I’ve been blogging since 2001. I originally started on LJ, and worked my way over to self-hosting. I have to say that I love it.
But, with it, you learn a few things. Here are thirteen things I’ve learned

Thirteen Things I’ve Learned About Blogging Even if you’re not a steady blogger, you’ll get a few followers. I’m finding that out with Random Amusements If you mention your politics, you’re bound to lose a few readers. I don’t completely understand that, but I went from 43 readers yesterday before I posted about the free Obama buttons, to about 25 now. Coincidence? I think now, . Putting yourself out there can be harmful in some ways. Because I use my real name, a few “stalkers” have come out of the woodwork. *shrugs* Part of life. Putting yourself out there can also be a good thing. I’ve made some real friends while blogging, including one that’s going to be a bridesmaid at my wedding Some people just will not like what you write, no matter what. It’s a part of life. Some people will just comment to comment. They like to see their name in print, I guess. With blogging comes spammers. The more spammers you get? Usually means the more popular you are. At least that’s how I take it, xD. Certain keywords attract spammers like flies to honey. Sex, pr0n, and the like are big ones, along with celebrity names. Adults tend to not act like adults in certain situations and turn into bratty toddlers if provoked. Then again, that’s true in the real world as well. If you’re in blogging for the money, you won’t make a dime. If you’re in it for the fun of it? You’re more likely to make some easy cash Google is both your friend and your foe. Learn to live with it. A feedreader is your friend! Get one! I personally use FeedReader, a desktop application. it was suggested by Katy awhile ago, and finally was able to get it to work ;) It didn’t like our tower, .

Josh called the realtor. She told him, flat-out, that it wasn’t a great house. It was previously owned by an old lady, the old lady type with lots of cats. These cats sprayed. *gross* Add to it that the basement had a major leak (a third of the foundation had to be replaced), yeah, not a good house for us.

But!! It invigorated Josh into looking for a house. We were thinking we might stay here, until we know for sure that he’s going to be become a regular within a certain time frame, but not really now. We’ll be applying for home loans around winter-time, I think. Our lease is up in May (May 01, 2009), and we want to be gone by then. We’re hoping that we can move out in April, technically, and use that last month to fix anything that needs to be fixed, like painting Madi’s room, replacing the blinds, etc.

Now I don’t feel so ridiculous looking at washer and dryers that conserve energy, looking at dishwashers, or drooling over a 26.6-cubic-feet refrigerator that has a freezer double the size of our current one, . *w00t*

Yeah, so totally not in bed at all

Why? Because for some god-awful reason, I slept 12 hours yesterday, and therefore, no sleepy Sarah. *grumble*

I’m gonna be lovely to be around tomorrow ;)

Some news, though. Josh was looking at houses, just messing around, and found one that might be good for us. Three-bedrooms, three-bath, 1400-square feet, in the Seaman school district, and in Madi’s current elementary school district, for $60K. *w00t* He’s gonna call about it tomorrow, or at least talk to his dad, and see what he thinks. We’ll see how that goes ;)

And did I mention that it’s on 6.1 acres?

• Time to get on that kitchen cleaning. I hate doing dishes. Have I ever said that?
• I also need to work on tags for Sigs ‘n More members. Been kind of *bleh* about doing them lately it seems

• My most hated chore of all, LAUNDRY.

Wednesday, July 23

• I like to clean toilets (yeah I’m weird) but I hate cleaning the rest of the bathroom. Why must I do it all?

Thursday, July 24

• Hmm, paycheck goes through tonight *w00t*
• Time to clean the living areas. That means my mess in the living room and the kids’ messes in the dining room. Fun, right?
• Maybe someone will order something from Sigs ‘n More

Friday, July 25

• We’s in teh moniez!! We’s in teh moniez!! *clears throat* Sorry, Josh’s paycheck is in, and he’s OFF, so that means the completion of Madison’s school supplies, and maybe, I don’t know, some groceries? *lol*
• Maybe I can convince Mr. Man to help me clean our room? At least getting the clothes that need to be donated, taken to Kristen’s, sent to Amber OFF the floor?

Saturday, July 26

• No big things planned for this day. Temps are supposed to be “cool” (upper 80s), so I might take the kids to play at either the elementary school Madi’ll be going to, or the park here Depends, I guess

Sunday, July 27

• No idea if Josh’ll be working. As far as I know, they didn’t schedule anyone last week for Sunday expresses at all o.O Oh well.

Okay, yes, I haven’t done a Weekly Winners post in awhile, but I have good reasons: I’m LAZY Well, not anymore. With the new phone, and with the hints of maybe a new camera for Christmas from Mom and Dad (ironic that they’re the one who’s purchased the two previous ones, ), time to get to work on bettering my camera skills ;)

I’m having a problem with 2 of my blogs. My host checked my settings, and nothing is funky on the server side.
Since only 2 out of five blogs are doing it, it looks like it might be something getting corrupted.
BUT, I have no idea how to check it or test that out.
