Golf4Her has teamed up with Pukka Headwear for an exciting new contest!

Below you will see a blank hat template. We want you to take this template and create your own custom Golf4Her by Pukka hat. You can design it on the computer or print it out and use crayons, markers, colored pencil, etc. to create your own hat design.

Have designers block? Check out the Pukka website for design ideas. Just remember, this is a totally blank template, the design is 100% up to you.

We will select the top 5 hat designs. Then everyone will be invited to vote on their favorite hat design.

The Prize

The lucky winner of this contest will receive their custom Golf4Her by Pukka hat and a $50 Golf4Her eCard. The runner up will win their custom Golf4Her designed hat.

The winning hat design will also be featured on the Golf4Her website for purchase after the contest. During March, a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of the winning hat will be donated to the Colon Cancer Alliance to support National Colorectal Awareness Month.

The hat must include a Golf4Her and Pukka logos some place on the hat (see template)

The November issue of GottaGoGolf Magazine (online now and free) may have gotten a little carried away with great holiday golf gifts for women. After all, it’s mostly women doing the reading. How are the men going to get the hint and stop buying us clothing gifts?

Happily, my mom has taken the hint and given me some amazing socks, jewelry and other accessories over my grownup years. A certain man in my life practically quivered as he held forth one of my Christmas packages one year, saying “I know I’m not supposed to do this…” It was a soft black cotton shirt perfect for working out, hanging out, maybe even sleeping in, that (he was quick to explain) he had bought in an outlet store at a great price. “I love it,” I told him. “Just remember, you shouldn’t buy me clothes.”

A few months later he stopped at an outlet store that was going out of business and prices had plummeted to a level so nearly invisible that he couldn’t help himself. I believe he bought me four items, one of which I love and wear. One for four is a superb statistic … on chips from 50 yards out.
Fortunately, there are endless gift possibilities for those of us who play golf. Clubs, however, ought to be considered as taboo as clothes — unless the recipient has tried them out and written them on a wish list, complete with grip size and length. But that leaves training gizmos, books, accessories and, oh did we mention, jewelry?

GottaGoGolf features some outerwear and shoes in the holiday Gift Guide, but no shirts, pants, shorts or skorts. A few moms, husbands and sisters might be qualified to shop for the latter. For the rest of you, trust me: jewelry.

Unless you're Rickie Fowler on Sunday or Auburn University Alumni, wearing Orange can be as scary as Halloween. Let's face it, the first thing you ask when you put on something orange is "do I look like a pumpkin?" If you do it wrong, the answer is probably yes. But orange done right can be a fantastic fashion statement.

Orange is a very high energy color. Its creativity juices are extremely intoxicating and sweet tasting. Wearing orange is fun and can make you feel quite playful. Artists love dabbling with orange hues.

Orange screams with sexual energy too, not surprising since orange is associated with the sacral chakra. Because of its highly-charged intensity some people cannot comfortably wear this color. Purple is more than our favorite color, it's the color of Spirit Day.

Millions of Americans wear purple on Spirit Day as a sign of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth and to speak out against bullying.

Spirit Day was started in 2010 by teenager Brittany McMillan as a response to the young people who had taken their own lives. Observed annually on October 20, individuals, schools, organizations, corporations, media professionals and celebrities wear purple, which symbolizes spirit on the rainbow flag.

Getting involved is easy -- participants are asked to simply "go purple" on October 20 as we work to create a world in which LGBT teens are celebrated and accepted for who they are.
