If there is a magic in a bottle, this has got to be it! Wow, is the word that first came up to my mind right after fifteen minutes when I got done putting this cream on.. On my first attempt, this cream poached my heart right from the beginning. It is the NEW Dermalogica Phyto Nature Oxygen Cream and how I feel about you getting on this bandwagon.

I had the honour of being able to attend the launch of this new product into the market, about last week. I have grown to accept and embrace where I am at now with the age range. Technically, the decade I fit right now is something not much talked, raved or even gloated about. This phase feels like another adventure this time, backed up by experiences.

The NEW Dermalogica Phyto Nature Oxygen Cream is said to boost the skin's oxygen absorption, minimizes the look of wrinkles and fine lines. Most importantly, it firms, lifts and plumps my skin. A concern that has got me feeling a touch anxious is the light droopy-ness is now no more.

It is super light-weight, hardly any feel on the skin. One pump of this cream is enough to cover the entire face and neck and it delivers instantly. Wow, I asked my family if there could see a difference in my face and they noticed it too. They have commented that I look more rested, a huge yes for me!

My final verdict; I am giving the NEW Dermalogica Phyto Nature Oxygen Cream a straight five out of five stars! A winner for me and I have tried a fair bit of products out there in the skin care market.

PENHALIGON EMPRESSA FRAGRANCE REVIEW

As I step into my fuss free wholesome era, I am sort of seeking out matching fragrances that resonates my current phase. I am leaning towards scents matching my current phase, pace, a fragrance that will help me tap into my higher self. Fragrances and I, we are new to each other.

While scents and fragrances are common, I find myself seeking out unfamiliar notes. It was only much later last year, a fragrance associate assisted in my understanding of my preferred notes. Overall, I am a musk loving personality and this info was helpful for me to settle for a new fragrance to my new but fast growing fragrance collection.

It was not long after I got my hands on the Penhaligon Empressa fragrance and here's my review.

A new and delicious new fragrance to my collection, an instant love for me has got to be Penhaligon Empressa, wow! Originally, I thought of this scent to be too masculine like an aftershave alcohol kind at the first sniff. A definite impression, it left on me was the length of time. This fragrance still lingers around as long as six to eight hours when worn on strategic pulse points or warm points. A 100ml bottle of this fragrance will last you well over a year as it's quite potent in it's formula hence the price tag.

As I kept the fragrance samples in my pocket, I had noticed this particular scent to dry down to a touch of a light and airy feminine musk. The dry down scent shocked me at first and then I decided to step instore to have a spritz on myself to see if it dries down to the similar scent to the sample.

I am more of a vibe when it comes to scents and fragrances. To the best of my abilities, I would best describe Penhaligon's Empressa on Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada. I don't think I could describe the vibe to anything else. This scent exudes chic, sophistication, power and of a higher feminine being. Each time, I spritzed onto myself; it is a promise being delivered that I am going to present my best self to the world. The scent is empowering.

Since I am new to the fragrance game, I best relate to the fragrance to a vibe more than how it supposedly to be coming across from someone else. This fragrance is a sure personal power kind of super secret weapon. You wear this scent, you will ace the presentation without a doubt!

It's after getting this fragrance, I felt like I have been sleeping on fragrances this whole time! Yes to not having body odour however fragrances are on a whole other level of chic! I do have to warn you that this fragrance is on the heavier end of complex notes and it maybe overwhelming for your senses. It was for me, at first.

However, do try it for yourself instore and form an opinion about it and go make your own purchasing decisions. I tried a fragrance before this and it lasts no more than four hours of wear time, sure it smells good but the longevity.. This takes the top spot!

Cobalt Blue

This shade of electric blue is said to be everywhere for Spring and Summer in 2023. I've been on the green bandwagon for the last two years or so, I don't know it's quite the contrast next to the green that I took a liking too. Easiest way to incorporate this shade is to invest in smart basics, a racer back like this from Aritzia or ribbed tee in cobalt blue under blazers or a knit cardigan would do the trick.

Sheer

This is one trend that I could see myself warming up to perhaps not an overall sheer dress. Not yet for me, an flouncy blouse with sheer arms would work for me. If you're concerned with your body, we could do a strategic sheer placement of choice. Throw on some coverage, wherever needed and sheer out where we are confident in.

Big Bag Big Energy

This is one trend that I for one, am all in! Yes, I do adore big bags for it's basic functionality and how it fulfills my daily needs. This is a no brainer and I already own this beautiful bag in my bag collection and have never looked back. A pricey purchase as it is a full-on leather tote, I could throw it in anything. You name it, I have it all in this mighty large tote!

CLARINS LIP COMFORT OIL REVIEW

You know my love for lip products, today is going to be NO deviation from that. I bring you another lip product review. We are going to discuss about the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil, the variation I own is 02 Raspberry.

Lip oils have been in the market for a while however I dipped my toes into the lip oil bandwagon, late last year. Clarins Lip Comfort Oil were not an easy find, my most preferred shades were usually out of stock. My luck did not favour me when I tried looking around across the Causeway too. I so happened to stumble upon the raspberry tint in the second half of 2022.

The packaging is like the already available liquid lip packaging, cylindrical twist top with a doe foot applicator. The doe foot applicator with lip oils are much bigger and fuzzier, I love the application feel and finish. It was weird in the beginning, this lip oil grew on me.

Did I mention that I got mine from Tangs, this Clarins Lip Comfort Oil retails for SGD 41.00

I enjoy the lip oil as it is super light-weight on the lips, close to nothing. The only time I feel the lip oil is during application, after that I forget that it is on my lips. I work with thin layers simply for the fact I want to keep the lip oil for a longer period of time.

Love the light layer and the finish, it looks almost like a lip gloss like finish as it is essentially an oil. The lip comfort oil comes in a variety of eight colours, the popular tints are Raspberry, Cherry, Pitaya, Strawberry and Plum. I have been eyeing Pitaya for a long while now, no luck yet. I jumped in when I saw Raspberry in stock and have been enjoying using it since.

The only downside to this lip oil is that it moves a lot. Essentially, I mean to say that it transfers almost easily if you're not sipping water or snacking in-between meals. The steep price tag on this lip oil may not be for everyone too however it is alright to treat yourself to a little itty bit of luxury.

It keeps your lips hydrated, gives an appearance of luscious lips. It does need to be re-applied if you're going to pop this into your everyday bag. The lip oil could be an amazing topper for your everyday lip balm.

How I like to wear the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil is by firstly put on a lip balm. Outline the lip line in a neutral lip colour and then top it off with this lip oil. It stays put well under the mask on most days. I enjoy the lip oil feel on the lips.

When I press my lips together, I feel a light and thin cushion in-between. It feels good, I can tell you this hence it is a lip product that I thoroughly enjoy and would love for you to try it out too!

HIT PAN FACE BASE FAVOURITES

As you can tell from today's blog post pictures, these are my well used and favourite face base products. These are well loved by muah for everyday use! The only products that I reach for the most, on the daily. I enjoy using it to achieve that well maintained, healthy diet, radiant looking finish.

These are the base products for everyday highlight, contour and eye looks for most days or infact all year round. If you're new to TheLeiaV Blog, Hi! I am of a medium complexion of yellow and golden undertone.

The battered face palette is well-used and is none other than Dior Backstage Contour Palette in Universal, I love the light brown with a neutral yellow tint under tone! It is very essential for my days when I am more conscious of the big flare on my nostrils.

It gives that subtle contour without being overly visible and it's super light weight and hardly comes off onto my mask. Beautiful face palette, it is one product that has multi-uses for me hence it is a must for me!

In the event, I am out of my blotting papers. This compact powder from Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish in Medium is amazing for touch-ups especially for photography and to blot down the mid-day shine. It is so good, minimizes the appearance of the pores.

This is the only powder that I use to set the face with a big fluffy brush for the under eyes. For the face, I switch to a more dense brush to set the rest of the face where I need more coverage as it does have a touch of colour up. Light to medium coverage, buildable however it is super light-weight.

Such an OG favourite, the NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna. A definite classic, I sure understand the significance why this product is a cult favourite.

This bronzing powder works across many complexions and the almost luminous shimmer, looks amazing on deeper complexions. It has a neutral toned highlight, not too ice-y or yellow like gold. It hits the spot right in the middle.

I prefer sticking to bronzing and highlighting powders specifically, if you have not noticed. Blushes are my not usual go to as the shades I own and try to incorporate somehow end up appearing strange on me when I blush naturally.

I like the multi-use of this bronzing powder; Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Nude Bronze Light as they offer a somewhat healthy complexion with neutral undertone without looking too much and the ease of maintenance. Blushes are for a skilled makeup lover, perhaps I have steered away from blushes for too long now.

The last on my Favourite face base of five products. I can't emphasize enough that Hourglass does the best, skin finish makeup products. It is a no-brainer that the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette too works across many different complexions. Super finely milled and it looks super radiant on me.

It is the kind of finish on the skin that leaves people guessing if you've been hitting the gym, on an all green vegetarian diet, you've been off dairy, no sugar and salt reduced food intake. This is the one product, beautiful finish!

If you've been holding off these products or they have made their way to wishlist, go for it! Make the purchase happen and it'll be well worth the steeper price tags. I have these products since the Circuit Breaker in 2020, they have worked well on me since.

A little bit goes a long way, they store well. Pretty easy to have them thrown into my travel makeup bags and my touch-up essentials. Need I say more?

DAILY FACE BASE FAVOURITES

This is an attempt to check-in with you again, this time to share the products I've reached out for whenever I need to look presentable. These are my holy grail of five products that have done me good and still going well.

There are a variety of undertones that I need for different parts of my face. The concealer only for the inner darker corners of my eyes and the yellow based concealer to brighten up. The neutral toned concealer is to even out the mids and outer corners of the eyes. For the face, the IT CC+ is for the general parameters of the face, less than one pump is required.

Again, less than one pump for the yellow toned foundation for the high plains such as forehead, nose bridge and chin. Read on to find out more!

This Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer in no. 8 is a creamy yellow based concealer super useful to brighten the under eye area. It generally stays put if the under eye is hydrated enough with just a touch of setting powder. Love for it's long wear and the shade is that perfect banana under eye colour to counteract the darker inner corner closer to the tear ducts.

As I was relaying the inner corners definitely is in need of help. For that we have the Sephora Collection Colour Corrector in Peach to my rescue. I factually do not need too much of this corrector fluid, just two dots onto the areas of concern.

Sometimes, I take two more dots on the sides of my nose where I tend to get a touch blushy. Dab dab dab, it blends seamlessly awaiting the foundation ahead. Instant fix and this too is long wearing.

The Dior Backstage Face & Body Flash Perfector Concealer in 3N does the blending for you and it has such a seamless finish to the blend. Such an intriguing concealer, you can build this product upto about light medium and it feels super light-weight on the skin and it wear beautifully when set right!

You could see the finished swatches and what I am explaining about the shades under light, they have varying undertones to them and how I use them strategically on my face to have that natural looking glazed donut look. Trending by the way!

Sides of my face like the cheek area, I tend to lean towards neutral tone bases. For the high plains instead, I look for yellow and just a touch lighter shades to pick up the light and highlight because why not? Everyday, I get up and dress for myself. You should too!

TOP THREE FESTIVE LIP FAVOURITES PLUS A BALM

We are here at an important marker that reminds us that yet another year has just swooped us by. 2022 was quite busy on my end, I hope it kept you on your toes too! Busy sometimes can be a good thing and could be, what we just need to have that added push.

Today is a round up of my most used lippies, hence my Lip Favourites. Three are coloured and all three are my sort of lip colours; a pinky, a terracotta-ish nude and a peachy nude and a bonus add-on; a colourless balm.

The first on my list is my go to lip balm, the Chanel's Rouge Coco Baume I needed some help for my dehydrated corners of my lips once the mask wearing was not mandatory in Singapore. I soon realized that I was not hydrating myself quickly enough and my lips tends to exhibit the lack of it.

I switched back to my neglected liquid lipsticks and topped them off with a glossy top coat however that was not enough. Hence, I would wear this Chanel Rouge Coco Baume on the first three days of the week and then slowly introduce some colour on Thursdays and Fridays. This lip balm surprised me, it gives that coat of instant hydration and is long lasting too. This tube has been with me for about a year now and it's still going strong. Love it!

Moving on to my lip colours of choice for Thursdays and Fridays, this shade would come as a 'no brainer' This is a shade that calls out to me just like the sea calling out to Moana. This is the Rouge Dior Coloured Lip Balm in 200 Terra Bella in Matte finish. It is my that everyday lip colour shade and this is a tinted lip balm too. A smart two-in-one product!

This is the first Dior coloured lip balm featuring a formula enriched with multi-floral complex, concentrated in extracts of peony, pomegranate flower and a few other extracts. It is said to be composed of 95% natural-origin ingredients. This feels super velvet smooth on the lips and the colour is just a hint enough for office wear.

Another Chanel lip product made it to my list, this was a recent summer release. It's the Chanel Rouge Allure in Illusion 206 summer edition for 2022. For adventurous days, I do like to mix this shade up only in the middle for a touch of spotlight. It almost has a luminous finish and works well with the brick brown shade discussed earlier.

It washes me out on it's own though hence my preference to mixing it in with another lip shade or with an intense dark brown lip liner and then thoroughly blending it in. Keep reading to follow more about my last lip product of choice!

This shade from Hermes is another fantastic shade and finish, beautiful on the lips. The feel is super luxurious and it feels extra special each time, I take it out for touch-ups. I have the shade in Rose Ombre, from the limited edition during it's official makeup launch in Singapore.

Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay Review

It's about time and we are way done, half-way with 2022. Now, it's my cue to take things a little slower and take a deep breath and concentrate onto the closing of 2022. My skin has taken a different route since the last two years, I've had challenges attempting to figure out what it actually needs.

I usually have oily skin and even now, the oils have taken a back seat while texture on my skin is more noticeable now. Perfect time to pick up a clay mask with re-texturizing properties hence today's post is about Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay

I got the Origins Original Skin Retexturing Mask with Rose Clay big tube of 75ml and this retails for SGD 39.00 at Sephora

This clay mask is definitely not for skin types or for personal preferences for traditional clay masks that dries down to a dry down finish. What is very important is that we thoroughly wet the dried mask well before attempting to lightly buff away the mask away.

Another way to make this mask work is to apply the mask perhaps not more than once a week and use super sparingly with a light layer with a mask brush (the silicone brush type) The heavier it goes down, the longer I have noticed my time over the sink. This is the only setback, in my opinion.

Once a week is the right amount of masking for me with this Origins Retexturizing Mask. The tube I like in particular is that it's travel friendly and I can be assured that there will not nasty spills or breaks unlike other products packaged in glass jars. Hence, this is a sure win for me.

It only needs ten minutes or under for it to fully take effect and dry down and I don't need to reach out for it again, till next mid week. I guess for combination skin and dry skin types could get away with using this mask however not for long as ten minutes. Five minutes or under should still work it's magic on your skin. I like to focus on the space between the eyebrows, the tip of the nose and the chin.

Another method that I have tried and have worked particularly in my favour is that I step into the shower after I had the Origins Original Skin Retexturing Mask with Rose Clay on after ten minutes. I get the shower routine down and the last step is to get the mask off while the steam from the warm shower has loosened the mask, rinsing it off gets a lot easier.

You could try this method out too and see if this works out for you. The results speaks for itself hence this review, noticeably softer smoother skin and helps to clear out bumpy texture. If you're looking to improve texture, this mask is the one for you.

I believe that there is another small squeeze like tube in the Origins mask range, give it a go and see if you like it like I do!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS SETTING POWDER REVIEW

It is indeed another product review and it is none other than from the legendary makeup artiste Charlotte Tilbury and today's the low down is on the Airbrush Flawless Setting Powder. My long long quest for a powder to set my makeup in place has finally found it's oily skin compatible pairing.

If you're someone like me who often has the tendency to shine after a few hours of freshly applied makeup, this may be your new found favourite and could possibly make it into your ride or die category of holy grail of makeup products.

It does come with an extra pricey tag however it is worth as it lasts for a very long time. I use it sparingly around the corners of my nose and chin where my makeup tends to slide a little faster now that we are behind masks. Whenever I have on the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Powder, I have noticed lesser transfer onto my masks too. I love that it stays put where I need it to be still.

It keeps my concealer from fading and intact with a small amount of powder under the eyes. It could look cakey if/when applied too much and product build-up doesn't do anything for us. Hence, a little itty bit of this setting powder is more than enough.

I have tried re-touching my makeup while my skin still looks glowy from the afternoon lunch time hour and it did not skip during application. It kept the compact powder in it's original condition. At times, makeup brush tends to pick up some bits of oil from my skin's surface and transfer it onto the compact powder. This sometimes results in the weird film that starts and picking up product tends to get a little complicated. It's an oily skin type problem.

Not with this setting powder, it's a must for makeup lovers and users. You will not regret this purchase and I can assure you of this. There are however limited shades of just five, available at Sephora and my shade is in medium (a little lighter than my natural complexion)

Hourglass Cosmetics Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm review

If you've been on a quest for juicy, plump like, glossy lip then today's product review has your interest. I definitely, am enjoying the mask free photo moments, it's been a while. Hasn't it?

I am talking about the glossy finish that does not feel like gloopy glue on the lips. The gloss that travels all over the place beyond the lip line. It's about the all new HourGlass Cosmetics Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm in Mist. It has me onboard, I can see why it's an instant Hit! The light sheer hint of colour in the gloss is what does the trick for me.

A light layer of lip balm after my makeup, I lightly outline my lips in a nude colour in a darker hue and I fill the rest of my inner lips with this glossy balm. It looks fabulous, it looks luscious and plump and looks super pretty in pictures.

Formula wise, I feel it's quite standard with the rest that are available however the range of colours offered is my exciting factor. You can really play along with the eight shades offered to your mood, to your vibe from HourGlass Cosmetics Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm. It's that blast from the 90's feel for me. Right after the matte lip phase, came this 'my lips but better gloss' kind of finish. I am loving it! This glossy balm retails for SGD 56.00, comes in eight variations.

What is it even better is the overall aesthetic feel for this glossy balm, the gold reflective twist-up pen (holds 10.7gms of product) You already know that I am a sucker for all things, Bond Girl vibe like! No different for this lip product, love how it looks when held in my hands.

It dispenses just like a lipstick hence I don't need a mirror when I am touching up after meals. I chose the shade Mist (a sheer translucent mix of pink and peach) My kind of lip colour, exactly. There was another shade that I initially wanted to pick up too, it's called Slip (a lighter warmer brown hue)

I quite like to have my makeup stash have multi-uses to them, I just guessed this glossy lip balm could possibly double up as a blush or a highlighter too if I ever feel like. This glossy balm is by far the lightest on the lips as it's super thin.

It immediately has the tingling sensation on the lips and it is fun to re-collect some school memories when I first stumble upon makeup. The cool tingling sensation as I have mentioned is helpful when combatting with after lunch energy slump. How else could I better describe it as; just like a mouth refresher.

The only downside to it is that since it's formula feels super light on the lips and thin, it doesn't last as long as an overnight lip mask/balm. It performs very much like a gloss, it does transfer a little too often.

I would suggest teaming the glossy balm with a heavier textured lip liner like Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner in Iconic Nude, it should keep the glossy balm longer on the lips. This is how I wear the shade in Mist

SHISEIDO THE PERFECT PROTECTOR SPF 50+ PA+++ REVIEW

Today, it's another product review and since we are going to get a lot more sun shining on our faces. I guess it was time to share with you a SPF that I am gushing over, a new for me and maybe for one of you too! It's the Shiseido The Perfect Protector SPF 50+ PA+++

By far the best, in my sun protection game plan. It has the most thinnest viscosity ever, it layers like a dream on top of my skincare. It doesn't pill, it does not do the ghostly white cast on me. I have had days where I just had this product alone on my bare skin (on my sick days, just recently) Wow, it layered light and thin on my face.

You could really go for the actual amount of sun protection needed for our face alone (the three finger strips worth of SPF) and it smooths out well on the skin without looking like too much. I've tried on it's own because coupled with a headache, sore throat and runny nose. I just could not bother with my full-on morning skincare routine. This SPF ind

eed wow-ed me. I now get why this product is always 'out of stock' on Sephora's site.

It comes in one size only holding 50ml of it's high protection, it retails for S$ 65.00 Now, the interesting part is that the formulation includes an unique combination of WetForce x HeatForce and it's said to be very water resistant. Where has this product been all my adult life?

It's a clear winner in my anti-aging skincare arsenal. The price point is sure is justifi-able as small as it may seem.. The small bottle of 50ml goes a very long way even when you go on outdoors offering maximum sun protection mode (the three fingers strip worth of product) It lasts well over a minimum of forty days depending on your areas of application. A huge yes, for me!

If you feel you have way too much protection on your face, simply spread onto your ears, your back of the neck, décolleté and the tops of your arms. The highest points that the sun reaches first, thank me later!

CHANEL LES 4 OMBRES Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow IN IMAGINAIRE

This eye shadow palette is of such high quality in terms of formulation and finely milled! Now, do not let that scare you into not trying it out. Today, I am discussing the Chanel's Summer 2022 launch of their Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in Imaginaire.

The palette retails for SGD 100 however for the number of times that I have already used. ROUGE Hermès SATIN LIPSTICK IN ROSE OMBRE

Masks may slowly be lowered in the coming month of April hence this blog post maybe well-fitting for lipstick junkies like myself! I still do wear lipsticks behind masks for myself, it just does something for my confidence. Do you get my vibe?

Right, the product in review for today's blog post is a new addition to my vanity; Rouge Hermès Satin Lipstick (Limited Edition) in Rose Ombre. Hermès Beauty was launched in Singapore, late last year and things have definitely slowed down since then on a personal note.

To validate my existence, I needed a small treat for myself and got me a satin lipstick. Well, that's because matte lippies and masks do not do anything in terms of hydration and suppleness. I've come around to the idea of a touch of product transferring onto the mask. Since 2020, strategic placement of products behind masks were a new direction for me.

I got my Rouge Hermès (Limited Edition) Satin Lipstick in Rose Ombre from Takashimaya Department Store. It took me just three swatches of my kind of lip colour to have me pick this beautiful rosy shade. I originally wanted to bring home a crowd favourite, Rouge Hermes Shiny Lipstick (Limited Edition) in Beige d'Eau however was swiftly re-directed to this new favourite.

This lipstick comes from the second limited edition collection of Rouge Hermès, refills from the limited collections shades are not available however it could be re-filled with other colours offered from Rouge Hermès. These lipsticks are priced at SGD 111.00 per bullet.

It truly was the clever colour blocking pattern on the bullet that drew me to this luxury brand expanding it's fan base to younger consumers.

The bullet is just absolute dream to stare at! I love the iconic orange box sliding open to reveal the lipstick in a canvas pouch. The golden emblem, oh my! It is so beautiful to look at (squealing in excitement) it makes me feel like royalty. No other lipstick has given me this feel!

Bond Girl vibes? Yes, many lipsticks have offered me that fierce feline feel however this tops it all and is straight up at my number one. Rouge Hermès (Limited Edition) Satin Lipstick in Rose Ombre satin feels beautiful and it is a thicker satin finish feel on my lips, that sits a little while longer before any transfer is noticeable. It wears about five hours of wear time before I start snacking on something heavier other than water.

It has a touch more ruby berry than most pink based mauves shades that I own! The differences in shades in my collection, only I would know. Trust me, it took a while to unintentionally build a collection of easily sixty lipsticks.

TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONCEALER REVIEW

The most infamous concealer that won the hearts of so many concealer loving beauty junkies. It is none other than Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealers in original formulation and the new and improved Ultra Creamy variant. Get ready, we are going to dive deep into reviewing this concealer.

First up, I will say it yet again that I am of a medium complexion with golden undertones. My needs for my concealer to brighten and liven up my underye shadows, camouflage the discoloration from broken capillaries and to even out my undereye area to the rest of my facial plain.

I also must have a full-on coverage whenever I am in need to pin point pesky post acne-scars, especially during that special time of the month. My expectations are specific and of course, the wear has to last throughout the course of day. There is not enough time for a makeup refresh amidst a long day facing the computer at home, for now.

It also gave me the span of a day's worth of wear test time on the concealer. The two shades that were kindly sent to me were Medium Tan Sand and Tan. As you can see from my hand, the swatches look very different, one a very neutral close match while the other has a peachy undertone and a slightly lighter shade.

I have had fun working with the Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy version as I have noticed that my under eye area experiencing a little bit of a draught. Maybe, it is time to watch closely on the quality of my sleep. I need to be more disciplined with getting enough sleep.

I don't see a huge inconvenience with this concealer as I have gotten into the habit of wiping down all of my makeup products at the end of my beauty routine. I have heard of the mess, it could potentially get your vanity counter into.

For the original Tarte Shape Tape formulation, I enjoy using it for the rest of the facial plains for it's matte finish, great at covering post acne scars and great longer wear time. It stays put well when blended properly and set quickly after. There are days that I rush before my morning zoom with just concealer for my face.

It blends with ease, long staying power and when blended properly; it is on most days crease-free. Do not let the big applicator tip scare you as just a little dab dab goes a long way and I could safely say that it could easily last you a minimum of three months with daily use.

I could make out the big difference when I do take a slower approach to my makeup routine.

I need to get back to the habit of priming, foundation, concealer and powder soon. Yikes, I love the new and updated Ultra Creamy variant for it's forgiving movement while offering camouflage for my under eyes.

The Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer is available online and instores at Sephora and I believe it has a good shade range of up to almost thirty shades. The concealers are priced at SGD 42.00 for 10ml, perhaps score a discount. Keep a look out for it!

MILANO COOKIE RECIPE

Impress your loved ones, this season of hearts with a melt in your mouth wafer like cookie. I was especially drawn to two packs of Pepperidge Milano Cookies. I could not help myself but yearn to have them more.

I mostly bake out of convenience as I don't have to step out of my kitchen. This milano cookies got me wondering if I could be at all successful if I try to whip them out by myself. It took about three attempts before I finally was able to pipe the mixture down onto baking paper without it flooding my baking tray. This I don't share it anywhere else but here.

This mixture could easily make about 50 milano cookies at a time. Do bear in mind that serving size will only yield 25 cookies as these lovely cookies will be sandwiched with a chocolate filling in the middle.

The one thing that I had been doing wrongly was not using an electric beater, I usually stick to my spatula and whisk with my hands. The butter will be a bright yellow at room temperature, this butter must be continuously be beaten for at leave five minutes. What you'd get at the end of the long five minutes of beat, is a pale and fluffy butter. Now, we add the sugar and the rest of the powders and wet ingredients.

It makes such a perfect afternoon snack for matinee movie dates with the family alongside with tea. Here's the recipe, I have shared below for you to try it out.

Milano Cookies

Ingredients;

115 gms unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
100 gms snow sugar powder
1 tsp vanilla extract OR vanilla essence
1 egg at room temperature
150 gms of plain flour
A pinch of salt

Chocolate Filling;

150 gms Dark Chocolate Chips or Block
35 gms of unsalted butter

Method:

Keep all the ingredients out at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 160 Deg Cel, fan forced setting.
Using an electric beater, beat the butter for at least five minutes until light and fluffy (this is key)
Then add the sugar, vanilla essence, egg until well combined.
Then using a spatula, sift in the flour and salt and slowly fold it on.
Just until it's combined, scoop the mixture into a piping bag with a large round piping tip.
Pipe out strips of five centimeters of dough onto the baking sheets. lined with parchment paper. Leave it to chill in the freezer for at least five minutes.
Bake it for about twelve minutes, swap the trays at mid-time for an even bake on the cookies.
Transfer onto a cooling rack while we melt the chocolate and butter over a double boiler method. Sandwich the melted chocolate mixture and enjoy.

You could get really creative with these, you could try sandwich these cookies with Biscoff spread, Mint Chocolate, strawberry jam and even Nutella! Children could join in to have their hands on experience while putting the sandwich cookies together.

Pixi Beauty's +C Vit Priming Oil is a must try for beneath the makeup. Don't let the word oil scare you a bit, like for real. This is an unique blend of oils infused with Vitamin C. A tri-phase oil that nourishes, energizes and balance for a radiant glow.

Love how it keeps my cheeks hydrated while balancing out my slightly oily T-zone, it is so super light-weight and I can't stop reaching out for this. I typically use about three to four drops, one on the forehead and for the lower chin and area while the two other drops for the two sides of my face.

I would definitely suggest that you try this tri-phase oil out, this facial oil comes with a reasonable price tag compared to the rest in the market. The viscosity of this oil is super thin and not at all goopey, if that's your concern.

For busy days on the go when taming the crazy frizzy hair ends, this oil has been a saver. The light-weight oil also triples up as a cuticle oil when I am long overdue for my manicure appointments.

I feel like I could go on about my love for the Pixi Beauty +C Vit Priming Oil, it helps to tame the dry itch on the elbows and knees. An instant hydration for my dry ankles when air-conditioning dries my skin out.

I hope the new year 2022 brings you everything you dreamt and hold accountable moments that you can be proud of. I truly do hope your dream year ahead of you filled with more happiness than the last!

It's a wrap and what a year 2021 has been! The last week was specially reserved for winding down, catching my breath and slowly re-charging for a fresh new start.

This beautiful maxi anarkali kurti was supposed to reach me on time for Deepavali however with all of the delay with CoVid, it slowly made it's way to me long past October.

Since it's the last week of the year, I decided to have the dress ironed and be seen out with this. A day planned to be well spent at the National Museum of Singapore. I love the vibrancy and the contrast and complimentary cool colours side by side.

Ethnic jewellery has my heart, there is something super special about it. It never failed to make me feel complete and be proud of my ethnicity. It's been raining since Christmas and flats were the easiest option, I was not in the mood to fluff about traditional juttis. Should they get wet in the rain, my heart would ache at the sight of it.

The kids special at the carnival was quite fun for families, my favourite however is the rainforest where I simply park myself at just gaze at the light show. We enjoyed our afternoon tea at the cafe inside the museum itself before the evening showers.

I brought out Coach pebbled Leather Hobo bag, it's my kind of roomy tote bag that easily held my hand held umbrella along with the rest of my casual day out essentials. It was a tiring year of all sorts, second year in a row without travel plans.

More service disruptions during the first half of the year, the second half was actually not that bad. Two vaccinations and one booster coupled with two weeks of dull movement. Restrictions lessened and gatherings got bigger.

TOP THREE CROISSANTS IN SINGAPORE BLOGMAS 2021

I seek buttery goodness and great flakey textures in my breakfast croissants. This is exactly the reason for my blog post for today, I am going to share with you my top three croissants easily accessible to you.

My first and often pit stops on a Friday morning is Paul Bakery for coffee and croissant. Aah, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the warm croissant that melts in my mouth as I look across Orchard road being still in the early morning hours.

I usually spend my early morning hours there before I get to Kinokuniya one floor above. I enjoy thoroughly almost most of their breakfast offerings. I prefer sticking to Cafe Latte and my choice of pastry by default is their butter croissant priced at SGD 3.50 per piece. The perfect accompaniment.

It taste fresh and in my opinion, minimal when it comes to additives and added flavouring. Love it when I am headed to Orchard, you can be sure that I will return with a bag of croissants for tea.

I happened to chance upon So France Duo while looking for directions. It's conveniently placed just outside of Bugis MRT and the offerings here too are just hard to miss! They have a bistro, an online store and a grocery store. Almost all things France could be found here.

I caught sight of a lovely variety of wine selection, cheeses and frozen meat and readily made pizza crusts too! Their croissants are lovely as well and reasonably priced at SGD 2.90 slightly smaller in size as compared to the first. The overall taste and texture coupled with how the croissant flakes fares reasonably well in my books to be voted as my second place.

The boulangerie offers a delightful variety of pastries to choose from for your morning drink, chocolate croissants, brownies and more. If you happen to be at Bugis, you have to check this place out at Duo Galleria!

Last and not the least, are our Starbucks croissants! If the former two are not near you, do not fret. I am sure that we have a nearby Starbucks near us and for the days that you absolutely just need to have croissants. You can count on Starbucks!

Their buttery croissants too are conveniently priced at SGD 3.90 per piece and just like the two mentioned before. Starbucks croissants too offer a flakey, full bodied croissant experience for the senses. These taste even better with their limited edition holidays drinks too!

A TRIP TO BELO CAFE BLOGMAS 2021

It is one of those days, I needed to get out and put myself as my top priority. My monthly self care routine is to be out and not to have to worry about what needs to get done for the rest of your family. Today, is a day without plans and no to-do list and just simply be.

I make space for a special someone who feels the same way and I guess, you could call it a date too! Belo Cafe is conveniently located along Upper Thomson Road along the same lane as Columbus Coffee. After passing this stretch, a couple of times. I decided to get in and see what was offered.

I ordered the Wake & Bacon, retails for SGD 16.00 because I prefer starting my mornings with an egg. I need the protein to help me fuel and be on the go, for the rest of the day. It got to my seat with such an aesthetic sight that I had to click a picture. How pretty are the little delicate flowers resting on the sour cream drizzle, so dreamy!

The other plate has the Chicken & Waffle for SGD 18.00 I ordered the house special Hazelnut Latte retails for SGD 6.00 as recommended and Yes! It did lived up to my expectations, it was tasty, smooth yet robust and satisfying. It's a thing I have for words when it comes to food, if you've noticed.

The couple of times that I've passed, I've noticed families with children enjoying pizza and ice-creams. I hear that their pizza are good and I would reckon it'll be good for families with kids, plus there are few educational centres around this place. You may want to take note of.

A place, I would definitely go back to when I have a later waking up time and Belo Cafe opens for business after 11am. Check this place when you can, let me know!

TEVIANT COSMETICS REVIEW

Teviant Cosmetics is now available in Singapore too, originating from the Philippines. Teviant Cosmetics is a brand founded by Celebrity Makeup Artist Albert Kurniawan and he hails from the Philippines.

It's a new discovery for me and I am glad that their PR Team had kindly extended out an opportunity to review their lovely products out.

I really like the rose gold packaging, an instant luxurious feel. You would want to have the lipsticks and highlighter palette around with you in your makeup bag. It's a conversation starter, for sure! I love how the lipstick bullets have cuts around them to resemble diamonds.

The eyelash curler works well to curl my lashes before the mascara application. The Mon Cheri Mascara is a fibre mascara that coats the lashes with teeny tiny fibres to give the illusion of sometimes fuller and longer looking lashes.

I usually toss my mascara out once a month and it's been a while since I last ventured on a fibre mascara, it is alright and it does delivery length. I do need to be extra diligent with my makeup removal for my eye makeup when wearing this product.

The liquid eyeliner in Virago (black) is a good starter product for eyeliner newbies. It does deliver one stroke opacity if you're used to eyeliner formulations. It tends to skip on applications during some occasions and it wears off easily since my inner eyes get a lil teary.

I do feel like it starts wearing off around the three to four hours of wear time, great for on-the-go touch ups.

The highlighting palette is a sure winner for me, I do like the 'glow from within' and the top shade deliver just that in Glow to Glass Florid. The top most colour has an unique tint almost like the skin but has an iridescent finish and glow. It's gorgeous and I Love it!

For a more obvious highlight action, you would probably gravitate towards the almost sparkly finish. I quite like it too as a browbone and inner corner highlight. It's like you could see it but you can't, that close to undetectable finish.

I also love how it comes with a full size mirror for quick touch ups and to check-in with ma' self!

I have used the Beauty Sanitizer to clean my brush handles and to wipe down the surface of my vanity table! This sanitizer is so handy and a must-haves for Makeup Artistes, love the interesting fruit-y scent on the sanitizer.

It is indeed true on it's claim to be non-tacky, it is sure not!

You know that I have a thing for lipsticks! A very early obsession since young, blame it on Indian movie heroines from the 80's. A beauty product to be factual, the first introduction to Makeup for me; has to be lipsticks.

It has to be the old school glamour on this packaging, the formulation is amazing too! It has an almost powder like finish on both the lipsticks. The shade Libra tends to skip just a tiny bit however the shade is a colour that I have never owned. It's a distinctive hybrid of pink, grey and magenta-y hue.

The other shade Elizabeth is totally, up my alley! It will be embarrassing if I ever let you take a peak at my lipstick collection. You may be surprised to see so many lipsticks of the same colour, only I could tell them apart.

This shade falls into that category, it has neutral brown with a peach and a light touch of orange. Not too much, just the right amount to make wearable on me without making my teeth look yellow. Yes, there is a subtle difference.

Elizabeth goes on a lot more smoother than Libra, I like wearing them both a lot. They can be mixed with so many other neutral lipsticks from my existing collection.

The highlighting palette Glow to Glass, Florid, the two lipsticks Elizabeth and Libra and the eyelash curler are my top picks from Teviant Cosmetics. Let me know if you do get to try them out and how you like them or not.

I placed my order online after my enquiry for the DIOR Beauty Advent Calendar at their ION boutique, it comes with a steep price tag of SGD 720.00

What it entails is a large pretty white sturdy board of chest like compartments with an image of the grandeur 30 Montaigne on it's front. It is sprinkled with shades of dark blue, white and gold foil throughout the advent calendar.

FAVOURITE LIP PRODUCTS FROM DIOR BEAUTY

Today, I bring you three DIOR lip products that I have been using for the bulk of this year. I have been enjoying them thoroughly and so I thought to myself; why not the best of three from one brand? This is just an exception today, ok?

Ever since masking has taken it's course, I have been trying out many lip balms. Lip products offering hydration, supple and soft lips and much needed plumping. This lip balm infused with it's colour shifting magic according to your lip chemistry caught my attention.

I for sure like the sound of this magic infused lip balm, haha! The DIOR Addict Lip Glow Lip Balm retails for SGD 52.00

There are ten shades offered in this Dior Lip Glow Lip Balm range for you to choose from. I chose their pink variant just like the two other DIOR lip products featured in today's special post. Scents on these three products are not obvious neither are they offensive to me, at the very least.

Sensitive skin types, do practice caution for your own good. On my lips, it gives a natural finish with a slight touch of colour enhancement. Nothing dramatic just a soft baby pink look on the lips for myself.

Surprisingly, it offers me enough hydration for my lips and I like the light-weight feel on the lips. Another plus is that I also enjoy whipping this product out of my makeup bag when I am out for a coffee break by myself.

Just a touch of luxury, never hurt anyone. I assure you and this lip glow lip balm makes a perfect Christmas Stocking stuffer or a mini gift. You can thank me later!

Along with the lip glow lip balm, I also had my eyes on this lip maximizer too!

This lip maximizer leaves an unexpected cooling minty feel while plumping the lip contours for that juicy pout. It does leave a tingling sensation on the lips (fyi for sensitive lips) I enjoyed using this for self-portrait shoots as I like how it leaves a touch of light on the lips.

With regular use of this Dior Lip Maximizer plumping gloss, it does surprisingly hydrates the lips. In the beginning I use to wear it only for picture taking as with most gloss, the tendency of it to transfer everywhere got me weary.

It does instantly give an appearance of a plumped appearance on the lips as mentioned before. It is definitely not suited for lips beneath a mask. A lovely pick me up for really annoying hot days with it's light minty scent on the lips.

Another lip product that did not disappoint me and I hear that Makeup Artistes love this DIOR Lip Maximizer product too!

Last but not the least is the DIOR Rouge Dior Forever Liquid Lipstick an ultra pigmented, transfer proof and ultra matte lipstick without drying out your lips. You put your money where it's worth each scent. This liquid lipstick delivers just that.

The comfort of a bare lip is such a refreshing plus point for a liquid lipstick, just be sure you do the necessary prep work. A lip scrub and a good hydrating lip balm before hand when you reach out for this liquid lipstick. Great under masks especially when you're heading to a super sized tiny party.

This range comes in ten different shades for you to choose from; chic, sophistication, cool or classy. It's for you to choose from. This liquid lipstick is listed on Sephora for SGD 56.00

Absolutely adore the light weight feel on the lips and the usual doe foot applicator tip. It does dry down quite fast and stays put for a decent amount of wear time for about four hours. I did notice a slight amount of fading in the inner most rim inside the lips, that could be probably from sipping water and light movement.

There are a total of five shades for you to choose from this DIOR Rouge Dior Forever range and I believe each tube holds about 5/6ml of liquid lipstick.

The product claims that it contains anti-oxidants, fragrance-free, oil-free, paraben-free and sulphate-free too
