The Big Chill in Florida (thank goodness it is warm again)

Thank goodness it is warm again ~ but for a bit it was cold! even for those up North - especially little northerners ~

But for those in LOVE it was (well OK, it was still cold)

Over all this was the coldest windiest session on the beach for years which turned out great and we still had fun because of the amazing Dunlap family - totally wonderful people ~

And with their great suggestion I created some images I love of "The Chapel By The Sea" in Captiva ~

"2 Islands Gallery" in Chadwick Square at South Seas Island Resort serves as a public showcase for many talented local artists including internationally known Clyde Butcher and Allan Maltz.
It is open 11am to 5:30pm seven days a week ~ check for live music and wine tasting and other fun events ~ but especially come to see my fine art images of Sanibel and Captiva. I am placing some of my fine art prints in the gallery for viewing and sale tomorrow and I hope to see you on one of the days that I tend the art in 2 Islands Gallery. What To Do On The Beaches Of Sanibel?

It is very important to make as many funny faces as possible on Sanibel beaches ~ there are far few funny faces to be seen on beaches in general ~

Spinning is a must ~ if you have not spun , preferably in a beautiful frilly dress like this one. then you don't know what your missing ~ this is definitely top on my list of things to do on Sanibel beaches!

And most importantly cherish the time you have with the ones you love ~ each moment is a precious jewel ~ I hope you have many ~

I had lots of fun with the Pantzis castle that hey build on the beach ~ each of us has a castle waiting for us somewhere in the world ~

The perfect wave for them ~ this was the image that I took just before the mirror fell of inside my expensive camera! I had another camera with me but we had gotten plenty of great images ~ they are amazingly photogenic ~

No-See-Ems So Big We Can See Em!

Well the no-see-ems were the worst they have been this year in Sanibel with the amazing Harbison family - they fought them off with incredible vigor! The one with the sunglasses was definitely the ringleader - we reported him to FBA the "Fair Bugging Alliance.

Even with the no-see-ems we were able to get some great images ~

Thank goodness this alligator was friendly!

Although our bird friend Elvira was the only one that turned out clearly in this image ~ I love the composition.

There is lots of great driftwood and many unique beach scene opportunities to image - we had a great time and got a bit wet and sandy!

Sanibel and all the beach passers by were very lucky to see the fun and skilled sand creations by the Dugan family. I was lucky enough to have a sunset portraiture session with them after they had just created these sandy sculptures ~ Art & Nature who could ask for more ~

~ Just catch'n some ray's ~
~ Stay'n in the shade - Whatch out for those Coconuts! ~

~ Whew! after all that work it's time for some nice spagetti! ~

OK My Cheeks Are Hurting!

For some reason I was smiling the whole time I worked on the Bono's images. Sometimes you meet people that just emanate a great feeling and happiness. To illustrate this is how I felt:
I feel so lucky to meet people like the Bono's - We found a great pattern that someone made with shells in the sand ~

I just can't get enough of Jumping!

The Bonaccorsi children searched the shore finding more than shells - taking away family memories held close for their lifetimes.

Perhaps I just caught them on a great day but I meet a lot of families, not many with five children, and not many with five wonderfully co-operative joyful children! Lets all be thankful for great parents that give endlessly and care for beautiful spirits like these in our world.

I must say that even when some pronounce their discomfort they are beautiful...

I can only hope to honestly express my exuberance for life each day like the Williams boys.
