I wish there was a before picture of how shitacular my desktop was earlier. I have that really bad habit of saving everything to the desktop until there isn’t a pixel of space left. Kind of like my actual desk top. Right now there is a stack of books and comics, tiny bottles of Malibu Rum (still full, BTW), fish oil caplets from yesterday’s grocery shopping, bobbleheads, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Yes, I have problems with desk tops and desktops and clutter.

The taskbar used to be at the top of the screen, which I don’t recommend unless you absolutely hate yourself and want to make selecting the File menu on every program the most difficult thing in the world. Don’t do it. Just. Don’t. Do. It.

Top it all off with a simple Alienware background because I can’t stand the Wreck-It Ralph background anymore. It was cute, but it made my eyes bleed.

On an unrelated note, my Star Wars photoshop from yesterday’s Panels on Pages article made it onto Star Wars vs Disney pictures: Our top 25 Twitter memes on the Daily Mirror. I can add “professional memeist” to my resume now.

If it’s any consolation, I mention Life Day and Boonta Eve. And Lowbacca. And Em Teedee. And I don’t start sentences with “and” because I’m professional, yo.

Thing #2:  I haven’t done a damn thing on this blog, but I’ve been getting shit done over at Panels on Pages. Plus, NaNoWriMo is coming up and I’m going to participate against my better judgement. I almost want to do quick daily blogs or vlogs or whatever to document the downward spiral that will be my November.

Thing #3:  I completely forgot what thing #3 was thanks to the arrival of my beneath-the-chair writing buddy.

It took her all of three minutes to begin snoring. Life is tough at 1 AM.

A day late but it’s been a long week of working, writing, and learning how ebooks work (not surprisingly, they’re more complicated than they seem). There was one thing that got me through this week: CUTE ANIMAL VIDEOS.

Many thanks to Facebook for the above picture and my newfound obsession with fwuffy wittle Pomeranians. Now I can’t stop watching videos like this one.

Then I got sucked into watching videos of baby bulldogs, because those wrinkly little things are adorable.

Somehow I ended up on a video of a baby cheetah, which is super adorable and gave me the best screenshot ever:

I know it’s a baby, but I didn’t expect it to sound like a little squeak toy. Turn down the volume on your headphones!

This last video is one that I’ve seen a few times. It’s Nylah the cat, who reminds me so much of our recently-departed cat Julie. Yes, it’s a video of a cat sleeping, and you will end up watching the whole damn thing.

Have you watched this video at least twice? Congratulations, you just wasted that chunk of your Saturday dedicated to cleaning the house. Go play some video games. You’ve earned it. ^_^

Nothing says “classy bitch” like a set of Star Trek pint glasses from Tar-zhey. I’m gonna hand wash them with love and drink Jack Dagniels from them. On the rocks. Like a classay bizzeatch. OK, I’ll stop.

Oh, and the glass that sold me? Dr. McCoy saying “I’m a doctor, not a bricklayer.” Awesome.

Spock just looks… terrifying.

This week’s theme is: HALLOWEEN COSTUMES. Yes kids, it’s time to start thinking about what kind of slutty bunny outfit you want to wear to the bar this year.

Psycho zombie Alice in Wonderland. Because it’s not enough for the Cheshire Cat to populate my nightmares. Nooo, now he’s got blood dripping from his face like some sort of goddamned face-eating purple fluffball of doom.

On a serious note: I think I’m going to switch to shopping at Publix since I can’t deal with people bashing shopping carts into my car and/or taking up whole parking spaces with carts at Winn-Dixie. It’s out of the way and more expensive, but at least they take care of the cart problem. Or maybe the people who shop there are slightly more civilized. Perhaps both.

When I was a teenager and had a lot of time on my hands, especially over the summer, I spent a lot of time using Blender and contemplating a career in 3D animation. While I loved majoring in Theatre, I can’t help but wonder what kind of career I would have had if I had formal education in 3D modeling.

This stuff is too much fun.
