOP candidates seeking the nomination, and how far right wing the United States is becoming she might just become the nominee and with the help of God (as Palin would say) the next President of the United States.

The highlight of the night was when a question was asked about a 30 year old man with no health insurance and if he needed emergency medical attention who should pay for it. The question was directed towards Ron Paul. His response was that the man or anybody else made a choice not to have insurance and therefore he should pay. When Wolf Blitzer said do you mean if he dies then he dies because he did not have insurance, and the audience went nuts and were heard screaming that he should pay, and let him die..

What! I have to say that these Tea Party members are so right wing that they make George W. Bush look like a Liberal. If the tea party has their way the American government would be 2 guys sitting in a room and they would be the President and Vice President.

The Tea Party movemennt has taken over the Republican party and the 8 people seeking the Republican nomination, maybe except Mitt Romney are catering to the Tea Party members of the Republican Party. Rick Perry from Texas, who at one point wanted Texas to leave the United States now calls the Social Security System a big Ponzi scam, and he would get rid of the whole system if elected.

What's sad is that one of these Republicans might just get elected as President, unless Obama gets his true mojo back.

The best thing would be for Sarah Palin to enter the race and win the nomination as she won't beat Obama in a general election, but someone like Rick Perry might.
The U.S. was a nation built on the hard work of average everyday people who believed that working hard, saving your money, and helping your kids would lead to a nation that can achieve anything.

Well today the United States is now a nation of debt. The United States owes 14,587,916,000,000 or $ 47,662.36 for every man, woman and child. The world over the past several weeks witnessed the failure of the political leaders of both political parties come to some sort of bi-partisan agreement that could have prevented the lowering of the triple A credit rating. The Speaker of the House could not gather full support of his party because of the Tea Party members who wanted more, so he gave in and changed his plan so he could gain the support he needed in the house to get the bill passed. Over at the Senate the Democrates control also resulted in there own members wanting more, and Harry Reid the Majority leader also had to give a bit so the bill could pass the Senate, and Obama could sign it into law before the Tuesday night deadline.

The debt ceiling has been raised several times over the years with little or no effort. This was because the leaders of both political parties, and their members knew it was the right thing to do so the government could meet it's obligations. So what was different this time? I think it has to do with the fact that Obama is President and maybe, just maybe because he's black. Yes I said it, I used the black word. Ever since Obama was sworn in as President, the GOP has made an effort to block him at every move, they have labeled him a weak President, a Socialist, and other things that I won't repeat in this posting.

One has to understand that it was George W. Bush who used the credit card of the United States to wage two wars, it was Bush who gave tax cuts to the top 2 percent wage earners thinking that would create jobs. It was Bush who took a budget surplus from the Clinton Administration and turned it into a massive deficit. It was Bush who allowed Wall Street and the Banking industry to run amok which lead to the largest financial meltdown since the great depression.

Prior to Bush being sworn in as President, Bill Clinton had created 22 million jobs while President, and oversaw the largest growth in American history since World War 2.

So what I'm trying to say is that this whole debt issue and the downgrading of the United States credit rating can't be blamed 100 percent on Obama. It was the GOP who would not work with this President, it was a former GOP President who took his hand off the wheel and allowed the rise in the U.S. Debt to happen. It was the Tea Party members of the Republican party who have effectively taken over the GOP who need to step up and admit that they were wrong and do what's right to bring America back to the nation it once was.

I've been watching with great interest the whole Debt Ceiling crisis in the United States, and have held back my comments until now. Michelle Bachmann who very well could be the GOP's candidate for President is just as bad as Sarah Palin when it comes to the facts surrounding the mess the United States has got itself into.

Here's a quote from CNN by Michelle Bachmann...

"This isn't the deal the American people 'preferred' either, Mr. President,"
Bachmann said in her response. "Someone has to say 'no.' I will."
"Mr. President, I'm not sure what voice you're listening to, but I can assure
you that the voice of the American people wasn't the voice that compelled
Washington to act," she said in a statement after the president announced a deal
with congressional leaders Sunday night. "It was you that got us into this mess,
and it was you who wanted a $2.4 trillion blank check to get you through the
election."

Really Michelle! The debt ceiling is not tied to new spending, it's tied to spending that has already taken place. For example Michelle, when your former leader, George W. Bush took office he was left by Bill Clinton a massive budget surplus and a national debt that was a quarter of what it is now. It was George W. Bush who used the United States credit card to finance 2 wars, a drug benefit program that costs billions, and let's not forget tax breaks for the top 2% of Americans. Bush's idea was that if you give tax breaks to the richest Americans they would use that money to invest in jobs. Well how's that working for you Republicans?

Also let's not forget the Billions that was used to bail out the banks, and Wall Street that all occured during the dying days of the Bush Administration. Obama was sworn in 2009, and the government was operating on the budget of the Bush Administration and not Obama.

So Michelle the 2.4 Trillion blank check that you talk about is to pay for spending that's already taken place and it's not for new spending. 2/3 of this problem is that caused by George Bush, and 1/3 is Obama's. Michelle these are the true facts, and we all know you love laying the blame all on Obama, but maybe you and your party should take a nice long look in the mirror next time to see who's really to blame of all this mess.

<p$1><p$1>Well what can I say that has not already been said by most media outlets across the world. Rupert Murdoch's empire is about to explode. </p$1></p$1>

<p$1><p$1>With the arrest of several senior executives at Murdoch's British divisions, and the FBI looking into the hacking of phones, and e-mail accounts of several Political and Hollywood figures by Newscorp in the United States it looks like this will become the biggest scandal so far of the 21st century.</p$1></p$1><p$1><p$1><p$1><p$1>For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past 30 years, Murdoch is the owner of Fox News, which is known for their strong support of the Tea Party movement and the Republican party. Murdoch has backed every major Conservative candidate in both the United Kingdom and the United States. </p$1></p$1>
<p$1><p$1>His influence in politics is well known, and this is just another example of Conservatives thinking that they are above the law and better than the rest of us. </p$1><p$1>This is just the tip of the iceberg and as the days turn into weeks, this scandal will dominate the airwaves.</p$1><p$1>Until next time!</p$1></p$1></p$1></p$1>

White House releases official Birth Certificate

In a surprise to the White House Press Core, the Director of Communications handed out a copy of the actual birth certificate of President Barack Obama. In the past they have only released the electonic copy of live birth.

Of course when Donald Trump heard of this he said that "After all these years I was the only person to get our President to release his actual birth certificate" Really Mr. Trump do you think it was finally you who was able to do this? I suspect that Obama and his team wanted to finally put to rest the whole issue and knock Trump down a few points in the polls.

I bet that Trump and his group will claim that this is a fake, or he'll say something like the signatures don't match. We've not heard the last of this from Trump because he has nothing else to run on, if in fact he does plan on actually running.

So Mr. Trump, Obama has come clean on his birth certificate, now it's your turn to come clean on your financial statements. Let's see if you are really worth 2.9 billion, or this is just another lie from the reality television star.

Donald Trump is still going on about President Obama not being born in the United States, and he won't let up. He's demanding that Obama produce a copy of his birth certificate. Well Mr. Trump I'm demanding that you produce a copy of your tax return, and let America know the truth that you are not worth the 2.9 billion that you claim to be worth.

Remember that the Trump Casinos in Atlantic City have gone bankrupt not once but twice. The first time you were a majority shareholder and the second time you owed a 10% stake. If you can't manage a casino bearing your name, how can the American people have faith that you can run the country.

Thoose of us in Canada know that your unofficial bid for the Republican nomination is just a stunt to promote your show and your brand. Gee if Trump was to actually run for the nomination and win, who would be his running mate, Joan Rivers?? Maybe Richard Hatch, or how about Gary Busey....

Mr. Trump, please just go away and let real people play politics.
A senior White House aide says real estate tycoon and prospective GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump is displaying “sideshow behaviour” in questioning President Barack Obama’s American birth and respect for the Constitution.
Senior White House adviser David Plouffe says that “there’s zero chance” Trump would be “hired” by the American people as president.
Plouffe’s comment, a riff on Trump’s business-themed reality TV show, came after he was asked on ABC “This Week” about the tycoon’s recent swipes at Obama.

So the budget was released yesterday, and the other 3 parties have said they would vote down the budget, most likely by Friday March 25th, 2011. The NDP asked that the government remove the HST on home heating costs as part of the budget, they refused. The Liberals and NDP asked that they put off the corporate tax cuts which would amount to 6 billion less in taxes collected, until Canada is on stronger financial footing, they refused. The Conservatives did announce 2.3 billion in new spending to please some people, but it does not go far enough in helping our seniors who live below the poverty line, it does not go far enough in helping middle to low income families. But it's fine for Harper to spend 35 billion on fighter jets, un-disclosed billions on new jails.

Don't forget that the Conservative government might not fall on the budget. There's a contempt of Parliament facing the Conservatives, and the Liberals have an opposition day on Friday and they plan to introduce a non-confidence motion on the contempt charges, and this could trigger an election before the budget vote.

So order your lawn signs before they are all gone...
The historic move by the Commons procedure and house affairs committee could lead to a non-confidence vote, which could bring down the government and launch a spring election.
The report, just a dozen pages long, concludes the government is in contempt for refusing to disclose the full cost estimates for its anti-crime legislation, corporate tax cuts and its plan to buy stealth fighter jets.
The committee is also considering whether to find International Co-operation Minister Bev Oda in contempt for misleading MPs on her decision to deny funding to a charitable organization critical of Israeli policies.
This is the first time in history that a government has been found in contempt.

Federal Conservatives on the defensive.

It's only the middle of the week and the Conservatives are getting slammed from the left, right and centre.

The speaker ruled that Bev Oda, who changed a document and then lied about it in the house is a very bad Conservative.

Then you have the whole in and out scandal from the 2006 election whereby the Conservative gave money to about 60 ridings and then the ridings gave the money back to the central party. The Prime Minister's chief of staff who at the time was a big wig at the party HQ, along with 2 sitting Senators, and a few other high ranking Conservative could face charges under the elections act.

Next the Speaker ruled that the Conservative must release the full cost of their crime bill, which for some reason the law and order Conservatives seem to think that we as taxpayers don't need to know this information.

Then you have Jason Kenney who's staff member used the Minister's letterhead to send out a request for donations to the party.

Finally today Rahim Jaffer is demanding that the MP's the grilled him last year say they are sorry. Ya right like that's going to happen..

But I'm sure that my local Conservative friends will say that these are not issues at all and the "Loonie Left" would do and say anything to put down Chairman Harper...Well when you have a government that prides itself on being accountable, fiscally responsibile, and being the law and order party, one has to question if the Conservatives are just stupid for allowing all the above to happen, or if it's part of Harper's master plan to force an election?
