I’ve got something pretty big in the works (mega site all-in-one) for this season, but I’m going to need some help. If you want to collaborate with me on a project on a pay per performance (+ optional plug for your site) basis, send me an email. I’m looking for sincere fantasy experts that might be interested as bloggers, podcasters, and/or article writers. The money will be based on PPC advertising.

Also, I need some feedback for those of you who like cheat sheets. Every year I pour about 30-40 raw hours into preparing for my fantasy football drafts. I prepare cheatsheets for myself, but was thinking about selling the results to the general public for a few bucks a pop. For example, for $4 you would get my rankings and projections on the top 50+ (# depends on category) QB, WR, RB, TE, D, K.

Email me, Tweet me, comment on this blog - whatever. I’m just curious if people would be interested in this sort of thing. I think it’s a fair proposition. If you respect my FF opinion, then you would basically pay me $0.10/hour to see my forecasts for the season. The cool thing is I don’t start doing my projections until a week or two from now so they are very up to date.

Stats from last year - won my dyansty league championship. Made playoffs and advanced to semis in big money $250 league.

What did the Chiefs have to gain by throwing $63 million at Matt Cassell? Were they worried he was going to score so many touchdowns this year they wouldn’t be able to afford him in 2010?

Believe it or not, I have nothing against Cassell. I thought he did a great job filling in the for the Pats last year, but there is no way he should have been given this extension with $28m. The Pats have a great offensive system with an awesome 1-2 combo at receiver in Welker and Moss. It would have been hard to suck with those guys even though Cassell was always a backup. He still knew the system.

Why do this? It’s like a high-risk, no reward proposition. If he sucks, then you just lost a ton of money. If he does good, then you’re just getting back what you already gave. It’s like paying $2000 to a guy in debt and somehow he pays you back.

I don’t get it. I don’t get it at all. Now there’s not even a carrot in front of Cassell. Also, imagine if the team absolutely sucks (not hard to imagine) and everybody knows they’re stuck with Cassell for years to come. The Chiefs should have made me a consultant. I would have saved them $63m and years of heartache by slapping whoever thought this was a good idea.

Okay, so we know fantasy football is fun. It’s a good way to keep up with your favourite teams, but it can provide some serious cash advantages. Fantasy football websites are now redirecting their visitors to online bookers and online casinos, where fantasy players can put their knowledge to use. As online casino gambling becomes more and more popular, fantasy football players should consider applying the knowledge they’ve acquired to sports betting.

Although fantasy football stats differ from actual values, they can definitely give you a good idea about how valuable a player is to a team and how a team utilizes them. You not only focus on the individual player but you get an idea of the team’s focus on each member of their team, which is very useful when examining the rosters before placing a bet.

Many bettors are overly concerned with offense. You won’t find too many people bragging about the best defense teams or who has the best “least points allowed” stat. These are some very important numbers to consider when betting and you really only pay attention to them when you’re playing in a fantasy league.

You’re also kept up-to-date on injuries. Fantasy football websites all have regularly updated feeds on players’ health. When you consider a team’s value of an injured player, it will definitely give you an indication of which side you should bet for.

Especially with players like tight-ends and receivers, many players on a football team are not very well-know but add a lot of hidden value to the team. If there is a player who hasn’t received very much publicity, but plays very well with the quarterback, he could make a huge difference in the red zone. This is another thing to consider when looking at the roster before placing your bets. Fantasy football can give you a huge advantage!

Let me tell you something - if you like your live fantasy football drafts (and i do), then you will love FanDraft. FanDraft is a digital fantasy football draft board kit that allows you to conduct your draft on a tv/computer/projection screen.

I gave it a try - I’m always skeptical - but this software really delivers. The graphics and overall presentation were fantastic and the set up was easy as pie. I hate to spend over 5 minutes setting up anything so I was pleased when all I had to do was shove this in the computer and click a few buttons before I was drafting.

This review may sound over the top, but believe me its genuine. I’m not being paid for this. It just really is a top notch product and TheFantasyBlogger is willing to stand behind it 100%. Check out the demo and see for yourself at FanDraft.com.

I’m going to have to look at Matt Forte, MJD, and DeAngelo Williams to see if any of these guys deserve to still the number 1 slot. MJD could very well be the best there is now that Fred Taylor is gone. You’ve got to like how small Jones-Drew is because it makes him less suceptible to injury. He’s also got a nose for the red zone and is great catching passes in the flat.

Forte strikes me as very consistant and the type of back you can count on 100 and 1 from almost every game. DeAngelo Williams exploded in the second half last year. He does have vulture Jonathan Stewart but the Carolina Running game looked so good, I still have to think about him.

I can already mark the Chiefs as a team I won’t have any player from. The Chiefs are a loser franchise because they have everything backwards.

Getting a shaky Matt Cassell after a nice run with the Pats isn’t the answer to anything. Cassell was a nice feel good story, but to acquire him from a super system offense he had been groomed 5 years in and think he’s going to do anything with one of the worst teams around is crazy talk.

The Chiefs have no line and they just lost Tony Gonzalez. Add to that the fact that Cassell probably has less polish than Huard or Croyle and you’ve got an already wasted season.

Larry Johnson is done. Dwayne Bowe is good but all alone. What’s left?

KC should have preserved their line while they had the chance. That is what made them so amazing. It’s no coincidence they had 2 RBs both putting up unreal stats in a 3 season string.

If you pick Matt Cassell, you may as well donate the money so you at least get a tax right off.
