The movie Chronicle looks so good that I almost don't want to see it just in case it winds up being a steamer.

You can't go past a nifty piece viral marketing and if you a) live in New York City, and b) had your eyes akimbo last Friday (January 27, 2011) you may have bore witness to what appeared to be three people flying overhead.

James Percelay from Thinkmodo, a company that specialise in viral marketing campaigns, told Yahoo Movies, that the 'people' were actually six feet tall, four pound remote controlled aircraft.

"The planes are highly sophisticated dacron/carbon fiber,
battery-powered, radio-controlled units," adding that they "light and delicate as
potato chips."

Yes, one of them did take a dive into the Hudson and was fished out by the water authorities.

Cocktail: Alien Brain Hemorrhage.

Looking for an impressive way to get totally smacked up this weekend?

My I enlighten you to the cocktail-y delight that is the Alien Brain Hemorrhage

Here's what's included:

Peach schnapps

Bailey’s Irish Cream

Blue curacao

Grenadine syrup

Throw it all together and it congeals to form this hideous looking concoction.

Too many though and it could result in this.

Akai has long been at the forefront of music creation until recently and some of their older machines have produced the majority of hip hop beats over the past decade or so.

However, in 2012 the company want to reclaim their crown and have created a contraption that allows any Tom, Dick or Kanye to produce music.

The MPC Fly hooks up to your iPad 2 (in a protective case no less) and enables the user to create music wherever he/she wants to via an app that comes with the pad.

Pricing is yet to be announced, but more information and an instructional video can be found here.

Snoring Mouse.
Superbowl Sunday is almost upon us and with it brings an onslaught of companies pushing their wares on an unassuming public and spending enough money to cure AIDS in the process.

Honda has dropped their ad for the CRV and in it, Matthew Broderick resurrects his Ferris Bueller persona.

In this instance Broderick plays a sick actor who scams a day off from shooting his flick and is
a great homage to the John Hughes classic, recreating a bunch of the originals pivotal scenes.

"I ended up thinking it might be amusing," Broderick told Vulture. "I guess I'm part of a virus."

Next year Honda plans to follow it up with a campaign based on one of Broderick's other successful movies...

Inflatable R2D2.

Fans of Star Wars can expect a raging nerd boner once they hit play on the above clip.

Bladez Toys RC unveiled their jumbo, inflatable, remote controlled R2D2 at the 2012 Toy Fair in London.

Standing at 26 inches tall (65cm), it's due to go on sale later this year at bladeztoyz.co.uk for around $60 bucks.

The company are also planning on releasing Darth
Vader, Stormtrooper and Yoda editions too.

Saddest thing is, writing this made me think there would have to be a market for a life size inflatable Princess Leia sex doll... and there is.
I've never understood how someone can live in a tight knit community and act like a complete d*ck without a blatant care to those around them.

Unfortunately, over the years I've found myself living right next door to these people and wished I'd have discovered this CD title earlier.

Revenge contains such delightful gems as a drill, a noisy house party, a baby screaming, violin practice, drums and inhuman screams.

It also comes complete with a set of ear plugs, so pop it on, push the earplugs in and blast the sh*t out of the d*ckwads nextdoor!

Buy it from Neatoshop.

Urban Climbing.

I'm not sure if I'm waiting for this guy to <strike>stupidly</strike> successfully navigate his way to the top of the building via it's externals, or I'm hanging out to see him lose his footing and plummet to an untimely death.
Either way, this sport is called 'Urban Climbing', which I believe is derived from the Albanian phrase 'Complete Douchery.'

The Ultimate Cupcake.
Star Wars Uncut: The Directors Cut is the brainchild of director Casey Pugh.

From The Huffington Post:

"In 2009, director Casey Pugh and her team cut the original film (Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope) into
473, 15-second clips. Fans chose from the selections and refilmed them
however they chose, and the "Star Wars Uncut" team stitched it back
together with the fan-made renditions they hand-selected. Fans were
inventive in their rethinkings of the scenes, with everything from
tweets and illustrations to groups of people reenacting scenes in their
living room, resulting in the impressive "Star Wars" patchwork quilt you
see below."

Disney/Pixar has a track record like no other.

When it came time to cast the voice of Russell in Up, the producers didn't want a kid who could act (or one that had been pushed into it by parents who never made a name for themselves and are now living vicariously through their child), they just wanted a regular, run-of-the-mill kid.

Enter Jordan Nagai...

This behind the scenes feature shows how they helped Jordan craft the voice and character of Russell.
The Pea Car was originally created for a BirdsEye Pea television commercial in 2005.

According to info we tracked down, "The Pea car was custom made and took six weeks to build. It is based on
the chassis of an off-road go-kart and its head lamps are from a VW
Beetle. Its indicators are from a Lancia. All the rest is bespoke (custom made)."

Artists can set their own price, or give it away and is similar to the Radiohead experiment from a few years ago, where they offered their album In Rainbows for free, but if you wanted to contribute you could.

Sure, there's the obvious scabs, but Bandcamp claims to have paid out over a million dollars to artists in the past 30 days.

The Slakadeliqs are our latest discovery (via @Drake) and it's an amazing album.

Second Class Citizens.
People who don't believe in equal rights for all should spend a day in the life of someone who is negated those rights.

In 50 years we'll look back on the gay rights movement with the same shock and embarrassment that we do with the rights of black people.

Everyone is the same, what makes us different is ignorance.

Ryan James Yezak is producing a documentary called Second Class Citizens. He writes:

"A second class citizen is defined as: a person whose rights and opportunities are treated as less important than those of other people in the same society. There are many areas in which gays, lesbians and bisexuals do not have the same rights and opportunities as others in society. We must change this now."

Here is the office of one of the greatest minds of all time, Albert Einstein.

This photo was taken on the day he died, 18th April 1955.

His brain was preserved in the hope that one day, science can determine how and why he was so smart.
