Gossiping is just so unattractive. If you do nothing yourself, you gossip. So why not try to work on yourself, instead of spending your time judging others?

I have always disliked gossiping a lot and I can honestly say I change the subject when someone tries to gossip about something with me. After a while, people get it that I am just not into that kind of thing and stop. Highly recommended!

This amazing woman, Ms. Henderson, who was recently featured in the Style section of New York Times (another thing I absolutely LOVE!). Not only does she have an amazing story and home but she also does a lot of good by adopting animals of all kinds who live with her.

... neon pink. Normally I don't like neon colors that much, they are a bit too in your face for my taste, but lately, I have come to think they can be okay in small doses. This is why I recently bought this neon pink star patterned tank top:

And this neon pink clutch bag (from ASOS).

By no means do I think more than one neon pink piece should ever be worn together (that's just pushing the whole thing a bit too far, and I am still taking baby steps here!), but one small piece at a time, with a neutral simple background could work I think.

Anything to brighten up the mood during the winter, I say. And neon pink does that really well!

... another dress worn by Duchess Kate. I know that is such a predictable thing to do, since EVERYONE seems to absolutely love her style at the moment, but she really is the best dressed celebrity by far at the moment, so what can you do?

Either way, she wore this Temperley London dress to a movie premiere for War Horse in London recently and I think it looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g!

... these cool photos of Joan Smalls and Saskia de Brauw in the Chanel Spring 2012 campaign.

I think it is because I actually work out on the beach myself. (Yes, the models are supposed to be working out in their Chanel gear)
You see, where I live, the city has placed a lot of excercise equipment on the beaches, so everyone can work out for free. I love that idea, and while the places where all this equipment is placed can get pretty crowded during the day, it's really nice to start your day by going to some of them in the morning.

As for the photos from the Chanel campaign, I love how they somehow create a vibe of calm, even though the models are supposedly working out. A very cool contrast!

I love the end of the week. It's always more relaxing for me than the beginning of the week, which is why I take the time to go shopping, strolling on the beach and whatever else I may feel like that day come Friday and Saturday each week. Just wanted to pop by to wish all my readers Happy New Year and a fun, fashion filled 2012!

I am making some New Year's resolutions this year:
To purge my bags, I don't need that many
To purge my shoes, I don't need that many
To go to either Paris or Florence (or why not both? But I am not sure how realistic that is, so let's make it at least one of them) during 2012.

Some weekends are just way more memorable than others. This weekend seems to be one of the more memorable ones in a while for me.

It all started yesterday, when I went to a fun, fantastic bachelorette party where I ate well, drank tons of cava (yum!) and laughed until my stomach hurt.

Then the weekend continued with a fun and charming event at a really cool hotel in my home town that I had never visited before.

I ate well again, had some fantastic wine again, and laughed again.
Now I think I need a detox!

Christopher Kane does it again

Lately, I have really been into Christopher Kane's pieces. Which is kind of weird, because I haven't been that much of a fan before and usually I don't change my mind completely when it comes to designers. But I got a very Christopher Kane inspired bag recently, and now I am sitting here, wondering if I should get this Rainbow lace-print stretch-jersey tank dress, also by Christopher Kane:

I really think his rainbow pieces in general turn out really cute. So I think it is time to add some actual Christopher Kane pieces (as opposed to only inspired pieces) to my wardrobe soon! The real thing is always better, after all.

Regarding cruises, is that you really need to be in good shape in every possible way when you go on one. I mean, you are going to be exposing so much of yourself, for such a large part of the day, every day. So today I made tons of appointments for all kinds of beauty treatments, in order to have a chance to look good when I go.

So even though I don't really do a lot of these treatments during the winter normally, a at home pedicure and manicure simply won't do this time.

But even though this cruise is ending up costing me so much before I even go, I have to say it's kind of nice to get into the holiday mood by pampering and prepping yourself in advance. So I see it as a positive thing after all!

I still can't seem to stop obsessing about cruise wear.

I think there is a real danger I will end up with way too many tunics, bathing suits and so on way before I even go on my cruise!
But I keep telling myself that you can wear tunics, like this one from Island Importer, as clothes after the cruise as well. So it's really not such a bad thing. Right?

And in the worst case, I guess I can always go on another cruise just to get to wear the extra stuff I bought, in case I don't end up using it all. Not a very bad option either, when you think about it.

Purchase of the day: ASOS clutch

I really needed a fun clutch for a special event I am attending in a bit over a month (I already have the outfit picked out, but needed to add a splash of color with a bag in order to not make the whole thing look too boring and plain) so I was thrilled to find this cute laser cut clutch bag over at ASOS:
