Jeremy Lin committed 9 turnovers in the game, with 8 coming in the first half alone. The Taiwanese- American's stellar play has moved the New York Knicks from the basement into the Trump Tower. ESPN's offensive "Chink in The Armor" headline is getting a slap on the wrist.

God forbid that a website uses the N-word in a headline. If the N-word is used in a headline anywhere on a popular website, especially on a sports site would be fined, and the writer canned. "Chink in The Armor" is possibly the most offensive headline the popular sports ESPN website has produced.

We realize that creating catchy headlines to entertain the sports fans is good SEO to build traffic. Sports writers receive recognition for writing compelling articles on professional sports. This sports website, ESPN, are wrong for publishing this headline. Should an ESPN editor authorize or reject a headline? Are racist headlines the standard practice on the web? Is the writer at fault? Who really knows.

ESPN's "Chink in The Armor" is like writing:

"N-word in The Dreads"

"Slope falls off the Rope"

"Spick takes a Lick"

You catch our drift about ESPN's "Chink in The Armor" headline describing New York Knicks surging point guard Jeremy Lin losing the game with 9 turnovers? For the most part, the headline is attacking Jeremy Lin as a great savior with obvious flaws through using racial slang.

What is your take on ESPN's "Chink in The Armor" headline? What role does the sports writer have in the headline? Should ESPN be given a free pass? Share your comments below.
If you have a Hollywood dream, your journey may possibly end up in a dumpster along the Hollywood strip. Screenwriting is a highly sought after movie career with setbacks. Directing jobs are as scarce as good movies.

Movie studios rarely make optioned screenplays into movies. We can identify the Hollywood dream as the American Horror Story. Do you want to change your fortune to live the Hollywood dream? You may want to consider pursuing a movie tagline writer job to enter the Hollywood movie industry.

How do you become a movie tagline writer? A movie tagline writer works for marketing agencies based out of Hollywood and in the intermediate Los Angeles. Movie tagline writing is a lucrative job opportunity to get your foot in the door. What does it takes to become a movie tagline writer?

Movie tagline writers must possess creative minds, meet deadlines, and be able to write many movie taglines under pressure. Cleaver, creative writing is necessary to explore a movie tagline writing career. Once you become a movie tagline writer, there is a good chance you might reach your ultimate Hollywood dream. Writing movie taglines is a dream in itself.

Movie tagline writers write the catchy phrases that market the movies. Movie marketing is as important as making the movies. Good movies with poor marketing campaigns will fail to reach the moviegoer. On the flip side, bad movies with good marketing make box office dollars.

A good way to break into the movie tagline writing career is to view past movie taglines on IMDb.com or Wikiquote.org. Dissect the movie taglines to understand the foundation of the message. Ask yourself the following questions:

How does the movie tagline communicate the movie?

Is the movie tagline clever?

Obvious?

Does the movie tagline use phrases to hide meanings?

Hold symbolism?

Next, learn how to write movie taglines to gain valuable experience. Write 50-100 movie taglines to get your creative juices flowing. Rewrite past movie taglines to create a personal movie tagline portfolio. Soon enough, you will get into the groove of writing movie taglines that sell.

Watch past movies and read movie screenplays to gain an understanding of the movie plot. What movie tagline will convey the entire plot in once sentence? Can you write movie taglines that are catchy? Will the taglines market the movie? Are the movie taglines mainstream? The movie preview and the movie scripts hold good movie taglines. You can just have to find a good quote, phrase and or tagline that conveys the movie to the mainstream moviegoers.

Read into the script to look for good dialogue. For example, the mortician in the original Final Destination movie speaks, "In death, there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps and no escapes" (Wikiquote.org). Can you use a portion of the dialogue to explain the entire movie plot in one movie tagline? Good movie taglines such as The Sixth Sense's, "I See Dead People." convey the movie theme in one tagline (IMDb). The movie tagline is important movie dialogue.

Search local marketing agencies to land a job as a copywriter. It is important to gain work experience to get noticed. You might to consider searching or even calling the movie studios to locate local marketing firms that deal with movie tagline writing. The movie studios likely pay outside marketing firms to market their movies. However, Disney Studios run their movie marketing in-house. Their creative chief of marketing is responsible for promoting Disney movies.

Movie tagline writing is an excellent Hollywood career. Thus, you can eventually accomplish your screenwriting, directing, editing, and producer job careers. Don't look at the obvious. Never think your Hollywood dream is impossible. Impossible dreams are possible with good instincts. Go write the next movie tagline to build value in your movie star.
