Hi Theo,

Recently, I became curious about gun and ammo pricing from the 1980s. So, I did the only logical thing and put in a purchase request for a DeLorean to go back and check the prices myself. Apparently our Accounting Department has a strict “no time machines” policy (who knew?).

So, instead, I was forced to dig through a dusty stack of old gun magazines, pricing guides, and dealer sales sheets to compare popular firearms and calibers with what they cost today. There were a few surprises, especially when it comes to ammo and how its pricing and availability have changed over the past 40 years.
