CLEVELEYS FESTIVAL 2010 – SUNDAY 4TH JULY

The Cleveleys Seafront partnership, a voluntary organisation, dedicated to the conservation, enhancement and community engagement with Cleveleys Seafront and its fabulous new promenade are delighted to be staging this spectacular event, which is expected to attract thousands of visitors.
There’s a whole variety of attractions and entertainment over the whole day, utilising the facilities of the fabulous Plaza, promenade beach front and the adjoining and revamped Jubilee Gardens.

We would like to invite you to come and see us on Sunday 4th July 2010 at the Jubilee Gardens opposite the fair ground, where we will have a selection of our products on sale, with lots of special offers on the day.

PROMENADE PARADE – this year there will be a “SEA THEMED” parade to kick off the day’s activities. There will be an opening ceremony at 10.30am with the parade commencing at 10.45am.
PLAZA - Entertainment available from 11am until 3.30pm with local school groups, bands, dance groups. Variety that will entertain both young and old!

BEACH FRONT – Demos from beach hockey, model aeroplane, Water-sports and many more.

JUBILEE GARDENS – The event village for the day with various ongoing activities including pony rides, animal petting area, Lancashire Travelwise Cycling Roadshow, and a skate boarding competition at 1pm.

STAGE – As with the Plaza there will be acts and entertainment available during the day.

FUN FAIR – will once again be open.

A GREAT DAY OUT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!!

We are proud to announce our new website. It still has the great prices and efficient service you have come to expect from The Yacht Shop but you can now enjoy the full range of products from Plastimo (with many other brands coming soon) and find what you need much quicker.

We have listened to customer feedback and have made our site much easier to browse with simpler categories, usage data tables and bigger photographs.

If you know what you want, our search facility is just a good as ever but if you are just browsing you can now use the navigation menus to choose from product comparison lists and quickly find the correct product for your particular needs.

All the useful information about ordering, payments, postage etc is now in one place (at the bottom of the page). All our product photos are much larger so you can quickly see that the product is the correct one.

Experienced Sailor 'Takes the Helm' at The Yacht Shop

We are pleased to announce our latest recruit at The Yacht Shop - Howard Weeks. As some of you local customers will be aware, he is a very experienced sailor and big part of Fleetwood Harbour Yacht Club.

In his own words: "My sailing history is :- Started in dinghies in 1990. RYA qualifications L1-4. Participated in the ‘Tall Ships Race’ on Soren Larson in 1994. Gained RYA Coastal Skipper in 1995. Watch Officer on TS Royalist since 1996 although not been on her for some years now. Purchased Beneteau First 30 in 2005. Purchased my present boat, Moody 376, about 3 years ago. I have been a berth holder in Fleetwood Marina since 2005. Was commodore of Fleetwood Harbour Yacht Club from 2007-2010 and am still a committee member."

"I wouldn’t like to say that I know everything about sailing but certainly know more than enough to keep me safe at sea and to be of use in the shop."

Our opening hours are:
Mon Fri: 8.00 - 5.00
Sat: 8.30 - 4.00
Sun: 10.00 - 2.00

Howard will be on hand Friday pm and all weekend to advise and serve you.

Sailing Season - New Opening Hours

Now we are fully into the season we have increased our opening hours to cover Sundays. Our opening hours are now:

Mon Fri: 8.00 - 5.00
Sat: 8.30 - 4.00
Sun: 10.00 - 2.00

Open Day 2010 - the great british weather didn't dampen our spirits!

We held our annual Open Day on 20th March 2010, it was a great day with many old and new customers checking out our new stock and picking up great bargains.

The Weather

The Open Day started at 8.30am to atrocious weather... wall to wall wind and rain! Our first customers came through the door as soon as we opened to grab the early bargains. We had a steady flow of people during the morning with Paint and Maintenance goods being our biggest sellers. Numbers dropped off over lunch and then picked up again in the afternoon after the weather improved a bit.

New Products

We have new clothing ranges from Henri Lloyd and Gill which went down a storm especially at the prices we were offering on the day. Everybody enjoyed the free wine, coffee and nibbles and some of the music choices from our resident 'dj' had some customers dancing and and others plugging their ears! It was great to see some of our regular customers and we thank them for their continued support.

Customer Feedback

We were keen to get feedback from our customers who were encouraged to give us their views and not 'pull any punches'. We are committed to bring our products and service up to being the 'Premier Yacht Chandlery Store in the North West' so we are always looking for customer feedback to improve our service.
