So much has been going on.. I’ve really been working on my Scentsy Candle Business a lot. It’s going really great. Christmas orders were crazy. I’ve really been having a lot of fun with it. AND it couldn’t have come at a better time… as the economy sucks.. Kevin’s company is struggling.. so the more stress I can take off of him… the better!

I guess I need to begin with some pictures from Kylie’s 2nd birthday party. We had her party at home. It was a fun Thanksgiving lunch with friends and family- and our new pup that the kids got for Christmas arrived the same day! Scarlet is 3/4 standard poodle and 1/4 lab.

Jax started his new preschool today! He goes 5 days a week for 3 hrs a day. He loved it. He was so excited and the teacher said he did great! After he got home from school, I asked him what he did at school and he replied, “I ate sand.” Not sure what to say to that.. be he assured me that he didn’t like it and won’t be consuming anymore sand.:) He must have been hungry because at sonic for happy hour his request was: ” a cheese beebo (burger) with no tomatoes, bananas, beans, or yucky yellow sauce, or nunyions or pimples!” He’s too cute!

I am so thankful that a friend talked me into looking into this school… I was so scared after the fiasco with Wylie last year. (If you have a child with special needs… don’t put them in WYLIE ISD -It’s AWFUL!) This has been so nice. The people at this new school have been so caring.. I left the placement meeting almost in tears… good tears this time… because they all seem to genuinely care about Jax having a good experience and getting him included in general ed as much as possible so he’s ready for Kindergarten when he’s old enough.. which will be Fall of 2012 because of his Sept 5th bday.

Jax loves his teacher. Her name is Ms. Sandra. She has been teaching for 37 years (I’m praying she won’t retire for at least a year and a half:0) and has a masters in speech pathology. She is a sweet, hip, grandmotherly type lady that just loves on and hugs Jax when she sees him. She has gotten me a special pass to park in the teachers parking lot and enter the school from the back at anytime without question. Not that I intend to be checking up… it’s just the open access that makes me feel secure. She has made this whole experience great. She calls me from her cell phone to discuss things and I have her number for anything I need. There are 2 aides in his class to help the teacher with Jax and the 6 or so other kids. Right now, Jax will be going into pre-k once a week for library time with his own aide. In the future, hopefully he will do well enough to go in with the prek and kinder class more often.

Jax got a new Batman packpack for school. Every day he brings home his notebook with info about what he did that day and how he handled everything. Yesterday’s report was that he needed a little help playing with others but that he used simple sentences(which is not that common in this class) and he behaved well! So it was a great day!

Well, that’s all I got for now… I’ll soon be putting up pictures of the new pup and Kylie’s bday party..

Ashton, Kylie, and I went to our church/her school fall festival on Sat night. It was a lot of fun. The boys stayed home.. Daddy was sick.

Sunday we had dinner with Bim, Mo, and Faye.

Then we went over to Lauryn’s for trick or treating. I was thoroughly impressed with both Jackson and Kylie’s understanding of the situation. They both had a blast going to the doors, knocking, saying trick or treat and thank you, and walking away with handfuls of candy! Go figure!

Jax and Lauryn held hands all night. When they got separated they would always start hollering the others name! Too Cute!

Anyways… We survived the Plague.. that almost put little Jax-man in the hospital. All three kids and Hola came down with the most hideous of stomach viruses.. Aweful… but thankfully we are done with that!

Last week we went to the zoo with Mimi and Pops.. Kylie dressed up as a Cheetah! The kids loved the animals!

Did you know that Jax is an “elephant whisperer”? He puts his arm up in the air like a trunk and lets out some strange noises.. but they listen. Really:)

Jax went to his first Play.. Lyle Lyle Crocodile. He was AWESOME… the actors in the play stunk… bad… but he had fun. I think.

Other than that stuff..

Ash is struggling a little in her new school.. fitting in and finding new friends.. and learning to be a 5th grader. 5th grade is so different than 4th grade and at this school even more so. They actually have to keep up with their own school work and books… and aren’t babied anymore… She’ll learn and she’ll make friends.. She’s smart and sweet(most of the time)! She started out trying to be friends with the wrong girls. Some snoody girls who had been friends since babies and weren’t going to accept newbies. So I’m encouraging her to take another approach and search for better friends who are sweet.. more like her..

• Currently she is in the school Choir. They sing at Mass every Wednesday.
• She tried out for PSIA spelling bee and made it. I think there were only 6 out of 4th and 5th grade that made it. She starts practice next week and the competition is in April. She’s a fantabulous speller naturally so I think she’ll do well.
• Basketball is starting soon at school and she wants to play.. So we’ll see.

Kylie is almost freaking 2! Where has the time gone… She’s talking so much lately… I couldn’t even make a list of her words because she will repeat anything you tell her to… Some of my favorites are:

• “Choppit Milt” = Chocolate Milk
• “Bubba Did it”
• “No tank you”
• “No miiiiiiiiiiiine”
• “Mimmy Mouse” – Minnie Mouse – her favorite show
• “watch a mooney peeze?” – Watch a Movie Please? – She always starts hollering this from the back seat as soon as I start the car.. little turd!
• “what is it?”

Jackson is doing much better. He’s matured a lot in the last 6 months. He’s eating a little better and trying new things. I’ve been working with him on a lot of things. He does really well as long as you keep him busy… down time = destruction. He has his ABC’s and 123′s down very well.. though he is not an “on demand” performer! He has the entire, “blessing” memorized for dinner time. It’s really cute.. I’ll have to get a video.  We are going to start speech therapy again soon… and then I’m going to start looking into preschool / mothers day outs for him.. though I’m scared after the last ordeal.

Well I think that’s about it for now…

Scentsy candles are wickless candles that warm the awesome smelling wax with a low watt light bulb instead of fire.. We all know how flame and Jax don’t mix, so you can see why this would appeal to me. I fell in love with the products that I saw at a friends house and saw an opportunity to help out with the finances without having to put my kiddos in daycare. I can schedule my own hours and even bring the kids along. Also, this presents a great chance for me to meet other adults.. and for me not to be so lost in this “Dora/Deigo, SpongeBobby, Elmoy” world that has almost caused me to jump off a cliff on several occasions…

How it works.. I will be taking orders online.. Hosting parties at my house a little.. but hopefully I’ll be helping out other people hosting their own parties – mostly. It’s really a great gig… Let’s just see what I can do with it.. I have a great feeling…

So help me out.. If you know someone who loves candles or a lot of someones… let me know.. Host a party for me and you can earn some candles.. If you aren’t the party type, but have an office full of women who love candles and good smelling stuff… you could have a basket party.. where I’d give you samples, catalogs, and business cards and you’d take them to work with you and take orders… you could earn hostess rewards that way too…

Ok.. that’s my spill…. I promise not to be that annoying friend that’s always asking you to come to this or buy that… I’ve said my piece now you can come to me if you need me.. you know where to find me..

Next door we saw deer. There were about 4 times this many when we first drove up.. but by the time I got the picture the rest had scattered!:(

Jax got a Spider Man bike from Mimi and Pops for his birthday. He was so happy! He loves the bell on it.. He says that is how he calls Spider Man when he is in trouble! So cute!

The pinata was a blast. All the kiddos took ALOT of swings at it.. I think Ashton and her friends finished it off!

A pirate has to have a treasure hunt! I read the kids clues and they found this treasure that was guarded by crocs and crazy monkeys. Unfortunately, about 20 minutes into the party Jax and Lauryn found the treasure and were caught hiding eating it! Oh well! They still had fun, searching for it.. the second time! haha Not sure what happened to my pictures of it hidden.. but use your imagination!

Jax kept going on and on about how Daddy needed them so I snapped this picture and sent it to Kev. Jackson insisted… Well we went on with our shopping and I thought that was the end of it.

BUT I WAS WRONG!

After putting all of the contents on the counter at checkout.. Jax noticed that the “SuperMan Panties” were not there. He started protesting, very loudly, that “Mommy you forgot those SuperMan panties for Daddy. He needs them for your annibursury. He needs them.” We had to have a whole argument as to why Daddy didn’t need them and why I wasn’t going to go back and get them.

I guess he had heard us talking about how it was our Anniversary and seen us exchanging gifts and cards, etc. So he decided that Daddy was in need of some Superman Panties.. It was cute.. and a little embarrassing. Everyone around us got a good laugh… but inside they were probably scared and wondering what my husband needs “Superman Panties” for.. or why the poor kid knows that daddy wears “SuperMan Panties.” I’m blushing… just thinking about it!!

To Kev’s defense…. SpiderMan would be more his style, not SuperMan!! Ha Ha!

Grandad came for a visit.

Kevin had a birthday and we made a chocolate coconut cake. Jackson tried to steal some when he thought we weren’t looking!

Ashton went to camp and had a great time. She made a lot of new friends. It’s an awesome Christian camp. I’m always amazed and the time, effort, and love that they put into this camp for the kids. If you are looking for an awesome  place to send your kids… Sky Ranch is AMAZING! I hope that Ashton will want to be a counselor there when she is college age. Such a neat opportunity to serve others.

And then… Ashton had her back to school picnic at her new school. It was actually a lot of fun. They do A LOT of family activities through out the year.. I’m really looking forward to this new start.

And then…

I’ve learned from the goat.. that sometime there’s no need to argue. He offers a simple solution to my parenting problem. When my kids yell at me or argue with me.. This is what they get. When people who will not take no for an answer cross my path they will now get “the goat.” Telemarketers beware when calling my house!

Try it the next time someone someone argues with you. Try it at work! It’s guaranteed to stop them in their tracks.

He has only had a few minor accidents, but he seems to be getting it now! It’s so exciting. I’ve even taken him in public with out a pull up on and felt confident! So everyone do a happy dance with me.. and congratulate him next time you see him.  It’s a huge huge huge HUGE deal. I mean he’s almost 4. This is huge!

Kylie’s doing great too. It comes so natural for her. She’s actually teaching Jax. She’ll be out of pull ups soon too!
