Drama At The Waters

6 bodies and counting. The story wouldn't even climb near to the headlines if not for several spooky facts about the location and repetition of what happened. Is it really due to the creepy series of unfortunate events at Bedok Reservoir or is it purely due to an increase in the suicidal rate in Singapore in recent years. Or perhaps, much more to this than we scoop off the surface of the story.

It is true. Suicidal rate in Singapore is increasing through the years. A recent report in 2010 regarding the suicidal rate in 2009 is as follows: "In 2009, a total of 401 confirmed suicides were recorded. 267 of them were male, while the remaining 134 were female.".

"The suicide rate increased from 8.76 per 100,000 residents in 2008 to 9.35 in 2009."

Bedok Reservoir has been one of the most peaceful of places with a great scenic view, from all the years of inhabiting at this location. Friendly neighbors, nice cold breeze in the morning, fresh from all the greenery surrounding this water collection point for residents living near to this reservoir. I could easily recall the few times where things went wrong around this area. Other than common suicides that you can expect from Housing Estates which are practically all random, I only recall that of a rapist (Not sure whether he obtained the rank of Serial Rapist yet) at the Bedok Reservoir Park which is at the town park behind the HDB estates and not the one at the Reservoir itself, or at least to the best of my memories.

There was also one other case earlier this year on 20th June 2011, where the bottom half of a body was found at Bedok Reservoir but yeah, couldn't really remember the whole story but it wasn't anything like a serial killer on the loose or anything of that sort. This is one of the 6 bodies found at Bedok Reservoir. The first of many more to come.

Other than that, I totally do not recall any tragedy that happened near this area other than rumors about a woman who hanged herself at one of the trees higher in the parks surrounding Bedok Reservoir or even the scent of fresh Frangipani upon the sighting of such paranormal activities. It is clean as in literally clean, greenery as though promoting our Botanic Gardens, encouraging the use of the facilities by all ages; whether to be jogging for the youths or appreciating of birds by the old at one of the parts of the Reservoir.

The only thing that changed these few years was the increased usage of Bedok Reservoir as a water body for water sports such as Wakeboarding and Canoeing/Dragon Boating by students of Temasek Polytechnic which is located at one part of the perimeter of the Reservoir. If there were any events involving death or any unfortunate events near this area, it must have been not bad enough to trigger a space in my memory.

On 22nd September 2011, "The bodies of housewife Tan Sze Sze, 32, and her three-year-old son, Jerald Chin, were said to have been found by PUB officers.".

It wasn't an ordinary suicide, an aftermath of a stressing relationship strained over several pressures and heart-wrenching events in a marriage that may lead to such a suicidal attempt. It was a suicide not only aimed at trying to end the misery of a marriage as per all typical suicides be it in reality or in enacted scenes. Both Mdm Tan Sze Sze and Jerald Chin were wearing red tops, the same as what they were wearing when they were last seen alive.

Still, it doesn't seem worthily alarming or grabbing the attention of the media until you know that the two individuals died in red, had all the finger nails painted red and reportedly, their hands tied together by a red string. It was also reported that when the bodies were found, Mdm Tan Sze Sze was hugging onto Jerald Chin. Red is often the main color you would see being used in a chinese horror film because it symbolizes both happiness in a relationship as well as one that is revengeful when related to suicides. It was obviously a suicidal attempt to be back as a vengeful spirit to get the people involved, involved.

I wouldn't be going into the details of the case but to sum it up in a succinct manner, the couple was having problems with their marriage which eventually led to divorce and a fight for the custody of their son, Jerald Chin.

What followed after this event were 4 more lives being lost at the same venue. Bedok Reservoir, unlike a natural water body which encompasses the big waves and tides due to the phases of the moon, is generally calm and only changing in water levels due to raining seasons and etc.

On Oct 10 2011, a body was found floating in Bedok Reservoir in the morning and reported. This was believed to be the body of the indian man who reportedly jumped into the waters on Oct 08 but wasn't found. Again, due to some family problems as reported when his fellow workers were interviewed.

Starting to get strange? It's only the beginning of a series of many events which are reported but nobody started making a big brouhaha about the series of deaths, which was pretty strange to me given the amount of silly posts by some Stompers as all netizens would agree with me without much hesitation. The next body found at Bedok Reservoir was reported on 25th October 2011, of a chinese female whom Police believed to be in her late 50s. Strange thing, wearing red... again. Vengeful intent? No idea. Alright hold up, body count so far this year, 5. Fifth such incident in 5 months.

And then it finally caught the attention of many instead of perhaps thinking it will be over soon. It seems as though Bedok Reservoir became the new ideal suicide location, perhaps drowning was the trend of suicides today; and I'm not dismissing the possibility that there may be some spiritual paranormal activities involved.

The Chinese believe that water bodies should be avoided, especially during the month of the Ghost Festival where the gates of hell are opened and spirits are let loose, even the most vengeful of all. Hauntings become more apparent during that month, more accounts of spirit encounters evinces either 'they' are really active that month or our senses are merely heightened and we are scaring ourselves pretty realistically, where the case of mind over body definitely put into practice here.

Saturday, November 05 2011, another body was discovered and reported at roughly 0915hrs. This was spookily right before authorities and religious leaders are going to meet, a religious blessing which has been organized after the past spate of deaths. Are the spirits or spirit trying to hint something? Or pure coincidence that the religious blessing was held right after the death of the 6th unfortunate individual? Or is there something really felonious happening here?

Putting aside the possibility of a paranormal attack on these individuals and thinking more scientifically, is it possible that all of these cases were suicides? Honestly, put yourself in the shoes of one that wants to kill him or herself. (PS. Not telling you to end your life, obviously.) Would you choose somewhere where many people have killed themselves and causing such a big brouhaha about a possible vengeful spirit? I am not a professional understanding the depths of a criminal mind but logically speaking, I don't have to go to a reservoir to end my life. We only see cases of people jumping into the sea to commit suicide and not a reservoir?

So if it wasn't suicide? How is it possible that so many lives were lost? It cannot be because of a mishap where people slip or so on if not there should be reports of bruises to the head that made that individual concuss and pass out in the waters. A logical consequence? A serial murderer. One that is smart with criminal science, one that knows how to fake it as a suicide rather than a murder. One that knows how to manipulate the mind of investigators on the ground to immediately address the death as an unnatural death of suicide without even considering the possibility of a murder.

So let's just say, there's a serial killer around this area. What's the intent? There could only be three intents. It could be because of the deaths here, making it ideal to kill someone and get away scot-free because everyone would treat it as yet another suicide or possibility of paranormal activities involved. An ideal murder plot. It could also be because of what happened to the mother and child's death which was an obvious suicide to be a vengeful spirit after death as we have discussed. Someone who is very religious and believes strongly in the presence of such vengeful suicides and spirits after death, may want to prove a point to the public that yes, such things do exist. Hence the numerous lives lost to prove a point. Possible isn't it, though as ludicrous as it sounds. Lastly, the most ridiculous point but how do you judge that it is a ridiculous point when it is pretty much ridiculous that so many lives are lost at this area. Back to topic, the last possibility would be murder to bring down the prices of the ongoing property projects around this area, such as the Waterfront Waves and Gold and so on.

It's ridiculously possible I must say. Property concerns involves quite a big sum of money and in today's increasingly challenging and sardine-packed markets, there is competition like a never ending round of boxing match, relentless and never being able to let your guard down if not you don't just get an ordinary whack on your vulnerable cheeks, you get an instant knock-out, happy birthday. I am not the only one that thought of it this way, as in it affecting property prices, at least a possibility. I mean, when you want to purchase a new house, especially for newly-wed couples, you want the best first house you can ever get and settle down, not one that is well known to be haunted and having police visit all the time isn't it. You want a clean environment, both physically and spiritually so that you can live comfortably, go out and come home with a peace of mind and not palpitating heartbeats that make you wonder whether you suffer from any cardio-related illnesses.

I just wonder really, if anyone put all these into consideration. Whether there are some possibilities which we have left out. Rather than jumping into considerations. All hypothesis should be ventured and checked with regards to its credibility through a really pragmatic approach and thinking. After the 6th death on Saturday morning, the blessing of Bedok Reservoir continued, with members of the Inter-Religious Organisation, community leaders and residents, including former Foreign Minister George Yeo attending the event.

I sure hope it works. Enough lives are lost. Enough contribution to the increasing suicide rate in Singapore and we are not talking about youngsters here. Don't let stress affect your appreciation of life. Life is unfair and hard but never too hard that you have to end your life, the battle is gone as long as you give up hope. :)

It's pretty much the hottest topic on all forms of social networks with the three letters R.I.P flooding all our social networking sites and applications on our iPhones and other iDevices. Did I just mention iPhone?

Yeah, it's a norm in our conversations. We can safely replace all phones in our speeches into iPhones instead because if you travel on the commuter trains today, you are bound to see at least one other person using an iPhone in that cabin. I realized this when I was a bit more observant than just dozing off on the train. There are A LOT of people using iPhone, more than you actually do imagine the extent which Apple Inc has incorporated into our lives.

The late Steve Jobs, wasn't just the CEO of Apple Inc as most ordinary apple users would remember him as. In fact, his life is pretty interesting and as of many other geniuses and making-hell-loads-of-money people out there, he dropped out from college. Anyways, it was more than just dropping out if you watched the speech he gave at Stanford University, one of the leading university in the United States.

Steve Jobs, usually clad in his iconic black sleeve top and jeans, oozing with simplicity and class, wasn't that much of a rich kid since young. As explained by him in the video, (which I would save you the trouble of watching...) his biological parents put him up for adoption due to cultural and ethnic reasons at that point of time that did not allow them to keep Jobs as their child. So they put him up for adoption but the criteria for the adopting parents would be that both parties must be graduates from college.

He was supposed to be adopted by this lawyer and wife which didn't happen because at the last crucial moment, they decided that they wanted a baby girl. I bet they must have regretted for not adopting him and get his money man. So next on the waiting list was actually this couple where the guy didn't even reach high school and his wife didn't even reach college. Which was obviously a no no by Steve Job's biological parents. However, the adopting parents were very insistent on adopting him and after some time, they both reached a consensus of ensuring that Steve Jobs goes to college.

So much money was poured onto Steve Jobs for his tuition fees and all for college but just after 6 months, he realized that college would never help him reach what he wants. So he dropped out of school by the end of 6 months but became a drop in for another 18 months. Drop in being he attended lessons which he wasn't asked to but which he thought was interesting to him, following curiosity and his own intuition.

He explained about joining calligraphy lessons which he said was the very cornerstone to his creation and creativity in Apple products where awesome typography helped him produce Macbook with such awesome design. Apple became increasingly popular and he also hired a guy whom he thought was good. However, soon they had different visions and that led to arguments and him being kicked out of Apple because the board of directors sided with the other individual.

Being kicked out of what he created from scratch with Steve Wozniak, it was a tremendous emotional blow to Steve Jobs. However, according to Steve himself, he realized that being fired from Apple was perhaps the best thing ever. He explained, "Heaviness of being successful was replaced by lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me into one of the most creative periods of my life". He added on further, "It was an awful tasting medicine but I guess the patient needed it".

Anyways, so he worked with other organizations during the peak of his creativity because when he was lost, he kept telling himself. "Keep looking, don't settle", which was also the advice he gave to the graduates of that year during his speech. He joined organizations like the reputable Pixar and many others. So because of... you go and find out yourself, he was back in Apple.

Steve was a perfectionist in his work, going to the most simple of details, facing the fact that in every tool you create, you have to tackle the fundamentals in order for it to be perfect. Reports have even said that due to how perfectionistic he was, he consumed a very low calories diet which was pretty much fruits which made him constantly hungry. The Newsweek article on Steve Jobs for September 5, 2011 copy explained it as "What Jobs ate had to be perfect because Jobs had to be perfect.".

This pretty much explains how much of a perfectionist he was into the things he creates or even with himself. He was pretty much like a disciplined perfectionist which was like what one of the "10 Commandments of Steve", again by Newsweek which is really cool. Recommend that you guys pick up that article and read it through thoroughly. Can't wait for their special edition copy for the late Steve Jobs.

Much thinner, lesser hair but the same person? Yeah, the same genius. Steve Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which he actually was able to be cured through some procedure but was definitely affecting his health greatly still, taking leaves which made him absent sometimes from the media front.

Here is a look of some of the most sleek and coolest gadgets we all know but come on, it's worth looking at high definition photos of such awesome creation. I love using these!!!

Steve Jobs did not just revolutionized the Computer industry with his initial designs and prototypes of Macintosh. He dominated the music industry, letting so many music artists have a better music industry today because of the creation of his iPods and also iTunes which allows consumers to purchase music off the app. He changed the entire Music Industry. With his money? No, with his genius thoughts and ideas tuned towards perfection to the most naked detail.

Really, how does this insane genius come out with so many ideas and great products which ease the inconvenience of many individuals today? I personally am using a iPhone because of its great functionalities, its games and more importantly, its easy sync function. It's so simple just plug in and sync, just as Steve Jobs would boast about his products. It's so easy and good! Especially when I'm using a Macbook Air now. It makes syncing and all much much easier!

This is how Steve Jobs works and he is not afraid of telling you the concept to the root of his success as an imaginator. Every morning, Steve Jobs would look into the mirror and ask himself if today was the last day of his life, would he want to do what he is going to do. And if he realizes that for a couple of consecutive days, it has been No, then something is wrong and he would fine-tune it. Sounds pretty stupid but actually if you attend many courses of self-help and all, this is what they actually encourage to do. To set out for the day, before the day commences. This mindset has certainly helped him through and made him to how successful he is and how well respected by many individuals in the World today for his numerous breakthrough in technology, in being unique and battling the ever conformities in technological products.

He is a genius. He is indeed missed by many. But from what I read in the newspaper, he left 4 years worth of Apple products ready to be launched before he passed away unfortunately. I am rather keen to look at what he has prepared for times after his passing. Perhaps the greatest creation he has ever thought of. Who knows. Only time will tell.

But for now, let's look forward to the iPhone 4s which has only just been announced recently and for tomorrow, the awesome and impressive iOS5 for our apple products. So really, the question you will ask yourself if you are thinking of making something from scratch or innovating something...

Acne Acne Go Away

Hello all!
So recently I've been on a crazy craze to search for a good facial wash that would be suitable for my face and help improve complexion if not I will look ugly and not be able to reach my prime by 25. HAHAHA. Okay lah, not for my prime but so that I will not look horrendous like I was a few years back.

It was really bad in the past man, felt like a freak and didn't want to go out to meet anyone or head out to purchase anything. I became a fat zhai nan at home! Been trying to figure out what is the best facial care and steps to take care of your face so that we will have perfectly smooth skin like those photoshopped people! You can have the most handsome of faces but if you have like acne problems, you are just going to look tired dull and ugly.

You have totally no idea how many facial products I've tried man people. SO MANY TILL MY SKIN IS TOO TIRED ALREADY.

You know the desperation you get when you are way too pissed off with the condition of your skin that all you wanna do is to try everything on it until something works out? Like, how much worse can it get right. I reached a point where I would wanna save up some cash to do some laser operation to remove the acne scars and all.

I've tried all sorts of products and every time having to convince myself that hey, maybe this is the right facial cleanser and I will not have to worry anymore and before I know it, my skin would look better!

I have a troubled skin and perhaps some might term it to be sensitive. I've visited doctors to treat it in the past by consuming medicine to I think control the hormonal production or something? I'm not too sure but nothing worked man. Feels so bad that I had to keep going facials which are FRIGGING PAINFUL when your face is such a mess.

I swear I didn't wanna talk to anyone or dare look at anyone for long. :(
I was and still am ugly, just not TOO UGLY.

So when my face got bad initially, my mummy purchased for me some cleanser, toner and moisturizer from Loreal Men Experts if I'm not wrong. Somehow, it did not only not work, it seems to have made things worse. And from then on, I'm just Guardian and Watson's best customer, purchasing all sorts of facial care products to test and find one that suits me.

Pimple gels and whatever acne covering shit, all I've been there done that but nothing worked and it only made me feel worse. But one day, fortunately, I found something which helped my skin a lot and that time I enlisted into the army and damn, it would only mean my face being more rotten isn't it???

These face washes are so good!!! I personally love the Charcoal Face Wash, no brands can beat that because I tried using other brands too even though this was pretty suitable for my skin. Like for our skin leh, I would rather pay and try more other products which may prove to be even much better and suitable than this one so that was what I did.

BUT NOTHING WAS BETTER THAN THIS!!! So I decided to stick to this no matter what and then it is always good to use the same brand's moisturizer and toner because somehow I feel that if you are using its facial wash and it is good, means the rest should be suitable for you? I AM WRONG LA. Hahaha, not all is like this. I don't really like the moisture veil for Mentholatum for Men. It makes you feel like you put on an oily sunscreen lotion even though it says it doesn't. Trust me, men with oily skin, you will totally wanna wash your face off the instance you apply the moisture veil.

Alright, now more importantly for those who are having very bad acne! Do not, because you think you are dirty or oily and then keep washing your face. From what I've researched online when I was having very bad acne, you must not wash your face too many times because you risk removing your face's natural oils which are essential for your face not to be too dry and too dry risk you having pimples which I got no idea why but just accept it yeah! It does. Wash your face at most 3 times although they said morning and night but afternoon is okay I guess or after a sport activity.

So the steps are simple. Always cleanse first then scrub if you wanna but not everyday of course, and then tone and moisturize. Just remember these basic simple steps and you should see progressive results. (:
I understand the amount of disappointment and lack of confidence when you have problems with your skin. It's super disturbing :(

Weird fact number... many many. When I was still having very bad acne, I tend to search online and read up bloggers' reviews on facial care products and then judging from the appearance of their skin then see if good or not then I will purchase and try. I remember seeing AndyStorm's blog about the Mentholatum Acne Medicated Skincare and his skin is pretty good so I tried but big mistake man! I think that was the one that really made my skin really bad but varies from individual to individual. SO... the problem is... it does not mean that if a facial product works really well on an individual means it will work well on you. That is a big big misconception. But oh well, it is still worth a try right, it's just like people recommending to you when their face appears excellently well.

My girlfriend has such smooth silky skin lo, it's so unfair and I feel very shitty beside her because my skin so cui!!! Sucks to have such a good looking girlfriend and you just cannot-make-it. HAHAHA. The woes of an ugly boy. It's okay, her peak is now and soon over. Mine has yet to arrive and when it does, I'm going to look sexy and toned. HAHAHAHA.

So I asked Deborah what did she use for washing her face and she started telling me Hada Labo, what one drop locks the ocean and I totally gave her the zzz face when she always advertise about it in front of me because she has such good complexion la and then she will act like the model! HAHAHA. Pa pa pa!

So I tried out Hada Labo too and it was actually one of the products I saw online which I wanted to purchase and try out because it was part of Mentholatum's range and it seems pretty good and koreany. HAHAHAHA. But I couldn't find it and there is was, only at Watson's stores.

The one drop locks the ocean refers to its hydration lotion which works pretty well. You can give it a try. I think it serves as a toner then you purchase its hydrating milk lotion which will act as a moisturizer. Now, another tip or knowledge. Remember having too dry a skin means you will have bad complexion and outbreaks? So the main point is to keep your skin hydrated and that will leave it subtle and smooth!

So actually masks are good as it will help you hydrate your skin and this isn't just me saying because somebody told me about this logic but because MANY people told me from their experience. That is why Hada Labo is really good because it hydrates your skin as you cleanse it too. And trust me, I've never felt my skin feel so smooth before as compared to other products I've tried!

Only problem is I'm not sure if this is good enough for guys yet or not because guy's skin is just way too different from that of girls and we are the one out in the sun exposing to all the dirt and germs when we work out, exercise or are just out there in the sun. You get what I mean.

But like I said, no harm done, keep trying till you get the one that you like. So far these are the two I would really recommend. I know there are a lot of publicity for other products at stores right now but I cannot state which are the products that I find very lousy or what, I am not in the position to comment either. So... try out these two brands first if you still haven't. You may start having good skin too if you take care of your own face!

The Voice - The Blind Auditions That Had Great Ears.

Yes, it is a TV show obviously related to some contest searching not for any other voices but... THE VOICE. As a blogger, it is the most lamebrained move to attract more attention by saying this show has actually ended its first season already if you haven't even heard about it. And that is exactly why I think you are so so so missing out and I'm not going to let you miss out on anything!!!

Recently, my sister had to tell me about this really interesting show (or so she tried to prove so much she nearly got her life on the line). I was honestly, skeptical about this show. Tells me something about a singing competition, singers with chairs that will turn around if they are good, can't see the singers but can only hear the voice. I was even more skeptical. Like hell no, what kind of a show would that be. If I had a choice and time to spare, I would have spent time watching the latest season of American Idol because what can I say, it is the best singing competition on the biggest scale I've ever watched and look at the number of votes and popularity?!

So I immediately had to YouTube it because my sister demanded that we watch it and yes with all the tucking of the shirt, I nonchalantly YouTube(d) for The Voice and I saw one featured video or at least the one that appeared to have the most votes when sorted by relevance in my search results.

Here are my thoughts right away. This guy looks NOTHING like the spectacular voice coming out of him, it didn't suit him for sure especially with all the cool type of handshake he has with his friend at the introduction portion and with all the tattoos? I can only imagine him shouting taunts and flexing his muscles but the voice is just... Is this auto-tuned?! It was great.

But yeah, they started speaking a language which I could not comprehend obviously but was somewhat familiar to one of the videos I watched before and yes the title says The Voice Holland and where is the Christina Aguilera that my sister is pinching me for? This is definitely not The Voice program that we are looking for so I continued searching and this came up.

That definitely showed a sneak preview into the production purpose of this show but still seem pretty boring huh except for the most mind-blasting thing they mentioned. The coaches. Yes, these are basically the players of the competition during the blind auditions. The coaches are well known record artistes. It is the tall towering country-rock singer Blake Shelton, the ever creative and not always crude with his hit single 'Forget You' Cee Lo Green, Equipped with one of the most smoothest of voice from the Band Maroon 5 Adam Levine and the giant of the show in terms of her contributions and achievements in the music industry, Christina Aguilera.

These are not just randomly picked stars because as you get hooked onto the show which I promise you, you will after reading this and proceeding on with the clips on YouTube, they blend in so well because they cover up for each other's shortcomings. No point telling you, GET HOOKED TO THE SHOW IT IS WORTH BEING A GEEK FOR AWHILE I PROMISE YOU.

Thank goodness I came into this show knowing all of the coaches pretty well already and if you don't really know, here's just a slight intro to the individual coaches starting with the famous to the less known by people of my age.

She is so well known, I feel kind of stupid to type anything about her. HAHAHA. Anyways, just a funny thing I realized when I was googling for her photos to upload here. So many of them are so wrong, naked ones or in a seductive posture or boobs-grabbing.

By the way, she wasn't that... erm, bubbly in the past. She blossomed after pregnancy if not she would have looked just like the above or even like this which was when I first like her concerts, her voice was thunderous man!

Obviously we have to go to this next artist, well known Lead Singer of the great Maroon 5.

He is I can say, the best coach in this show although during performances, Christina just takes the show away like it's her own personal concert. Adam Levine on the other hands packs a punch to his awesome voice too but in a really different way, can't compare it to Christina's style.

But this show is about selling yourself, and he like what the other coaches would say and totally agree with, is a hell of a great seller. Honestly if you are given the choice to choose, you will totally go with Adam because he fits most of the type of music we like right now and type of songs that we would sing to~.

Next, Cee Lo Green!!!

After watching him in this show, there was so much respect for the work he does that I went to listen to more of his songs. It isn't just the infamous 'Forget You' that is in another version that would be better if I don't put here? HAHAHA.

HE HAS SO MANY OTHER AWESOME SONGS GO BUY HIS ALBUM!!!

And now, Blake Shelton. I described him as towering because when I racked my brains to think how do you describe this talented soul, I just have to be reminded of how tall and giant he is when I first saw him standing right beside one of my favorite idols, Michael Buble in David Foster's concert when they duet Home. Awesome work which I think you can find out.

This guy is a country-rock singer with the best vocal of 2011 for some award which I'm lazy to google to find out. But anyways, the point I was driving about is that this guy is so not just a country-rock singer. HE IS SO DAMN VERSATILE. You will know in one of his TEAM PERFORMANCES when he sang somebody's song. I cannot spoil the show but I can generate the anticipation. HAHAHAHA. Another incentive for you to watch it. See, by reading this how much anticipation do you have already!

SO HERE ARE THE COACHES:

Yes, the Blind Auditions as per the title of this blog entry. Not forever blind, these coaches have the authority to do the grand 'let there be light' and see who is that possessing that unique voice or simply just to burst their curiosity bubble. They have a price to pay if they are merely just curious. Here's how the game goes:

The coaches from left to right, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine will all be facing as you are seeing from the photo. Behind them is the stage of The Voice and all around them are spectator stands. On each of the tables or whatever you call that of the coaches, there is a red buzzer kind of a button. The coaches will have their backs to the contestants, not able to see how they look and how they are performing except for The Voice. This is also known as the blind auditions.

When the particular coach likes The Voice of that individual and wants him/her on their team to take part in this competition, they will hit the buzzer and their chairs will spin around to face the stage. Unless they hit the buzzer, they will not be allowed to peek over to look at who is singing.

Here's the catch. If only one coach turns around, it means that that singer on stage will be in the team of the coach that turned around with words lighted up below their chairs saying 'I CHOOSE YOU'.

If two or more coaches turn around for the chap, the power of choice is being thrown back to the contestant on the stage and he would choose whose team he or she preferred to be on. This is usually based more on type of genre they sing rather than the popularity of the artist if not Christina Aguilera is going to have TOO MANY PLAYERS on this show.

However, if none of the coaches likes The Voice, that contestant will be out of the competition right away.

Whether did the coaches press to choose the contestant or not, they will all turn around to face the stage after the contestant is done with his/her song. And the competition continues and all 4 coaches will have their back facing the stage before the next contestant takes the stage.

Sounds simple? Sounds retarded? It is a tough choice to make for the coaches because they do not know if they could choose a better one on their team after they have already filled up their team spots. The coaches also attempt to sell themselves by boasting and showing off what they have and able to offer as compared to the other coaches and it's a real joy watching them fight with great sportsmanship.

THIS SHOW IS INCREDIBLY AWESOME!

YOU HAVE TO CATCH IT!!!

Hairy Bottle's from the Sorcerer's Stone to Nothing

We all love magic, wizards and witches amaze us since the beginning of our lives as a young curious child bubbling with enthusiasm, oozing with smiles. I am not afraid to admit, my impression of witches were mainly those with the usual long pointed wizardry hats, face with either a mole or none, accompanied by more wrinkles than you ever thought a human being could have and a really long crooked nose. Here's a little helping tool to your imagination if you totally cannot visualize.

So let's just say witches weren't really that appealing to my age group at that point of time, or at least to me. Then came the big whoo-ha about Harry Potter, everyone were just crazy over the books at that point of time and JK. ROWLING definitely became a star overnight. Being lazy to read the thick thick book when I was a little young boy that doesn't wanna drown his adolescence on books but to be out in the sunny field getting healthy Vitamin D and lots of cancer-potential-cells from our amazing Sun, I only grew interest into all the magic wizardry and witch-craft thingy after watching the first Harry Potter sequeal.

IT WAS AWESOME. Little kids who could do more than just talking nonsense to each other. What more can you expect really from these three really well chosen characters and a Emma Watson aka Hermoine Granger that many fell head over heels for.

The emphasis is not on Harry Potter or Ron Weasley. Look at Malfroy. HAHAHA EPIC!

Now, if it was an awesome show, great ending to the sequeal, I would have twittered AWESOME or something and just continue gasping in awe for the show and how great and superb it was. But I swear, I am utterly disappointed in how the show was wrapped up ever since the first part of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. IT WAS SO DAMN BORING AND STUPID.

Many people often complain about how irritating Singaporeans can be with their comments but if you think about it, why not employ us Singaporeans to comment about your product or your show because really, when we comment and critic, we put you in the worst case scenario and make you sound like your show is a complete waste and you can think of how you can improve your show. Really, we will make good well paid professional critics. If you are taking my point into consideration, why not give me some money to start the trend? :D

What captivated me into the whole sequel of this Harry Potter craze was first, the storyline and how unpredictable and really interesting in terms of the magical world. Things like the real chess game in one of the earlier episodes, things like the need to use the fang from the snake, things like Harry Potter was a Parseltongue. These are really interesting factors to put into the show or the book to begin with that makes me always think, what more interesting things have you not figured out about yourself Harry Potter, what makes you the chosen one, do you actually have far better magic and ability than Hermoine Granger? Maybe when Voldemort casts a dragon, you could have something in you that makes you cast a spell that can tame the dragon down and make him feel strange how come you being just a simple ordinary young wizard could do so much to stop him.

I WANT ACTION,
I want new spells, as complicated or cool as it sounds!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed scenes like this, so realistic the fight, the magic like fireworks, the things they casted out omg awesome!!!

Hero tactics. I need heroes in the show, not just people grabbing the Griffindor Sword and start killing a snake only. I WANT MAGIC. If I want just action like such, there are plenty of other shows to watch for such actions but magic is what makes Harry Potter different from everything else and something which others can't reproduce~


I want to see Voldemort putting in effort and showing more strength in fighting! In the last scene of Part II of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, he looked more like a street performer. Friggin lousy acting and you know it when everyone in the cinema laughed when he did something.

Where are the alliances in the show? I only see people popping up here and there to say something cool but I see nothing cool. I want people shouting the spells when they fight, use new awesome spells that I've never ever seen. You can be creative on this? Not just waving of wands and fireworks coming out, that is like a laser gun fight, uber boring and not Harry Potter-like at all!!!


The most deceiving of images isn't it? It all ends. Yeah, thank God it ended. :(

Basically, the whole show was a waste of my moolah. To think that after watching the thriller, it seemed like the second part of Deathly Hallows could be a way to make up for all the stupid scenes in part one, the lousy ending of Voldemort getting the Elderwand, shoot into the sky and to be continued.

Scenes like such, could there be something more spectacular than shooting really very friendly shots into the sky to form a cover? Unless there was intention for the soft approach where it is like a consolidated effort then okay, credits to the thought.

Scenes like such, so useless. I want such scenes and then they collaborate to show more fighting like that of in the Half Blood Prince or which episode, where they were fighting with Voldemort's followers and Sirius Black died. THAT KIND OF ACTION WAS PRETTY GOOD!!!


Till date, I think it was the producer's biggest and most stupid and obvious mistake. WHY IS THIS SO CALLED THE GIRLFRIEND OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER OF THE SHOW SO FUGLY. OMG. I really don't get it. If you can find someone like Emma Watson to cover for Hermoine Granger then why not another not say better but at least normal. Honestly, I think he gave wrong roles to the two of them. They should be swapped. I puke at the sight of Hermoine Granger kissing Ron Weasley. The other sight that I puked at? This lo.

SERIOUSLY, THEY LOOK SO MUCH COMPATIBLE.

But the only thing that made me WHOA in the show and thought, maybe the show is going to be exciting but it turned out to be a spoiler itself, was this awesome character throughout the whole show. She happened to be the most impressionable character throughout the whole sequel for Harry Potter.

BEST SPELL OF THE WHOLE HARRY POTTER SEQUEL. And also perhaps the only one that mattered in the whole show. Even Hermoine's genius plan out of Hogwarts in the beginning of the show was stupid because she just kept using the same spell over and over and over and over and over and over again. BORING!!!

Overall, the movie was... STILL FRIGGIN LOUSY. I'm not going to even say overall the movie was alright. It was boring and it just proved to me that the whole Deathly Hallows Harry Potter Sequel is super boring and disturbing in the sense that it is really going to end this way. Well, up to you all to judge the show for yourself but I've given you a piece of my mind on the show.

It's okay if you didn't like the show just as I didn't. It's okay if you preferred Voldemort to be alive. It's okay, it was just a show...

Planet Shark Exhibition

Ever since I was young, I had this awe for the viciousness and amazing facts about Sharks. The strength they are entitled with, those teeth which seem like weak and deformed because the dentists at work are not doing their job well, are flesh tearing tools sharp like knives and blades.

They are perhaps the most feared animal of the planet because we humans are born to stay on land, soil whether hard or soft is where we feel the safest. Some say that the world in the sea is much bigger than the world we have above us. There are so many things beneath the sea that we are still unsure of, things which fear us right at the thought of it. Things like the humongous giant squid that is suspected to be feeding on whales which are one of the largest creatures in the deep oceans in our world today. Who could have expected them to be prey for bigger animals in the deepest of the deep seas. Giant squids left evidence on the whales bodies, marks of their poisonous tentacles, huge huge tentacles for sure.

But as far as we know now, in all the knowledge that we have in the world today, Sharks are the most feared by both humans and animals alike. We fear dinosaurs, deadly carnivores like the Tyrannosaurus. All that is left of these death-staring creatures are nothing but bones and fossils, none of which is still alive and of fresh specimens. Sharks however, have lived through the darkest of days, past any possibility of extinction. Sharks have swum in our oceans today for more than 450 million years and have evolved through so many stages in the biological battle as we speak, against time and other ever-evolving animals. Sharks that existed in those of the Dinosaurs' generation include sharks like the Megalodon, the largest of Sharks ever that we today suspect to be consuming whales. Whales. (Just to emphasis again).

The sharks that most of you have an impression of are all the great white sharks, with ferocious looking expressions, killing anything that stands in the way but there are so much more to sharks that many of you do not know. Sharks are perhaps the only marine creature that pokes its head out of the water to inspect new things or things which it is curious of. Though not as cute as dogs poking out its head through the door to welcome you though.

Sharks by its name already send thrills down your spine don't it? But not all sharks are all deadly and bloody. The biggest marine creature in our seas today is none other than a whale... shark. Yes, it is a shark that looks like a whale and hence its name. It has such big wide mouths but they aren't used for tearing flesh and all. It opens up its mouth like a basking shark does and consume organisms like plankton from the sea. Such a gargantuan giant and all it eats are such small micro organisms insignificant to our naked eyes.

THAT IS WHY, I decided to head to Singapore Science Centre with Deborah to have a look at this pretty famous and huge exhibit from overseas. Or so I thought it would be very interesting. High hopes but shattered, no photography allowed but nobody cared, there were so many flashes around that I carried on with my Olympus Pen too! Hahaha. Typical Singaporeans man.

Went to get the tickets first before going to Mac Donalds to have lunch. Was so famished I swear although Deborah already had McBreakfast in the morning. So she ate nuggets instead while I rewarded myself with some thick savoury double quarter pounder with cheese. Sounds good? Hehe.

I swear they have one of the nicest McDonalds man! They have all the toys from way long ago all put up nicely on the transparent shelves and it makes the whole ambience really nice, reminds you of your childhood. Nice McDonalds Branch, I LIKE!

I have a weird habit of arranging my food nicely before I consume. Just like when I am about to study, everything must be in order and nice. HAHAHA. Weird me but I think I'm cool.

There are so many of such things, mainly teeth and all that you are just bored of it because they are all accompanied by all those doctrinal terms that are pretty hard to swallow wholeful at all.

Just so you peeps know, I've been unable to stop "Aww, you so cute" at her for many days now.

We totally was told to put the chair back to the normal place. The chair that we used to take a self-timed shot like the one above. HAHAHA. What the! That place so ulu, nobody would use that chair also!!! Pfffffffffffft.

As you can see, the usual science centre exhibits are much better than that of the planet shark.
Together with the planet shark exhibit, it costs you about $21 and if you wanna watch the 3D Planet Shark show which has almost little or nothing about sharks and worst documentary I've ever watched, it would cost you $25. So be smart, take the $16 or $21 one to have a good look around.

Don't hold too much hopes because I had too much of it and I regretted.
But I enjoyed doing silly things with Deborah so depends on your company. We made it fun as always, thank you girl!

Thirst To Win, Rather Kill Than Lose

A man of great willpower and determination, focused on the game and fixated on the ball till the very last hole, Tiger Woods is reknown for his talent in golf that earned him the number one spot in the world ranking for the most consecutive number of weeks and number of weeks ever. He also placed himself unintentionally on FORBES chart of the richest sportsman in the world, a reported $105m, something which you and I can never even imagine what sort of lifestyle a man like him would be having behind those golf clubs and his trademark nike caps which seems to be custom-made for this talented individual.

There are many professional sportsman in the world, earning good money doing what they enjoy and training and practising exactly what we wish we would have time to do during weekends when we are away from the stressful environment at work. Boys love soccer, wishes to not have to wear all the tight fitting clothings with a bow tie to work everyday doing things which they totally dislike doing. Wouldn't it be nice to play soccer professionally, training by playing soccer and earning big bucks on the pitch and getting all the fame and glory showered upon you unconditionally by your fans? And you will want to wear formal not to work but to huge ass clubs filled with the richest of the richest and beauty beyond words.

The media is at fault, people with too good a photography and photo-editting skills. It creates wrong impressions, how great a sportsman is and concretes our impression that they are perfect dudes, dudes who will never have family or relationship problems because they are having such good lives. So much emphasis is placed on sportsman in the world today, the publicity is crazy and you can easily find really cool pictures showcasing the prowress of sportsman today.

With so much fame, too much that an individual would be able to control really, pride is inevitable. They can do whatever they want, they are in control. They are greedy to win, greedy for the medal that shines the brightest and nicest. I am not surprised, women become just like another normal victory to them and losing in one just means they have to revise their moves and make sure they score the next time they play them.

We look at them like role models because they are our idols, we idolize them for good. They are great at what they do and we hope we can be like them one day, hopefully because fame is such a temptation like cigs and drugs. Fame is limitless and every new ounce is another dosage of drug to keep you high and you can never get enough, just too little for you to live on. There's a crisis, we are not going to have role models soon or people we look to and say, how I wish I could be just like him because all of them have witnessed other sportsman committing a mistake and yet they are still obliviously not giving a damn about it.

We have Tiger Woods here giving a public apology for cheating on his wife. A married man cheating on his spouse? Even if he is to hit a consecutive 10 hole in ones, his image is tarnished. That perfect pristine image of idols are so fragile and sensitive when hit by controversial topics like such. It's analogous to fame, it gets high and compiled fast but it drops to zero when your pride gets to your head.

Apologetic but you're just darn stupid. Fame killed you Tiger.

With an introduction of media-frenzy organisations like TMZ, nothing is well concealed or ever kept secret. Cristiano Ronaldo here, seen being intimate with Paris Hilton and reportedly to be smooching intensively and flirting with each other as though they have already known each other for ages.

You get caught red-handed if you are to cheat outside or flirt around, people are everywhere but apparently, like I've said, too much fame in the head, deludes judgement of things and we have people whom we never expected to do anything, at least not adultery.

Ryan Giggs, one of the most respected players in Manchester United today and yet a long 8-years scandal was just revealed and awaiting answers and responses by the main characters of this sexciting story. Apparently he had been sleeping with his brother's wife for the past 8 years. His own biological brother. Seriously if you are a great lover of soccer, you will have your jaws dropped to the floor right now if you still haven't heard of this story.

If it isn't a lesson well learnt enough to all sportsman in the world today or at least a warning that your dirty little secrets will be discovered one day, I can only say you are dumb.

Looks like a pretty happily-ever-after story huh. With a newborn baby, with genuine smiles on their faces, there wasn't a single tinge of guilt or regret on Wayne Rooney's face, how scary are facades and expressions. Have we all been deceived by fake smiles?

Wayne Rooney here cheated on his wife when his wife was 5-months into pregnancy. Seemingly the time where a man should be the most faithful and caring to his wife and yet he cheated on her. Once again, you will never expect him to do it.

"Miss Wood, from Manchester, also alleged that the England player had cheated "countless times" on his wife and that he had slept with "loads of my friends". Despite this, she said, she could not understand why he was repeatedly unfaithful.
"He is so unbelievably normal. Dead timid. Out of all the footballers that I've met I'll never know why he cheats," she said. "There's a lot worse than him. He reminds me of the boy at school who tried to be the lad's lad, but he's not."

Dead Timid? To hell with that. Hello fortunate sportsman out there, with fame and pride and money, use it wisely and not be an asshole. I assume that most of you have cheated or at least had encounters with prostitutes, you are our role models, we treat you with the utmost admiration and respect but these case studies are doing your credibility no good at all.

Fame is a dangerous matter, not just with sportsman but with many people around us as you all would have known. People who put a halt sign to learning and admitting of mistakes, treats himself as most high and exalting himself, culminating in pride and independence and neglecting the feelings of others because theirs matter most.

I'm so disappointed. They are humans afterall, just with better talents than the rest of us.
Selfish and sex-driven. Thinking with our sexual reproductive organs rather than a complex mind with intellect, common sense and logic. Homo-sapiens. 1 point to Evil. Congratulations.
