My experience with the Rotater has been amazing …

“My experience with the Rotater has been amazing!!! Stretching the rotator cuff is usually something people need assistance with. Usually done with a qualified sports medicine or fitness professional because of the delicate manner and accurate position the shoulder has to be placed in, its very difficult to achieve an accurate stretch for external or internal rotation for the shoulder joint.

I immediately jumped up at the opportunity to purchase a Rotater. It’s so easy to position the shoulder in any degree while relaxing the scapula and surrounding muscles. As an elite Private Trainer, I have my clients use it often between sets and as part of their recovery program post-workout. The shoulder and rotator cuff muscles are by far one of the most injured by common individuals, not just athletes. It’s crucial to keep these muscles mobile as well as strong for overall shoulder function and strength.

I would recommend this tool be added to anyone looking to reduce the risk of injury and, of course, increase strength and balance in the body. Bench press, pull ups, rows, or anything requiring movement in the shoulder all require accurate movement of the shoulder joint. Preserve your health and maintain your shoulder and over all strength by picking up a Rotater. I use mine daily and have had amazing results and feel more “open” over all.”

In Dec. 2012, Becca Borawski, the managing editor of Breaking Muscle contacted us and expressed their interest in reviewing the Rotater. Since they are one of the most visited fitness sites on the internet, we were thrilled with the opportunity and sent them a Rotater to test.

Last week, they posted their review of the Rotater in this article – Product Review: The Rotater for Shoulder Rehab and Prehab . Here’s an excerpt:

“In conclusion this is an awesome product for stretching, and also for strengthening for rehab. I would not recommend The Rotater for performance strengthening or for very large individuals. The Rotater also has a rock solid money back guarantee with no questions asked, so if you’re on the fence it’s fairly risk free.”

We want to send a special thanks to Jeff Kuhland for putting the Rotater to the test and sharing his experience.

You be the judge … here are some videos to compare the 2 shoulder rehab devices as they are used to increase shoulder external rotation. In the first you’ll see a short demo of the Rotater and in the second you’ll see the GhS …

“Remarkably Similar”

The GhS isn’t a complete surprise to me … let me explain. A little over a year ago, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Don Reagan contacted me via Twitter (or email) about a sales rep who had just left his practice. Don is a fan of the Rotater and fortunately, I had his phone number so I gave him a quick call.

Don relayed to me that a sales rep for Dynasplint had stopped by his facility with a new product that was “remarkably similar” (his words) to the Rotater. Don explained that the prototype was a 90 degree device made of tubular aluminum and adjustable. He also said that he thought the sales rep said the price would be around $99. I don’t know if that’s the wholesale or retail price. Since the GhS isn’t yet listed on the Dynasplint website, I don’t know what the actual price is or will be. I can’t imagine it would be less than $59.97 – the price of the Rotater …. we’ll see.

Please let us know what you think !!

So what do you think … is the GhS a knock-off of the Rotater? Please share your thoughts via a comment below.

Thank YOU !

We’ve been marketing the Rotater since 2007 … just 2 guys with a great idea. It’s our passion and we’ve both worked hard to develop the Rotater brand. Along the way, we’ve met some great physical therapists, athletic trainers, doctors, chiropractors and other “regular” guys like us. We want to thank all of you for helping the Rotater grow to the point where the principles behind the Rotater are now being accepted by the mainstream therapy world.

As they say … Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery !!!

… improving my shoulder health …

“I wanted to take a minute to express how helpful The Rotater was for my shoulders. Years ago I used to bodybuild, and I looked at stretching as a waste of time. I learned the hard way that this was a huge mistake, and my shoulders started paying the price. My range of motion was so poor that it was actually comical. I also developed a handful of shoulder issues due to my poor shoulder mobility.

I decided to give The Rotater a try, hoping to increase flexibility (and strength) in my rotator cuff. After regularly using The Rotater, I’m happy to say that my shoulders are FINALLY starting to feel better! My range of motion is better, I have very little pain where I had it before, and I’m actually getting stronger in my other lifts and my sport. I’m definitely a happy client!

PS. I really appreciate all the great content that you share on your Facebook page, and for answering my questions. Because of you, I’ve learned so much about improving my shoulder health, and for that I’m grateful.”

Thank you!

Maybe it takes a shoulder injury or some unexpected shoulder pain for people to realize there may be a need to get your shoulders warm and ready before you blast em.

There are lots of things you can do to warm up your shoulders before working out:

do these 3 shoulder exercises, twice – seems like a lot of work

3 minutes with Smitty – pretty awesome

several band exercises – most excellent jazz music in the background

or …..

Quick Shoulder Warm Up … Plus Hit the Rest of Your Body, too

This really warms up your shoulders without tiring them …. that’s important. You wouldn’t go into the gym and blast your biceps and then start doing heavy pull up work … would you? So why blast those important rotator cuff muscles before a heavy bench press or shoulder day? Just get em warm and active before you put em to the heavy work.
