The recent run from the February lows has been a difficult one to trust, particularly given the lack of upside volume which has accompanied this rally. However, last week we saw the NAZ sprint to a new 52-week high, taking out both the February and January highs in the process.

The S&P 500 and DJIA have yet to follow, so that will garner quite a bit of attention in the days and weeks ahead. Is a bull trap getting established on the NAZ, or will the senior indexes follow?

Here in Episode 120, we’ll examine the NAZ, S&P 500, and DJIA and discuss some important levels to monitor going forward. Hope you find it helpful!

Following an initial bounce from the February lows, the indexes continued their upside movement last week with 4 more days of gains. In the process, some former key levels were reclaimed, which the bulls are quick to point to.

However, trust is an issue for the market at this point, as the rebound has had a major lack of upside volume to help support it from a technical standpoint. That may be setting up a pretty good battle in the days ahead, so we should have our hands full this week.

The indexes finished little-changed last week, but it wasn’t for a lack of movement. A bounce attempt early in the week stalled out as Wednesday and Thursday provided ample downside to erase the gains and then some. Friday’s action was on track for further declines, until a late-day rebound from the lows left the indexes positive on the session. The million-dollar question at this point is whether that points to some short-term exhaustion on the downside, but one thing is for sure…many stocks are deeply oversold.

Here in Episode 118, we’ll examine the NAZ, S&P 500, and DJIA and discuss some important levels to monitor going forward. Hope you find it helpful!

We have a holiday-shortened trading week this week, so we’ll have to make every trade count and stay on our toes, just in case support zones get broken for the first time in a while.

Here in Episode 115, we’ll examine the NAZ, S&P 500, and DJIA and discuss some important levels to monitor going forward. Hope you find it helpful!

Over at TheStockBandit.com, we just capped off 6 consecutive months (July, August, September, October, November, December) of net gains each month in our swing trades (see trade-by-trade results here). That kind of consistency breeds confidence, yes, but a healthy respect for the market is still maintained. If you’re coming off a great year as well, be sure to include that in your trading plan for this year. If you don’t, the market will ensure that you do!

Here in Episode 113, we’ll examine the NAZ, S&P 500, and DJIA and discuss some important levels to monitor going forward. Hope you find it helpful!
