First Post in over two years...wow I've been seriously lacking.

Well there are a few new things going on in my life I've moved to Sydney Australia. I don't think I could be any happier here. I've got great friends, a great job, great adventures and a great phone plan to keep me in touch with all the people I love back home!

So stay turned. I'm back in the blogging world.

Cheers,

"Once in his life, every man is entitled
to fall in love with a gorgeous redhead!"

In Poland, if you pass three red-heads you'll win the state lottery

According to Playboy magazine, “Redheads are like other women—only more so.

In Corsica, if you pass one in the street you spit and turn around.

Red hair is seen on the heads of only four percent of people. Most of these exist in the U.K., the Republic of Ireland, and Australia.

In Denmark it is an honour to have a redheaded child.

Redheads are known to have a complicated personality, and are considered a myth.

There has yet to be seen a simple-natured Redheaded female.
Those that I've met so far matched the myth.

Short temper and sexual fieriness are attributed to them.

There is a common perception that redheads could become extinct in 100 years.

The country name of Russia means "land of reds" in honor of a redheaded Viking by the name of Rurik.

“Gingerphobia” is a fear of redheads.

Ruadh gu brath is Gaelic for

“Red heads forever!”

Approximately 1-2% of humans, or about two in 100 people in the world, have red hair.

Food for Healthy Hair

2011-10-26T15:03:00.002+01:00

1. Greens

Try to include plenty of dark green veg in your diet if you are keen to improve the condition of your hair. Things like spinach and broccoli are excellent sources of vitamins A and C and these help to regulate the production of natural oils (aka sebum) which keep your locks looks soft and nourished.

2. Eggs

Eggs are an excellent source of protein, as we probably all know, and protein is vital to keep hair strong and resilient. Interestingly, experts also recommend eggs as a topical conditioning treatment: simply beat a couple of them up and apply to your dry hair. Leave on for around 15 minutes before washing out with your favorite shampoo.

3. Berries

Most berries are a good source of antioxidants. These useful little phytochemicals help to keen your hair healthy and strong and are especially useful when it comes to managing signs of aging in your locks. Dose up on blueberries, pomegranates and (the little miracle workers) goji berries for the best effects.

4. Good Fats

Healthy, well-moisturized hair needs plenty of omega 3 fatty acids to keep it looking lush. Make sure you get your daily fix by eating generous helpings of avocado, wall nuts and oily fish such salmon or tuna. Yum!

5. Poultry

Lean meats such as chicken and turkey are a great source of protein as well. They’re also packed with easily accessible iron that your body can process and use efficiently and effectively to strengthen fragile, damaged hair.

6. Shellfish

Shellfish – like oysters and mussels – are excellent sources of zinc which is an essential ingredient in any diet that aims to support healthy hair. Like dark green veg, seafoods stimulate the production of sebum and help to ward of dandruff and keep your scalp in great condition.

7. Green Tea

Green tea is great in just about all circumstances. It’s packed with antioxidants, which help to regulate hormonal changes that can affect your tresses, and it’s also fantastic for circulation. This means better blood-flow throughout the body, including to your scalp, which will result in hair that is well-nourished and healthy.

8. Sweet Potatoes, Carrots and Squash

Beta carotene is very important in order to promote healthy hair growth, and as a maintenance nutrient. Make sure you get a good dose by stocking up on sweet potatoes, butternut and, of course carrots. Other sources include kale and collard greens.

No matter how many products we load onto our hair, we aren’t going to see really great results unless we takes steps to improve what’s going into our bodies. This list of 8 foods for healthier hair should get your locks looking great; have I left anything important off it?

all that sparkles.

well almost.

The holidays seem to be approaching extremely quickly this year, almost more so than usual.

So my predictions for this year will be bling, and lots of it.

Tis the season to stand out.

Anything bright, fun and sparkly will go during the holidays this year.

NAILS

The New Muppet movie is almost out and OPI has jumped at the chance to have Muppet themed nail polishes. These look perfect for the holidays, especially on those days when you feel drab they'll add the perfect sparkle. I must say that I want every single color!

HAIR COLOR

Time for Blonds to go darker, reds to go more Red, brunettes to become more rich and for you to take a chance with an outrageous color you've always dreamed of!

Pink Hair is my all time dream! It seems to be the perfect time to make that bold choice and just go for it!

With breast cancer awareness month going on this October, what can be better than by showing your support through your hair; and with Indie free spirit like Ellie Goulding leading the way what could go wrong.

Tipped Hair is a fantastic way to have a little fun with color for those who don't want to color their hair all over.

Ahh the color red...I'm a redhead so i guess I play favoritism to anything and everything that is the color red.

I've been every variation of the color and I have to say my favorite time of the year to be a redhead is during the winter. Reason being...with everything looking so dark and gloomy it's so nice to look in the mirror and see this fantastically vibrant shade of red starring back at you.and the compliments don't hurt either.

Blonds, now i went through the phase of wanting to go the blond route and I have to say it matched my personality very well but it just wasn't in the cards for me. If natural is what you are looking for, with winter and holiday seasons approaching blonds should be a little darker than normal. Think of it this way, the sun isn't shinning as bright as it does in the summer which means those 'natural' high-lites shouldn't be as bright. So add a few low-lites and you will look winter ready.

Brunettes should take a lesson from the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate's hair has shine, richness and the most amazing subtle low-lites.

HAIR ACCESSORIES
anything bright, shiny and out of the ordinary is perfect for this winter

So y'all are probably wondering where the hell have I been....

So let me do a little recapping.

January.

I dyed my hair dark brown. I really wanted a change and I have to say this was a BAD one. This hair color ended Last month (Thankfully) I am now back to be a red head with a little blond spunkieness.

February.

With brown hair in tow I did a little shopping and a little thrifting and I totally forgot about the internet.

March.

My health kick came back. I started eating healthier and working out more regularly. Beach season was soon!

April.

I worked out way too much and still forgot about the internet.

May.

I became a red head again and started going back to my old self! It's weird how one's hair color can change you completely.

June.

I became a year older and discovered skype. Now I'm back!

Happy Christmas

NEW YEAR, NEW HAIRDO

2010-12-10T20:41:00.001+00:00

Are you thinking of making a dramatic change like Emma Stone?

Here are a few tips for a successful new image.

1. When going from a darker shade to a light blond do not expect to be as blond as Emma (left) It usually will take at least two visits to your salon be able to obtain the blondest blond.
Please, please, please get it professionally done. box color may look appeasing with it's low price but you will have such better results and receive far more compliments when you get it done by professionals. Box Color is horrible for your hair.

2. Condition. Condition. Condition.
Going blond requires chemicals that can be damaging to your hair but using a deep conditioner will keep your hair healthy. Some great Deep Conditioners recommended by stylist at the Hair Color Salon are Derm Organic Masque, TIGI Serious Conditioner, and Pureology Deep Conditioner NanoWorks.
The Hair Color Salon offers each of the these conditioners for a deep conditioning in salon treatment. But if you live no where near Georgia here are some at home tips:
*Shampoo hair like usual then towel dry hair slightly. (There should be some dampness to your hair)
*Apply Deep conditioner and comb through hair using a wide tooth comb.
*Dampen a towel and throw it in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until it's nice and toasty. be careful the towel may be hot.
*Wrap the towel around your head and find something to do for 30 minutes or more.
* When your ready rinse with cold water and blow dry your hair on the cold setting for your hairdryer.
* Now enjoy your hair.

3. Be prepared for a shock. Going from a darker shade to a dramatically lighter one or vise verse, takes time to adjust. If you're not feeling the look give yourself a few days and see where you find yourself.

Happy Coloring!
