I'm sure you all know that for 24 hours wikipedia is blacked out to protest the bills trying to be passed in the US congress ( SOPA and PIPA ). If these bills get passed, it will be as if its the day the music dies because we will have less freedom. All the protest that were possible over the past few years were made possible because we the people have access to knowledge to truth. The truth cannot be covered up or hid. Contact your Representative in congress and tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA.

Here is a quote from Wikipedia:

From http://www.wikipedia.org

"Call your elected officials.
Tell them you are their constituent, and you oppose SOPA and PIPA.

Why?
SOPA and PIPA put the burden on website owners to police user-contributed material and call for the unnecessary blocking of entire sites. Small sites won't have sufficient resources to defend themselves. Big media companies may seek to cut off funding sources for their foreign competitors, even if copyright isn't being infringed. Foreign sites will be blacklisted, which means they won't show up in major search engines. SOPA and PIPA build a framework for future restrictions and suppression.

In a world in which politicians regulate the Internet based on the influence of big money, Wikipedia — and sites like it — cannot survive.

Congress says it's trying to protect the rights of copyright owners, but the "cure" that SOPA and PIPA represent is worse than the disease. SOPA and PIPA are not the answer: they will fatally damage the free and open Internet."

Rep. A tip for continuity and inspiration from your life: Go through old journals, writings, podcast, songs, books that you have written. Get to know yourself from the perspective of who you are now. Ponder on how you have grown and in what area. We all grow but its not usually where we think we've grown.

This is from February 10, 2011. I had re-written some of it to make it read better as to what I was trying to say in that moment:

Why does it need to cost 7000 dollars for a night in the emergency room? Who can pay for that in this or any economy? The insurance company. I wonder if this is free money for Doctors and Technicians who paid too much for college. The cost trickles down and adds more to the cost the consumer pays. Its not based in actual costs but, in the realness of fantasy, within the imagination where anything is possible. I too, will wait for that 10,000 dollar check for a week of cleaning toilets to pay that or any bill. Beam me up Scotty to that cheesy scifi socialist utopia of 1970's TV, where we can forever live in the illusions we create thinking that we're caring for everyone but, in reality we're not.

Clear Mind

Clear Mind by Robert G Parent; The Jedi Poet

In moments where I'm surrounded by darkness, I look to the light of soul and a new path of light opens up to me. To me this means, as your soul is, you will be, as you grow, so is your soul. As within, so without means to me, how you see yourself; you see your world. If you want to change your world, change yourself within - like in Michael Jackson's song "the man in the mirror". And of course how you change your world and yourself, you align more closer to your soul. Everything is connected.

September 14, 2011

September 14, 2011
by Robert G Parent

A day off from work is what I needed at this point. Sometimes work can just be, well, work. I sit here listening to WGIR in the morning, my fan on me, while I type out these words and wonder about those people that need to have two or three jobs. You'd think that their stress level has to be high. That at any point they will crack, get a nervous break down, or ingest addictive substances. Do they see the day as something beautiful? The subtle changes of the seasons pass by us and teach us about life and how it is supposed to flow -- work, play, relaxation, sleep. We as humans need time to think and to ponder on what it is we see going on in life. As we ponder, we create new thoughts, which lead to new directions, which create new opportunities. All of our lives problems have solutions. We just need to slow down, ponder, and see the new direction and walk down a new path.

Sometimes I wonder if people know what life is really about. Where is our spiritual growth? In this country of the United States of America, we have freedom of religion and take our spiritual growth on many different paths but I wonder, when I hear news stories on TV...about the spirituality of Americans. This recession that we've been in for some time shouldn't have lasted as long as it does. People live too much in fear. Everyone is cutting but, in a recession we need to expand business because it is business that brings the money into our lives and into our government. It is true that we need to put government in its proper place and not expand it unless we expand business the same amount or more. It is truly and interesting time. I wonder where we will go from here.

September 11, 2011

September 11, 2011
by Robert G Parent

I'm sitting here at 8 o'clock at night listening to the crickets chirp outside my window. Cars float by barely making a sound going to who knows where.

Ten years ago today a disaster no one has ever seen. Four planes, one aimed at the White House, one aimed at the Pentagon, and two aimed at the World Trade Center's tallest buildings. Four planes controlled by those who don't respect life, including their own.

How are we supposed to morn those lost souls taken from us before their time? Still after hearing audio from that time makes me cry for those lost souls and those they left behind.

What can we do? Do we hate, Love, or Forgive what happened on that day ten years ago? Each person in those buildings had to know at some point they were going to die, to not enjoy the beauty, the magic of this world. I want to know if some of them cried, or yelled at the injustice shaking their hands toward the sky, or did they have a chance to call their loved ones left behind and tell them one more time how much they loved them.

What can cause someone to kill, and even kill in the name of religion or some unseen God? What type of training did they receive as children, being born and growing up into a place full of hate and much ugliness? Is it any wonder these children grow up as they do in a world without love, not respecting themselves or any life. Maybe we should pray for healing for those lost children so the future will not see another disaster as the one that happened on September 11, 2001.

Love is such a powerful energy. It brings people together. It opens up doors for a promising future. It shows people what their true potential can be.

The sadness of that day continues and multiplies in its abundance. I sit here on a quiet night and wonder, when will the cycle be broken. A tear rolls down my cheek; I bow my head in silence; I remember.

Reclaim our Power and become Balanced

Reclaim our Power and become Balanced by Robert G Parent

The governments of the world want you to die. The Carbon Tax is a tax on your breath. In basic science, which I learned in grade school, wonder if they still teach this, tells us we breath out carbon dioxide and breath in oxygen from trees. The last country that taxed the air was Great Britain, who taxed Ireland in the past. Well, we know how that turned out.

In a well balanced society there are some taxes that go to the government to pay for the shared expenses that help make this country run smoothly. But, that is the keyword "balance". With the National Government getting more and more powerful and away from the individual, we have become a nation of tyranny by the sound bite. We need to reclaim more power by the individual states as long as people stay involved in their local policies.

We have to remember what made this country great, the advances we made in manufacturing, the inventions that make life easier, and the Internet that gave us access to knowledge and information which we haven't had in the past. It is this spirit of self discovery that binds us together as a strong community that is able to overcome any challenge, to learn and grow from it. We need to reclaim our power, so we can once again balance our lives, our businesses, and our spirit.

Living is in the journey

Living is in the journey by Robert G Parent

The Summer is almost over. The leaves will change their color. The weather will get colder. The drive-ins where we get burgers, fries, ice cream, and seafood will close, be boarded up and, wait for the new crop of Christmas Trees to come in.

We get so programmed of living a life based on the season that we currently live in, instead of seeing what each season is trying to teach us. Do you spend time in each season just observing the flowers in the meadow, the frog by the pond, the colorful foliage in the park, or the frosty landscape of the mountains?

Why do we go so fast into the next season? We worry about not having a better car, a new home, or a better paying job. No wonder we are a nation, a world under stress. We speed to the end of our lives without enjoying the creamy middle. I believe that it was some wise person who said many, many years ago, maybe even a galaxy far away, that life is in the journey and not the destination. Face it. We are all going toward the same place. What is your hurry?
