ISIS has threatened to bomb New York City in a newly released video, just days after vowing to attack Washington, D.C. The video clip features shots of yellow taxis and crowds in Times Square and Herald Square in Manhattan, with vibrant French music playing in the background - a nod to the Paris terror attacks on Friday.

It then cuts to a man wrapping a bomb around his waist before walking into the crowds and pulling the trigger.

New York police have issued a statement to say they are aware of the footage.They added that there is no direct threat to the city but insist there is a 'heightened state of vigilance'.

'In addition, we are continuing to deploy additional Critical Response Command (CRC) teams throughout the City, out of an abundance of caution,' Stephen Davis, a Deputy NYPD Commissioner, said in a statement on Wednesday.

He added: 'While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target.'

The video, which runs for nearly six minutes, includes a scene that appears to show a suicide bomber making preparations and zipping up a leather jacket.

The clip shows a brief glimpse of Times Square and then of a suicide bomber holding what appears to be a trigger, it said.

There was a robbery incident at Jumofak, Ikorodu, Lagos this morning.

According to eye-witnesses, a lady was on her way to work by 6am when a thief attacked her with a dagger, gave her a cut on her left arm and collected her phones. The lady's shouts attracted people who ran after the thief & caught him. They gave him the beating of his life and handed him over to the local security agents. That is the guy in the van. Tottenham Hostspur have reportedly signed Golden Eaglets striker, Victor Osimhen. The 16 year striker was in blistering form in the just concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup where he scored a record 10 goals.

He had been linked with Tottenham immediately the competition ended and it appears that Tottenham have beaten all other interested parties to his signature.

Victor Osimhen will no doubt be encouraged by the progress of 19 year old Kelechi Iheneacho, who also joined Manchester City at 17 and has managed to become a part of the first team set up.

Seyi Shay has released a trailer of what to expect from her debut album ‘Seyi or Shay’ and it was directed by Meji Alabi.

The ominous clip which runs for just over a minute shows the singer and her dual personality, as she navigates through a haunted house in a bid to escape the voices in her head. She eventually comes face to face with her other side

The Album “Seyi or Shay” expresses the two sides of Seyi Shay and her music.

Seyi is meant to portray the homely, traditional good girl and Shay portrays her eccentric, international and outrageous side.

Judging by the two backgrounds, it begs the question of who the singer really is, since she has socialized into and become a part of one or both.

Shay has revealed that “Seyi or Shay” will feature songs produced from the likes of Harmony Samuels, TY Mix, Legendury Beatz, Del B and much more.

The album will also feature Flavour and other guest stars, and will be released on Friday, November 13.

Alhaji Gay is the number one trending topic in Nigeria right now. His real name is Razak Adetunji Alaso and before today, I'd never heard of him but apparently, he's popular within 'Yahoo Yahoo' circle in Lagos. They say he was very popular for tracking 'Yahoo' boys for the police and EFCC. Some say he was an EFCC/police imposter.

He was killed yesterday at Agbado Ijaiye, in Lagos. People in the know say there have been many attempts on his life - he's been stabbed and shot before but he survived. Yoruba Language top the lists of Uk metropolitan Police

If you want to join the UK Metropolitan police now, you must be able to speak a second language in addition to English - at least one out of 14 languages and Yoruba is one of them. The police say this is because 300 languages are spoken in London

Scotland Yard has come under fire today after placing an advert demanding that anyone wanting to join as a police officer be able to speak a second language. The Metropolitan Police wants to bolster the number of officers able to speak and understand 14 languages which are widely used across London. But the move has sparked criticism from a former officer and members of the public on Twitter.

Retired Met Police officer Chris Hobbs wrote: 'I've kept reading and re-reading it. Can't believe it. What about potential BME (black and minority ethnic) recruits who only speak English.'

After Commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe set an ambitious target of having 40 per cent of all officers from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, only 18 per cent met that criteria when the latest intake passed out in March.

According to a report published by the London Assembly Police and Crime Committee in December 2014, before the most recent recruitment campaign, only 11 per cent of officers serving in the Met were from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background, compared with approximately 40 per cent of the population of London. The current BME figure in the Met is now 12 per cent.

Members of the public also appeared less than enthusiastic about the new initiative.

Simon Holdaway tweeted: 'The Met's lack of understanding of the problems it faces is stunning', while another user wrote: 'the lunatics have finally overtaken the asylum.'

Unlike other parts of the world, rarely would a Nigerian money bag be silent with his wealth. Flaunting it and letting the world know they are bucked up is the way Nigerians roll.

This is not the case of this CEO who is worth $820 million but lives in a trailer.

He opted for the simple life by living in a trailer park instead of amansion.

Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos, can afford to buy any type of home that he likes yet he opted to live a simple lifestyle.

Hsieh, who is known as one of the most frugal millionaires in the business community, chooses to live in a Las Vegas trailer park.

However, the RV lot that the business executive calls home may differ from the the negative stereotypes associated with other trailer parks.

The 'trailers' are gorgeous silver Airstream caravans, which retail for $48,000 for a 2013 model.

Thirty homes are lined up in a neat row, each with about 200 square feet of space.

Units have two TVs, Bluetooth stereo systems and wood paneling, though the size of the showers reportedly makes it difficult for large adults to bathe.

Hsieh has nicknamed his caravan 'Llamapolis' and he shares his trailer with his pet alpaca named Marley.

The Airstream Village also includes Tumbleweed Tiny Houses, wooden RVs that have about 130 square feet and do not have couches or kitchen tables.

It was a vacant lot before he snapped it up and it's virtually unrecognizable since its makeover.

What Obama And Buhari Discussed During The Meeting-Photos

In the first official encounter of the politicians, President Obama characterized his Nigerian colleague as a “man of integrity”.

Speaking further about the role of Nigeria on the African continent, Obama was quoted as saying by Adesina:

“Wherever Nigeria goes, Africa goes. The continent’s destiny is tied to Nigeria’s.”

The American president stressed the importance of keeping Nigeria united, because a divided country can never succeed

“Turn the diversity of Nigeria to source of strength.”

Regarding the battle against Boko Haram insurgency, Obama advised Buhari to combine military action with social and economic programmes.

According to Sahara Reporters Obama expressed confidence:

“President Buhari has a very clear agenda of defeating Boko Haram and extremists of all sorts… and of rooting out the corruption that has too often held back the economic growth and prosperity of his country.”

Premium Times also reports with reference to Barack Obama that the US will partner with Nigeria so that the country “ends up being not only an anchor of prosperity and stability in the eastern part of the continent, but can also be an outstanding role model for developing countries around the world”.

He also said that he would discuss with Buhari the most effective ways of cooperation to end insurgency and how the American side can help Nigeria.

He further pledged US commitment to cooperating with Nigeria as long as the country “remains on course”.

“It is a great pleasure to welcome President Buhari and his delegation here in the White House for his first visit since the historic election that took place. Nigeria is obviously one of the most important countries in the world; one of the most important countries in the African continent.

“President Buhari came into office with reputation for integrity and a very clear agenda: that is to make sure that he brings safety, security and peace to his country. He is very concerned about the spread and the violence that is taking place there and the atrocities and has a very clear agenda in defeating Boko Haram and extremists.

“I want to emphasise how much I appreciate President Buhari’s work so far. I have seen him put together a team, so we can do everything that we can to help him succeed and help the people of Nigeria succeed.”

Obama also promised that his country would continue to assist Nigeria in ensuring political stability in the country, Africa and the world.

Apart from that, the American leader addressed members of Buhari’s entourage, urging the five accompanying governors, so as other officials, to assist President Buhari.

The Nigerian leader, on his part, thanked his colleague for the invitation and said that it was partially diplomatic pressure from the US and international community that helped Nigeria conduct democratic elections.

Arrested SA preacher who ‘fed his members snakes’ has been released on bail

First off, this South African pastor got arrested not because he encouraged his congregation to ingest live snakes but because he was ‘cruel’ to the snakes.

And now, he has been granted bail.

The Pretoria prophet has been released on R1,500 bail.

Times Live reported that the charges were laid by the Tshwane SPCA and that the controversial preacher would probably appear in the Ga-Rankuwa magistrate’s court on Monday on charges of cruelty to animals.

The SPCA confirmed last week that they intended to open a case of animal cruelty against him.

The preacher from Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, told inspectors he does not keep animals but picks them up whenever he finds them.

He even admitted to feeding lizards to his flock.

Pictures of Prophet Penuel Mnguni of End Times Disciples Ministries feeding a live snake to one of his followers went viral last week.

The prophet allegedly told members of his church that the snakes would taste like chocolate.

While many young people are striving to make a life for themselves, some deranged ones are busy being nuisances.

That is exactly what came to mind when a witness sent in this photo of a sex-crazed young man identified as Akinbobola Taiwo Oluwa, who was caught red handed having sex with a goatsomewhere in Ogun State.

Those who caught him made sure he suffered from the humiliation as he was made to continue the act in the full glare of a mob. He was only rescued by some elders in the community who handed him over to the police.

Explosion rocks Jos; Many feared dead

An explosion has reportedly rocked a church in Jos, Plateau state, today, Sunday, July 12.

According to Premium Times, the incident occurred at ECWA church in Tudunwa, Angwan yashi, near the Federal Secretariat in Jos. Leadership reports that it was a twin explosion.

An eye witness characterized the explosion as “massive” and the sound from it as very loud. The death toll is feared to be high as there were a lot of worshippers present at the service.

The tragedy comes shortly after the July 5 twin explosion in Jos, which claimed dozens of lives. A week ago a church on the outskirts on Potiskum, Yobe state, was attacked.

Condemning the renewed attacks by insurgents on places of worship, the presidency said:

“Nigerians are a very religious people and President Buhari believes that the terrorists who wantonly attack our places of worship have willfully declared war on all that we value, and must therefore be confronted with all our might and collective resolve.”

Officials are yet to comment on the Sunday incident.

Pres.Buhari Approves N400bn For Workers Salaries

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a comprehensive relief package valued at over N400bn to put an end to the lingering crisis of unpaid workers’ salaries in the country.

source gathered that a three-pronged relief package that will end the workers plight include:

*The sharing of about $2.1b (N413.7bn) in fresh allocation between the states and the federal government. The money is sourced from recent LNG proceeds to the federation account, and its release okayed by the president;

*A Central Bank-packaged special intervention fund that will offer financing to the states, ranging from between N250bn to N300bn. This would be a soft loan available to states to access for the purposes of paying backlog of salaries;

* And a debt relief program proposed by the Debt Management Office, DMO, which will help states restructure their commercial loans currently put at over N660bn, and extend the life span of such loans while reducing their debt-servicing expenditures.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s hospice is in “lock down mode” following the leaking of a photo of her in her hospital bed.

The 22-year-old aspiring actress was found five months ago face down and unresponsive in a bath tub and security has been increased at her treatment facility after someone allegedly took a photograph of her in her hospital bed.

A source told RadarOnline.com: “Everyone has to check their purses or bags at the nurse’s station. They are making sure that each person that comes to see Krissy is fully checked and that they aren’t sneaking anything into the room.”

Earlier in the week, various news outlet reported that they had been offered a photograph taken of Bobbi Kristina by an “extended family member” in exchange for money.
