மூணு வேளை சோறு
ஒரு வேளை ஆனது,

பத்து மணிநேர தூக்கம்
ஐந்து மணிநேரமானது,

மாதத்திற்கு ஒரு முறை
வெட்டும் - முடி கொட்டி - மொட்டைதலையானது,

ஒரு நேர உடல்பயிற்சிக்கும்
அவகாசமின்றி -
தொப்பை வேறு சட்டி போலானது,

இனிப்பு தின்பதோ
காரம் விரும்பித் தின்பதோ
சீடை, தேன்மிட்டாய், கைவிரல் அப்பளம்,
அச்சுமுறுக்கு, தட்டை, ஒட்டையடை சமாச்சாரமோ
அறவே மறந்து போனது,

ஸ்டைலுக்கு பிடித்த சிகரெட் அணைந்து
ருசிக்க குடித்த பீரும் விஸ்கியும்
பழக்கத்திலிருந்து தீர்ந்து போனது,

சினிமா -
எப்பொழுதாவது
பொழுதை ஆக்கும் படங்கள் வந்தால்
மட்டுமே என்றானது,

ஊர் சுற்றும் அளவு நேரமோ
அத்தனை அதிக பணமோ
கையிருப்பில் - இருப்பதில்லை,

எங்கு போய் எங்கு வந்தாலும்
கணக்கு பார்த்துப் பார்த்து
வட்டிக்குக் கடன் வாங்கும் அளவிற்குக்கூட
வாழ்தலின் நிம்மதியை
வாங்க இயலா அன்றாட போக்கு,

இதில் வேறு -
அம்மா, அப்பா,
உறவு, நட்பு, சுற்றத்தார் என
இறப்பின் இழப்பு
சொல்லி மீளா வலியும் அழுத்தமுமாய்
தன் மரணம் வரை நீளும் கொடுமை -
தாங்க முடியா ரண பாரம் வேதனையின் உச்சம்,

என்றோ பார்த்தவன்
எங்கோ பழகியவனைக் கூட
நினைத்து வருத்தப்படுமளவிற்கு
பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு
பண்பட இயலா பதட்டமான மனநிலை,

வாழ்வின் தூரகால
இடைவெளிக்குப் பின்
திரும்பிப் பார்க்கையில் -
எதையுமே
பெற்றுக் கொண்டதாய் இல்லாமல்
விட்டுசெல்லவே வந்ததாய் உறுத்தும்
ஒரு பாவப்பட்ட பிறப்பு,

ஆக, எத்தனையோ வலியினூடே
பல போராட்டங்களைத் தாண்டியும்
வாழ முற்படுகையில் -
உள்ளே ஒரு மனசு
கூட்டி கழித்துப் பார்த்து
'ஏனோ' இந்த வாழ்வென
நொந்துக் கொண்டு தானிருக்கிறது.

முடிவாய்
நொந்து போகையிலும்
சிந்திப்பது தான் -
வாழ்க்கை போலும்!!
