Awesome Day #17!

2012-02-03T00:00:00.000-06:00

It's that time of year again, my birthday! And Happy Birthday to anyone else who has a birthday today. Actually this wasn't really posted on my birthday, it was on 7th, but because I have a time machine I can post it on today, I mean the 3rd.

Oh and once again the Donate page has been updated.

Also, I really want to know if there is anyone out there is actually reading this, please respond! The comment section takes a ton of different accounts, so please tell me because I feel...

Weekly Video 12/14

2011-12-14T18:00:00.001-06:00

Here's this week's video!

Also, yesterday was the blog's 2nd Birthday! Thank you readers! Views have quadrupled since last year, so we're now at over 2000 views! I again thank all of you readers! You've helped make this happen, even though I've see no activity except for climbing views, but those are always nice too, so thanks.

Also, if you haven't already noticed, there is now a new way (or site) to donate with called CashCrate. It works similar to Rewards1, except with a few more features, like getting points from games, and live contests. All instructions and tips are available in the Donate tab.

See you again soon readers!

And Merry Christmas if I don't post again before then.

Weekly Video 10/17

2011-10-17T20:21:00.000-06:00

Here's this week's video. Ever heard of Rémi Gaillard? No? (or yes, I can't read minds) He's a French dude who goes around and basically ticks people off. It's super funny. Here's one now:

Also, I've posted some more Uncharted 3 plays on my YouTube Channel. You can watch them there or on this separate playlist I made. Anyways, I'll see you later!

First Concert

2011-10-14T23:45:00.000-06:00

Today, I went to my first concert. Probably because I'm the kinda of guy who usually only go to concerts if I like and listen to the artist, and not just have heard them. Anyways, it was a Tobymac concert! It was awesome, but I had some girls behind me screaming (why do people scream at concerts?). Anyways, it's getting late. I'll probably post the weekly video in a day or two (like I said, probably).

Weekly Video 10/09

2011-10-09T13:09:00.000-06:00

Sorry I haven't posted recently, but you know how it's been. School starting again, or was it just laziness? Anyways here's this week's video.Ever seen the Windows 1.0 commercial? I've been trying to install Windows 3.1 on my computer. The download was only 8 MBs and it takes up 7 floppys.

Also I've been playing the Uncharted 3 Subway Experience (even though it's not in Canada) and it has a upload to YouTube feature and I've been posting some cool plays on my channel. Here's one now.

Enjoy! I hope to post more soon. Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Bigger and Better

2011-07-28T21:47:00.000-06:00

Guess what? The ZGC Blog is now 13.5% bigger!! Mostly to fit the new and improved PSN Gadget provided by PS3Trophies.com. Also I made the blog itself bigger so now YouTube videos are 4% bigger on the page! I had to go through every post with a YouTube video and change it. Well, I didn't have to, but its make the blog better. Also, Blogger installed a whole new interface so tell me if you notice any bugs on the site.

Lazy Days

2011-07-28T00:06:00.001-06:00

I suppose it's about time for a post. I was hoping to post something before I went camping 2 and a half weeks ago, but I never did probably because the only weekly video I could think of was some videos about a cheap Chinese knockoffs of the PSP, and I was lazy. They're down there, along with this week's video, but may I warn you, those videos are long, but funny.

I don't why I haven't posted even though I've been back for a week and a half, probably because I was lazy. Here's this week's video, although I watched it a couple months ago, I thought it'd be a good one to post. Ever watched Julian Smith? If you haven't now's the time.

Enjoy!

Summer is Here

2011-07-01T22:36:00.001-06:00

Helllooooo summer! Yep, it officially started for me on Wednesday. Gotta love, no school for 2 whole months, yeah it's pretty pathetic if you think about it, but its better than a couple weeks.

There's probably been some news going around that DTC5 is coming. Yeah, it is, we've got all the footage, but I'm having trouble getting it finished because my computer wasn't made to edit HD video. Every time I try to edit now, it'll crash. So I have no idea when it's gonna be here. Unless I got an insane amount of cash somehow for a new computer, I could probably have it complete in a few days. Sorry.

In other news, the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta is awesome! Quickly grab your free 30 days of PlayStation Plus before Sunday when it's all gone and get the beta. It's awesome!

So I think it's about time for a weekly video, or 2.

Have a great summer!!!

PS3 Data All Gone

2011-06-12T21:35:00.001-06:00

Well, it's official. About a week ago, my brother made an attempt to upgrade the PS3 Hard Drive without backuping any data, and now we've lost everything.

For those who want to know: He wanted to upgrade by plugging the HDD into the computer and transfer everything over to the new Hard Drive. BIG MISTAKE! The HDD would not show up in My Computer, so we went to Disk Management and it asked if we wanted to create a MBR (Master Boot Record) we said yes and we later found out that it had overwrote the system boot up part of the disk. So after we gave up and put the HDD back in the PS3, it asked us to put in a External Drive with the latest firmware and it will reformat the drive. So we bring the HDD over to a friends' and see if he could get it working, after about 5 hours of work, no luck. Although we were able to recover a few files with some extensions I've never heard even heard of before. Here's a picture of what we've recovered:

So we're both basically starting from scratch. On the bright side, we now have a bigger, faster Hard Drive and we upgraded our internet late last month.

PSN Is Up. Did You Know That?

2011-05-15T17:48:00.000-06:00

Yes, the PSN was back up some time last evening for the US, and sometime last night for Canada. So you all woke up this morning with a surprise.

That's all I wanted to say. But hey? Isn't that something worth posting? Don't answer that.

PSN Is Down. You Probably Knew That

2011-05-14T12:10:00.001-06:00

Yep, it's been a few weeks since it's been down, and yes, I knew that a long time ago. A couple weeks ago I was at a trip in Vancouver. Very nice city, but in my opinion, too many Asians, I mean, a church I went to there (which by the way was the most amazing church I've ever seen, even ones on TV don't compare) was over 70% Asians, not that it's a bad thing, but it sure was a big culture shock.

Well, I think it's time for our weekly video. With the PSN is down, and let's hope it isn't too much longer, here's a funny video about it.

So what have you been doing while the PSN is down? Leave a comment.

It's Over One Thousand!!!

2011-03-22T19:18:00.001-06:00

Yes, I am alive. Been forever since I've posted, I have no idea way though, just haven't ever gotten to it, slow internet may have been a factor. Anyways, some big changes might (note the might) be coming to blog later. I've just started a new project earlier today. SpikeMan Season 4. And who knows, he might just get his own blog. I just wanted to get this off my shoulders so could get this post which I've putting off out of my mind. So if this post looks at all rushed, then you may want to know it was.

Sometime last month, the Blog officially hit 1,000 hits, I find that a big milestone. Don't you?

Anyways, lets hopefully get back on track with a weekly video. The Backin Up Song!!!

So yes, this blog is still siting somewhere in my mind, so there's no reason to think its dead like lots of other blogs on Blogger recently. So welcome back!

It's Awesome Day #16!

2011-02-03T00:00:00.015-06:00

Do you know what day it is? It's Awesome Day #16!! A day of celebration. A day of, well, awesomeness. Today is ZGC's birthday, and if it just happens to be your birthday too, then Happy Birthday!!!

Oh and BTW, the blog has almost hit 1000 hits. Yay!

Back to Slow

2011-01-22T22:32:00.001-06:00

Hello everybody. It's been a while. I don't know why I haven't posted, I just never got to it, maybe because I don't know what the weekly video should be, or maybe because my parents downgraded to slow internet. 20x slower is a big switch. *sigh*

On the bright side, I got confirmation that my copy of LittleBigPlanet 2 Collector's Edition should pop in the mail on Monday, and I've been dying to play it. I don't know how well it's gonna go with slow internet; considering when I tried playing a community level today in LBP1 I waited 5 minutes for it to load, only to shut off the PS3 in disappointment. And with exams next week, will I get time in? Anyways, here's the weekly video for tomorrow. The LittleBigPlanet 2 Share Trailer. Because I couldn't find it on YouTube, I got it from PlayStation's Viddler. Hope it suffices.

Oh and BTW, don't forget about Awesome Day #16.

Happy First Post of 2011

2011-01-02T20:15:00.002-06:00

Merry Christmas and 2011 everybody! Thanks for the 820 views!! (347 alone last month) Let's just say Christmas was awesome and it'll suck to go back to school tomorrow.

Here's what I got:

PlayStation Move Bundle
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
Uncharted 2: Game of the Year
$40 PSN cash
and more fun stuff like Pac-Man boxers.

Here's this week's video.

Because I pre-ordered LittleBigPlanet 2 Collector's Edition last week or so, here's a slightly new trailer.

So what did you get for Christmas? Leave a comment, there are many types of accounts you can use to comment.

Weekly Video 12/19

2010-12-20T20:12:00.001-06:00

Weekly Video 12/12

2010-12-13T20:45:00.001-06:00

And here's my gift to you, the weekly video. Over the weekend, Cat in the Hat was on TV, and though it may be a kid's movie, it has those funny moments.

Enjoy!

Happy 1st Birthday Blog!

2010-12-13T20:37:00.001-06:00

Exactly one year ago today, The ZGC Blog was born. It all started out with an idea of making of blog, because a few friends said they might be interested to read it. And out of the blue, it came. A few months ago, I realized, that I actually had readers!! I strode to keep them happy by attempting to post every week. And the view slowly grew. I never thought that a year later, I'd have over 500 views, it's a wonderful feeling. So I'd like to say a BIG thank you all my readers! As a gift, this week's video will be posted shortly.

For any of those interested, here are some stat charts. I think those 500 views were only counted after May though, but still 500 is a lot.

And again, I can't thank you enough readers. You make this blog possible.

The First Gran Turismo 5 Post (Plus My New TV Review)

2010-12-06T21:26:00.000-06:00

Been a while since I've posted something other than the weekly video, so here I am, saying I've finally got a nice new TV and showing off a few GT5 pics.

So yeah, new TV. A beautiful 42 inch Samsung Plasma for $500. I guess you could call this a review, so HERE ME RANT! And if you want to see it on it's website, click here.

First of all, it's looks. Lets just say it looks wonderful in my living room, and fits it perfect. It has a nice glossy black finish with buttons hidden on the front, so you don't have to reach behind it.

Picture. Wow. HD is so nice. It's supposedly a 720p TV, but the native resolution is sadly a bit below 720p, so really thin lines don't always look good, but it will allow you do 1080p but I won't recommend it if its not even made for 720p. The colours look pretty good, but for some reason reds look a bit more pink, maybe I need to do more tweaking. Let's just say it looks significantly better than my old 27 inch CRT.

Sound. Good, better than my CRT that's for sure. Not really much to say here, but it sounds really good.

Features. A lot to mess around with. For example, I can make it when I turn on my PS3 to turn on and change to the right input (aka HDMI-CEC). It will automatically dim depending on the room brightness. It has 2 HDMI ports, 2 Component (1 is used as Composite), audio out, ect. It has a good amount to use.

Final Debate. There are definitely better ones out there, but for it's price I highly recommend it. If you're looking to upgrade to HD, it's a really good choice. I give it a 7.5 / 10. I just love HD.

Now onto the Gran Turismo 5 Pics.

There's just a taste of what I'll probably post of GT5 on the blog. Hope you like it.

And don't forget the Blog's Anniversary in 7 days.

Weekly Video 12/05

2010-12-05T21:41:00.001-06:00

Here's this week's video: Some fun ice sliding videos. 2 to be exact.

Oh and by the way, the blog's 1st Anniversary is next Monday. So we'll see what happens then.

Weekly Video 11/28

2010-11-29T20:24:00.001-06:00

Sorry I'm a day late, but here's this week's video. The Fail Compilation of November 2010. Just to note, YouTube restricted the video to those 18 and older even though I found nothing wrong with it except for constant swearing. You've been warned.

Enjoy your GT5! :)

Weekly Video 11/21

2010-11-21T14:23:00.002-06:00

Sorry I missed last week.. so I'll include 3 videos today.

Since Gran Turismo 5 comes out on Wednesday, here's the Kevin Butler commercial for GT5.

Here's a hilarious Old Spice commercial.

And the last one, the fail compilation of October 2010.

Have a good week.

Weekly Video 11/07

2010-11-07T20:15:00.002-06:00

Here's the video of the week. A math teacher with video skillz.

*sigh* All the lame talk about Black Ops this week at school is gonna suck. Oh well, it's 3 days this week, followed by a 5 day weekend.

Weekly Video 10/31

2010-10-31T15:31:00.002-06:00

Sorry I missed last week's video, so I'll include 2 videos this week.

Since there are a lot dumb Kinect commercials on now, let me show you how much Kinect failed at E3 2009.

And to show how epic the PlayStation Move is, here's a Kevin Butler commerical.

Oh, and have a retarded Halloween.
