Amazing 2D Rubens’ Tube Visualizes Sound With a Plane of Fire

German physicist Heinrich Rubens became a living legend in 1905 when he invented a tube that uses fire to visualize sound waves. When there's no sound in the tube, the flames rise to the same height. But, when a sound is added, the wave affects the amount of gas that is fed through each hole and causes different flame heights to be visible.

Derek Muller from Veritasium traveled to Denmark to check out an updated version of the Rubens tube. The physicists and chemists here have developed an device with 2,500 holes in the top. The difference is that these holes are not all in a line like a traditional Rubens tube, but actually cover a plane. "The Pyro Board"

NASA Discovers Hidden Portals In Earth’s Magnetic Field

Our planet has come a long way in scientific breakthroughs and discoveries. Mainstream science is beginning to discover new concepts of reality that have the potential to change our perception about our planet and the extraterrestrial environment that surrounds it forever. Star gates, wormholes, and portals have been the subject of conspiracy theories and theoretical physics for decades, but that is all coming to an end as we continue to grow in our understanding about the true nature of our reality.

In physics, a wormhole was a hypothetical feature of space time that would be a shortcut through space-time. We often wonder how extraterrestrials could travel so far and this could be one of many explanations. Although scientists still don’t really understand what they have found, it does open the mind to many possibilities.

Turning science fiction into science fact seems to happen quite often these days and NASA did it by announcing the discovery of hidden portals in Earth’s magnetic field. NASA calls them X-points or electron diffusion regions. They are places where the magnetic field of Earth connects to the magnetic field of the Sun, which in turn creates an uninterrupted path leading from our own planet to the sun’s atmosphere which is 93 million miles away.

NASA used its THEMIS spacecraft, as well as a European Cluster probe, to examine this phenomenon. They found that these portals open and close dozens of times each day. It’s funny, because there is a lot of evidence that points toward the sun being a giant star gate for the ‘gods’ to pass back and forth from other dimensions and universes. The portals that NASA has discovered are usually located tens of thousands of kilometres from Earth and most of them are short-lived; others are giant, vast and sustained.

As far as scientists can determine, these portals aid in the transfer of tons of magnetically charged particles that flow from the Sun causing the northern and southerns lights and geomagnetic storms. They aid in the transfer of the magnetic field from the Sun to the Earth. In 2014, the U.S. space agency will launch a new mission called Magnetospheric Multi scale Mission (MMS) which will include four spacecraft that will circle the Earth to locate and then study these portals. They are located where the Earth and the Sun’s magnetic fields connect and where the unexplained portals are formed.

NASA funded the University of Iowa for this study, and they are still unclear as to what these portals are. All they have done is observed charged particles flowing through them that cause electro-magnetic phenomenon in Earth’s atmosphere.

The BBC reported building 7 collapse 20 minutes before it happened

Tony Rooke refused to pay a TV license fee because the BBC intentionally misrepresented facts about the 9/11 attacks, he alleged. It is widely known that the BBC reported the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 over 20 minutes before it occurred. WTC 7 was a 47-story skyscraper that was not hit by a plane on 9/11 but collapsed at free-fall speed later that day.

So Rooke said the BBC had to have had prior knowledge to a terror attack making them complicit in the attack. He presented the BBC footage to the judge along with a slew of other evidence, and the judge agreed that Rooke had a reasonable case to protest. Rooke was found not guilty and he was not fined for failure to pay the licensing fee.

For all intents and purposes a UK ccourt has just ruled that the BBC was complicit in the september 11th, 2001 attacks in the United States. Fantastic. A small victory but a huge symbolic victory and one you would have never otherwised have heard of. So I suggest to you the reader to get the word out on this one. Spread it far and wide. Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has revealed more information on his top-secret Hyperloop, a vehicle he says will take passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in a mere half hour.

The Tesla Motors co-founder called the fast train “a cross between a Concorde and a railgun and an air hockey table” at the D11 Conference earlier this year. The pneumatic tube train system will be “twice as fast as what an average aircraft can do.” Once constructed, the Hyperloop will leave as soon as passengers board as opposed to running on a strict schedule. The train will also be weather immune which might put a damper on some people who still enjoy the occasional snow day. Some are calling Musk’s idea pure insanity, but others including physicist Brian Dodson of Gizmag, are willing to give the Hyperloop a chance after examining all of its parts.

Dodson ruled out two theories that the Hyperloop will use a vacuum tunnel or a launch loop that accelerates vehicles electromagnetically along a cable system. Instead, he believes Musk’s proposal is actually “a pneumatic transport system that consists of a closed tube making loops between Los Angeles and San Francisco” according to Discovery News. Essentially, passengers will ride in capsules within the tube similar to pneumatic tubes at bank drive-throughs. “Even if I’m sort of wrong about the economic assumptions behind the Hyperloop, it would still be a really fun ride,” Musk said at the conference. Since August 2012, a giant sinkhole belching oil and gas has been growing in Assumption Parish, Louisiana. Over 350 people have since been ordered to leave their homes. On August 21 2013, a further collapse at the edge of the hole caused a clump of trees to vanish in seconds.

A sinkhole on Chicago's Southeast Side swallowed three cars early Thursday morning and sent one person to the hospital.

A sinkhole swallowed three cars on Chicago's Southeast Side, WGN-TV reported early Thursday morning.

One person was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, the Chicago Fire Department told the news station.

According to a report by the Chicago Tribune, the fire department responded around 5:30 a.m., and two cars were already inside the hole. A third one reportedly slid into it after crews arrived.
