It currently can be found at , but some of the chapters have warnings on them so you'll need to become a member if you aren't already.

I also have a twitter TVND: @TVND_AfE. It'll update with random things on how the novel is going, what I'm currently working on, etc. (As I write this, my computer hates twitter.com, so I'll update with an actual link later, sorry.)

In this blog, feel free to ask questions about anything, and I'll do my best to answer them. I adore my readers and any questions or comments they may have.

Nothing New Here

Just chilling in the dorm room like normal. Meh, nothing too exciting. Same ol', same ol' problems: need money for college, bored as hell sometimes, working on my novel. Ya know, the same old stuff.

Finding that I'm not too entirely thrilled with my English teacher this semester. He doesn't tell us what he wants (like "proof" in our essays, "stories" instead of essays). I'm so done with all of his crap. I really don't want to go to class any more, however, I need to show up and do the work, even if it is crap, so I can pass. Bleh. I'll get over it I suppose. Just a little upset.

My French teacher is a pain in the ass, but I think he finally understands why I'm not always doing so well in his class. Ugh, test anxiety has no "cure", no "quick fix"... I just look at a test and freak out and my mind goes blank. He was willing to try to compromise, I guess you could call it that, by doing the test over the phone, but since I hate talking on the phone, that would probably only make it worse. Ugh, I guess I have to put in more studying time...

The rest of my classes aren't too bad, I suppose. Both are taught by the same teacher, and he's funny, so I like him. I'm pretty sure that I'll pass both of his classes, since they're pretty easy. But I'm not getting my hopes up too soon. The end of the semester is still pretty far away.

Nothing more to say, so I'll end this now. Chat at ya later.

It's been a while

Since I last posted anything on here. I'd forgotten all about it.

So, my best friend has basically decided she wanted to become Wicca, which I have no quarrel with. However, my concern is that she wants to become one just because she read it in some book series, and she thinks it would be cool if she was Wiccan. So I'm just throwing some words out there, although I'm not sure what to say... Meh. Here's and excerpt from a work in progress, The Vampire Next Door:

Josiah grinned wickedly. Reginald growled, angry with his cousin. A blade flashed in each hand, glinting in the fading sunlight.
“Stay away from her, Josiah!” Reginald snapped.
Josiah laughed. “Or what, cousin? You’ll kill me?” Josiah sneered, “You’ve tried that already, Reginald. Not only can you not kill me, you won’t kill me.”
“Bullshit. Touch her again and you’ll see what I can and will do.” Reginald stood in front of me, protecting my feeble human body with his own.
Josiah laughed again, louder this time. “Ha, I would like to see you try, cousin. You couldn’t deal with another exile. Especially not after the exile your parents granted you.”
I frowned. Reginald was exiled? From what and why was he exiled? And why would his own parents exile him? Questions flooded my mind, but I didn’t voice them. If I interrupted, it would only draw unwanted attention to me, which Reginald was trying hard to divert.
Josiah’s black eyes glanced towards me, as if he had heard my thoughts. Reginald tensed and growled again. It was a bit odd hearing Reginald actually growl. It was deep, guttural animal growl. It scared me slightly and added to the long list of questions I had. A smile spread across the other man’s features.
“Let me guess, you haven’t told her, have you? By the confused look on her face, I’ll take that as a no,” Josiah straightened from the slightly defensive crouch he had been in. “Tis a pity, cousin. I’m sure she’d love to know all about us, especially you. There are so many things to tell her, but where to begin?”
“Enough, Josiah. It is not your place.”
Josiah seemed to ponder the thought. “Really, cousin? And whose place is it?” He paused, “If you think it is your place, then, by all means, tell her. Tell her everything, cousin, to include what you truly are.”
“Enough, Josiah! It is not your place!” Reginald roared, angered deeply by his cousin.
“And if it is your place, cousin, then you are well past your time to tell her. In fact, it’s almost past your time and place.” Josiah continued, without remorse as he took a step forward, towards me. “You better decide now, cousin, who you want to tell her. Because if you don’t, I will, and you won’t like my method of telling her.”
Reginald let out a warning growl but Josiah paid it no heed. I watched Josiah’s as he walked towards me, one step at a time. I grabbed the back of Reginald’s jacket, suddenly frightened for my life. Reginald only twitched slightly as I grabbed the material of his jacket, his whole attention on his cousin.
“Reginald, I’m scared.” My voice was a whisper. I was more than scared; I was terrified beyond my imagination. I didn’t understand anything Josiah was saying. I still couldn’t comprehend that Reginald would be exiled and I didn’t understand what he meant by Reginald hadn’t told me something and was keeping secrets from me. He always told me everything. Didn’t he?
“Don’t worry about it just yet. It’ll be okay.” Reginald said, half distracted by Josiah.
Josiah chuckled. “Oh really, cousin? You think so?” The other man paused in both words and steps. “Perhaps it will, cousin, perhaps it will,” His dark eyes flashed towards me again, this time a deep hunger dwelled within their depths as he looked at me. “And perhaps it will be better than okay.” The hunger in his black eyes deepened as his mouth broke out into a wide, ravenous grin. I knew then that today was the day I was going to die.

That's a part from the middle, actually. Meh, it's not too bad...
