Hey gamers,
Lately I've been spending a lot of time playing Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare on my Xbox One. My girlfriend and I have a blast in Garden Ops, the co-op split screen mode. We also take turns playing Team Vanquish and Gardens and Graveyards. When one of us is using the Xbox One controller the other uses our Kindle HD 8.7 to play in Boss Mode. ( Both the controller and the tablet can be used in multiplayer at the same time under one Xbox Live gamertag.) In my series of videos you will see a variety of gameplay commentary videos showing strategies, tips, glitches, walkthroughs and more.

Some hope for Xbox One backwards compatibility.

The debate over whether backwards compatibility in consoles is necessary, has been an old one. I firmly believe it benefits both the customer and the manufacturer. Consumers have a fresh machine to play their beloved titles, they clear up their entertainment center, sell off the older hardware, put the money towards the new console. The manufacturer ends up making more money. Although I'm sure game publishers would rather sell you a new downloadable copy of your favorite older title.

Well this week, we have a bit of good news for Xbox One owners.

"Q. Are there any plans for an emulator for the 360 games?

A. There are. But we aren’t done thinking them through yet unfortunately. It turns out to be hard to emulate the PowerPC stuff on the x86 stuff. So there’s nothing to announce, but I’d love to see it myself too." - Frank Savage, Xbox One Dev Q&A Session.

Rare Skylanders Giants Display Items

In this video I show off some Skylanders Giants displays that Frito-Lay used to sell chips during their 'back to school ' promotion. Serious Skylanders collectors are paying quite a bit for these on eBay, if they are lucky enough to find one listed. I'm happy I found 2 of these cardboard stand-ups and a blow up display.

Releasing 12/11/12, The Walking Dead Collector's Edition although as of posting this is unreleased, it is sure to be a hard to find item over the next few years. eBay sellers are already hiking the price on preorders, sometimes doubling the initial cost of the set. I recently purchased the Master Chief and I believe it is a good looking figure. Personally not as great as some of the previous toys but it does have lots of movable parts. Xbox 360 Indie Game Spotlight : Johnny Carnage, Nyan Cat Adventure and Ovary Overload

Xbox 360 Live Indie game fans make sure to check the following three titles I think you will enjoy to some degree. The first game I will be spotlighting is Johnny Carnage a side scrolling shooter with lots of character, developed by Milkstone Studios.

Next up is Ovary Overload, this game is sure to make adults giggle it a twin-stick egg vs. sperm shooter. Not recommend for younger audiences. Developed by Ralem Productions.

Last up I'd like to spotlight Nyan Cat Adventure, the seizure inducing psychedelic trip of a game.

Developed by Twenty First Street Games.

Do Kontrol Freek Infinity Xbox 360 thumbstick grips actually work ?

I recently purchased the Kontrol Freek "FPS FREEK" Infinity set of snap-on analog stick enhancers. Does this product really help enhance your gameplay? So far I have been testing it on the Call of Duty Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3. From what I can tell they work good for me, but I like to use only one on the left analog stick.

I have read various comments through the community, many people will mix and match the different sets of Kontrol Freeks or only use one on a stick. I like the feel of the thumb grip and the design, I do notice when I am moving forward and crouching down it is not as comfortable as I would like but I believe the rounded "Snipr" model might feel better.

For now I will be keeping it on my left thumbstick and selling my other one to my friend for a few bucks. I'm definitely looking forward to try these with Halo 4. - Avid X

UPDATE:
Halo 4 is out now ! Guess what, I prefer the Kontrol Freek Infinity on my right analog for Halo 4 multiplayer while my left for Black Ops.

So a lot of people over the years have asked me how I came up with my gamer tag "avid x3ro" and my user name Avid X. In this video I break down the evolution of my name. How I tried to keep the "x" for years. It's short and a little humorous. Duke Nukem Forever Jon St. John Autograph

At this years Penny Arcade Expo I managed to play Duke Nukem Forever and get the autograph of Jon St. John the voice actor behind the legendary voice. I managed to snag this video of the person after me getting his autograph.

When I got mine I told him I want to be a voice actor someday and my dream is to do movie trailer voices, he said "Hey, thats my dream too" and then went into doing the clasic "In a world beyond your imagination...".
