still hanging on gills moving mouth moving but nothing else her belly seems red and swollen waynes coming tommorrw to do a proper scrape if she gets that far I have isolated her in a floating net and she is just floating with the current if anybody could get here today it would be much appreciated the rest of the fish as as per normal at the mo

If we had known we had missed your call which we do not generally do because I try to call back all missed numbers each afternoon you would have had an apology straight away.

As it happens I have not had time to be on the forum at all recently as we have been so busy this was only drawn to my attention early this morning by Paul kindly (thanks Paul) who also kindly posted a reply because as I said to Paul this morning I was on my way out and unlikely to get to it til later today.

I am for the first time all week now sat down in the koi bus on my way down to Huntingdon Racecourse for the East of England Koi Show and then we are attending the North East Koi show next weekend having just finished for the summer break. We are not complaining because it's brilliant but amongst the madness if we did miss your call we are sorry and we hope you have got whatever it was you needed sorted out. If not and you still need us give us a call on the number above.

Hope that's a good enough apology and hope to see you and everyone else at the show in the morning!

I would not pp Paul this will lower the oxygen level and possibly finish her off. I would stick with 1/2 to 1 oz salt per gallon and plenty of air float in the pond to keep the temp stable and see how the fish is tomorrow.

you probabaly used a dechlorinater on your tap water , if you did this next bit probably won't count for much , I know c/t in new water can have a adverse effect on some fish im just wondering if the virkon in fresh tap water as effected the fish , as it is a disinfectant and maybe reacted with the fresh tap water , may just been a bit much for this fish have, just a thought paul , especially if everything was honkydora before hand

The four step kohaku near the top on first picture and the Showa near top on left of the bowl first pic again but hey i know nothing but they catch my eye but may like others if they was in different positions from different angle's lol good look

Im no expert but possibly just stressed I had 1 stressing a month ago when I was doing maintenance on the bakki shower. I did the same scraped and found nothing water perams good so salt bathed it for 10 mins and put back in the tank and left it in covered over in the dark for 24 hours and seemed to pick up, the day after that I returned it to the pond and been fine since touch wood

yes to filters water perams are good and yes its the only fish having problems shes now laid on her side gills still working but only moves on promting

bit of a story but here goes had issues with my skimmer drained the pond put fish in a swimming pool (cheers dave) been in a week trickled in and out skimmer done pond refilled filters changed pond virkoned fish back in pond all OK till this AM one fish lethargic not feeding swimming round like it was pi--ed scraped it nothing put in vat on its own with about an once per gall of salt with 2 air lines very,very slight improvement its not an old fish about 5 upto that point it was doing very well,is it stress,and would anybody PP the main pond as a precaution.

I have had the plant for 4 years and its now grown to 7 ft at its tallest cane.
the bamboo is phyllostachys aureo......aka yellow stemmed bamboo.
these bamboos live for many years.

Its 2 for 200 and tbh they do it fairly they split the bunch into two vats the winner of the grow and show from last year gets two chose which vat is first selected so each take there turn out of picking 1 fish out of that vat. Now the winner of the grow amd show picks first also on the vat of there choice however once everyone has selected there koi on the 2nd vat the winner choses last. So if your 1st on the 1st vat your last on the 2nd, 2nd on the 1st vat 2nd to last on the 2nd vat and so on so even if you get the last pic on the 2nd vat so no one is left with a "crap fish" lets say but even when all the fish was picked they where still lots that I would swap for any of my fish theres no more than 60 fish 30 people in the comp and theres approximately 150 koi to choose from so again still selecting nice koi. They're by conias as well

Personally I like the 4/5 step kohaku in the 1st pic but yeah I went to the same one last year but was my 1st time and I didnt enter and wish I had so already booked this years. Ill be uploading 2 pictures once theyre home really looking forward to it just hoping theyre as good as last years because they where fantastic for the price.

I also like the doitsu showa far left of pic 1 and the goshiki centre of tge pic of pic 2

but again just looking forward to seeing them in the flesh

There will be some fine specimens come out of the spawning if the Sanke from last years I saw in the main pond is anything to go on.

The koi mosaic looks good and the shoal on the side of the pond are they stuck on individually? Also how much if you don't mind me asking was the floor koi mosaic it looks good in the gravel i wouldn't mind putting one in the gravel around my pond

just thought id get a few peoples thoughts on which you would pick, im off to a grow and show next weekend 26th/27th out of these two pictures i have 3 fish in mind but these pictures where taken when they very first arrived so im excited to see what they are like now.
