I work at this lovely place, and I made them a new website a while back.
Here are some of the illustrations I made close up and a link to the website. (totally responsive! resize that shit.)

Adobe Fireworks ends in shameful chocolate bar

noreply@blogger.com (Thea Mundell) — Thu, 20 Sep 2012 20:41:00 +0000

I have just had a very horrible time, that ended with a 'horray-you-didn't-die!' chocolate bar. I made it though and I think tomorrow will be better now.

Short Tutorial on Fireworks.

Shit I couldn't find on the internet to help me.

-how to save a fireworks working file.

Turns out that it saves as a .fw.png a fireworks png... that a thing now. SO, worry not. this is normal.

-How to make a Rollover

ok, easy peasy.

Start by creating slices. Slice out where you would like to have a rollover. Change it to be transparent and then link it up to wherever it's going to link to.

Head over to the 'States' panel.

Duplicate state one.

Go to state two, the one you just created.

Now place in your rollover image on this state.

Return to state one, and back to the layers panel.

Open up the 'behaviours panel'.

Select your rollover area slice and click the little add icon, then select 'Swap Image', a little panel will pop up.

It'll have a preview and you can just check to make sure its on the right slice and that down under 'show the swapped image from__' 'state 2' is selected in the drop down.

Then click ok and preview that shit! :D

I'm not sure if any of that means anything to anyone, but that was hard stuff for me to figure out, so I thought I'd share.

I'm making a really nice web app right now that basically involves a lot of web forms.

Random Photoshop Texture Exloration

noreply@blogger.com (Thea Mundell) — Mon, 31 Oct 2011 14:40:00 +0000

Hoping that by experimenting with photoshop's many crazy filters and options as well as the massive amount of free textures available I will become more comfortable with adding them to my illustrations.

Also, I hate moving. But now it is done, Lui and I will soon have the loveliest studio! :D so hopefully all this experimentation in texture world will have an opportunity to shine in some lovely illustrated fun times.

sick n' tired-

noreply@blogger.com (Thea Mundell) — Mon, 24 Oct 2011 16:36:00 +0000

-of changing all the time. as is always.. steady change. even when it's good change I wish it would stop for a little bit. so when someone asks me "anything new?" I can say "no, nothing. everything is exactly the same way that it was, calm and quiet."

oooh well... moving. going to miss our little oasis of an apartment. very. much.

Check It Out!

Some Photoshop Texture Experiments

noreply@blogger.com (Thea Mundell) — Fri, 21 Oct 2011 14:28:00 +0000

I was inspired by a lot of tutorials and texture freebies on Design Intruct and decided to mess around a little.

Probably going to have another unexplainable surge of work. It's so soothing, just to draw and paint without direction or purpose, it's like being a kid. Creating because I really want to. It's good to crave it again.

noreply@blogger.com (Thea Mundell) — Mon, 13 Dec 2010 18:47:00 +0000

I am so excited for this new piece!! It makes me feel all Christmas-y and wonderful. Any thoughts on colour, as usual I'm stumped. I was thinking of printing it with just line on nice coloured paper, but that may just be a lazy road to go down.
<3 Super excited to keep you posted on this one.
