Here I Am, This Is Me

2016-02-29T13:54:00.001-08:00

I have noticed that most everyone strives in life to become and be recognized. Deep in thought today, I realized that the striving is great but asking for glory is not.

We have been taught all along that when we do something great, we get an award, a metal, a toy, a sticker, a raise, a promotion, etc. What if we all just strived to be these amazing creatures called humans and didn't ask for anything in return?

What if, indeed. Society is based on this belief that if we don't get recognized then it wasn't worthy. I do it too, so don't think I am casting stones when I am merely trying to understand this right along with all of you. Maybe life isn't meant to get us ahead but get us through.

I have no idea why any of are here but I do know that my goal is to be heaven bound at the end and that's the only reward any of us should need. God has given us the opportunity to be daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, uncles, employees, and so many other beautiful things but most importantly He has asked us to be vessels for hope.

Stop for a minute today and be thankful for the things in your life that are yours. Own those things, quit looking for what is behind the curtain and look for ways to be the best you. No awards, no titles, no glory.

You've been SOCKED!!

2014-11-18T18:32:00.000-08:00

Here you go!! I started this little project called "SOCKED!!" and you fill a smaller (I made mine), attach this cute poem (I redid the one I found to make it cuter & laminated it) and give it to a friend, family, or neighbor anonymously. It's just like the halloween tradition Boo'd but with a Christmas twist. I hope these images work for you so you can create it too! Let me know if it doesn't work. If you'd rather me send it to you via email as a PDF file, email me at kjbrighteyes@yahoo.com. Have FUN!!!

They have a similar version in a 40 piece set on sale from Christmas at the Sam's club here in town. Not sure if it's something you could possibly find in other Sam's. It's $9.71 right now and was a great price at it's original $29.99. Scoop this one up!! I bought one today and they had about 10 or so when I left this afternoon. My kIds LOVE these!!!

Merona Sweaters at Target

2011-12-10T15:44:00.000-08:00

Okay, so I LOVE Target. They always have such great deals!

They have sweaters on sale ($8.99) and it ends today but if you hurry you can get the deal.

They have a coupon on their website for $4 off women's sweater. That would make the sweaters only $4.99!!

I actually bought a couple online as shipping is free when you use your Target Debit card. They are a V-neck and pretty nice for the price. The women's sweaters (1x and up) are priced at $10.99 but it's still a great deal!!

Also, you can print a coupon for $3 off women's sleepwear item. If you go to the clearance section, you just might find something that's free! I did :)

iTunes gift cards

2011-12-10T15:38:00.000-08:00

I think this might work. I'm going to try it soon and I'll let you know. Target has iTunes gift cards on sale but today is the last day. $54 for 4/$15 cards.

The coupon here does not exclude gift cards. If it works then, you'd get a $10 gift card for buying the $54 itunes gift cards. Not sure if the 5% off for using your debit card would work as well.

It should be $54 for $60 worth of cards plus a $10 card. I'll head over there as soon as the hubby gets home and update you!

Cheaper than Normal iPod touch 8gb

2011-12-10T12:28:00.000-08:00

Okay...Who is interested in a cheaper than normal ipod touch??
Me, me, me!!! I have the best deal but it is over today! Hurry up!

Right now Target has the iPod Touch 8gb on sale for $195 and it comes with a $25 Target gift card.

You can print a coupon on Target's website (make sure to use Explorer or Chrome as a browser because some others won't allow you to print) for 10% off an ipod = $19.50 off on top of the other offers!

So, that makes the iPod Touch just $175.50 (and you still have a $25 gift card)

Then, you can print a coupon here to get a coupon for a $10 gift card with a $50 purchase.

Use your Target Debt card or Target credit card for an extra 5% off.

Total price after gift cards and discounts is...$133.47 plus tax!!!
