आज रोजगार उपलब्ध झाला ,तर भविष्यात कधी रोजगार उपलब्ध होईल याची काळजी कुटुंबातील कर्त्या व्यक्तिपुढे रहते. (रोजगारच्या कमी संधी )आशा परिस्थितीत कुटुंबाचे पालन पोषण करणे कठिन होते,अणि गरीबीची चाहुल सुरु होते. गरीबीमुळे इच्छा नसतानाही आपल्या गरजा,स्वप्नांना मुरड घालावी लागते.कोणाला वाटत नहीं की,"माझी जीवनशैली एखाद्या लोकप्रिय खेळाडू ,अभिनेत्या सारखी असावी" परंतु गरीब व्यक्ति हे करू शकत नहीं.

गरिबी: भारता पुढील एक आव्हान

जाणून घेऊया "काय आहे गरिबी"?

सी. रंगराजन समिति सांगते :-
१. शहरातील व्यक्तिने एक महिन्यात आपल्या गरजा पूर्ण करण्यासाठी ज्या आवश्यक वस्तूंची खरेदी केली, त्या वस्तूंची खरेदी करण्यासाठी जर १४०६.९६ किंवा त्याहून कमी खर्च झला असेल ( म्हणजेच दिवसाला ४६.८९ खर्च) तर ती व्यक्ति गरीब किंवा दारिद्र्यरेषेखाली आहे;असे समजावे.
२. ग्रामीण भागातील व्यक्तिने एक महिन्यात आपल्या गरजा पूर्ण करण्यासाठी ज्या आवश्यक वस्तूंची खरेदी केली त्या वस्तूंची खरेदी करण्यासाठी जर ९७२.३० किंवा त्याहून कमी खर्च झला असेल ( म्हणजेच दिवसाला ३२.४१ खर्च) तर ती व्यक्ति गरीब किंवा दारिद्र्यरेषेखाली आहे ;असे समजावे.
२००९-२०१० -शहरामधील गरीबी गुणोत्तर ३५.१% होती तर लोकसंख्या १२८.७ (लक्ष्य) होती.
तर ग्रामीण भागातिल गरीबी गुणोत्तर ३९.६% होती तर लोकसंख्या ३२५ .९ (लक्ष्य) होती.
२०११ -२०१२ -शहरामधील गरीबी गुणोत्तर २६.४ % होती तर लोकसंख्या १०२.५ (लक्ष्य) होती.
तर ग्रामीण भागातिल गरीबी गुणोत्तर ३०.९ होती तर लोकसंख्या २६०.५ (लक्ष्य) होती.

२०११-२०१२ मध्ये २९.५% म्हणजेच ३६.३ कोटी लोक दारिद्र्य रेषेखाली होते.

प्रत्यक १० व्यक्ती मागे 3 व्यक्ती गरीब आहेत.

गरिबीचे कारणे

१.लोकसंख्या विस्फोट

२०११च्या जनगणनेनुसार भारताची लोकसंख्या १,२१०,८५४,९७७+ एवढी मोठ्या प्रमाणात वाढली आहे.

२०१०-११मध्ये लोकसंख्या वृद्धीदर ८.९१% होता.

२०११-१२मध्ये वृद्धीदरात घाट होऊन ६.६९ पर्यंत आला.

२०१२-१३मध्ये वृद्धीदर ४.४७% होता.

२०१३-१४ मध्ये वृद्धीदर ४.७% पर्यंत पोहचला.

वृद्धीदर थोड्याफार प्रमाणात नियंत्रणात आला असला तरी एवढ्या मोठ्या लोकसंख्येचे नियोजन आणि जीवनावश्यक सोयी सुविधा पुरविणे कठीण होते.लोकसंख्यावाढीमुळे बेरोजगारीचे प्रमाण वाढते. मुलगा हा वंशाचा दिवा असतो व मुलगी हि आपला वंश चालू शकत नाही या मागासलेल्या विचारांमुळे भारतामध्ये कुटुंब नियोजन पद्धतीचा प्रचार आणि प्रसार योग्य पद्धतीने झाला नाही.

२.हवामान बदल

हवामान बदल हि भारताचीच नाही तर जगाची समस्या आहे.

भारत हा कृषिप्रधान देशआहे.एकूण लोकसंख्येच्या ५४%लोक शेती करतात.परंतु हवामान बदलामुळे भारतामध्ये पाऊसाचे प्रमाण कमी झाले आहे.भारतात बहुसंख्य लोकांचे उपजीविकेचे साधन शेती असल्यामुळे; येथे मोठ्या प्रमाणात बेरोजगारी ,तसेच अन्नधान्याची कमतरता जाणवते.याचा परिणाम अप्रत्यक्षरित्या उपन्नावर होतो.

३.बेरोजगारी

बेरोजगारी एक भीषण समस्या.

बेरोजगारी वर मत करण्यासाठी काही तरी मार्ग काढणे गरजेचे आहे.

भारतामध्ये बेरोजगारी २०१६मध्ये १७.७ दश लक्ष्य होती.२०१७ मध्ये १७.८ ने वाढ झाली.म्हणजेच 3.४%बेरोजगारी आहे.

गरिबी हि सहजतेने न संपणारी अशी संकल्पना आहे;ती संकल्पना पूर्ण करण्यासाठी लोकसंख्या नियंत्रण,बेरोजगारी,नियोजनाची पूर्व तयारी मूलभूत शिक्षण,आरोग्य सुविधा,या सर्वांची सांगड बसने अत्यांत गरजेची बाब आहे.
