I Don't Believe in Diets, but I DO Believe in This | Intermittent Fasting... because it works!

I despise the word “diet”. I don’t diet. I never have. I don’t subscribe to diets as a means to losing weight because they do not work.

But I accidentally realized recently while reading about Intermittent Fasting, that it's an eating schedule I've kept for almost 20 years now, which allows me to eat whatever I want and what has probably kept me the same weight and size now as I was in high school.

Lake House Update: Nautical Beachy Guest Room Finished with a Fresh Coat of Sherwin Williams Blue Paint...

I was so excited to get to participate in this Sherwin-Williams makeover project because I really hadn't planned on spending too much more time {or money} on this particular room. As far as I was concerned, it was done enough for a guest room {see the before photos here}, but this was the perfect motivation to push me to finish it, and I'm SO happy I did. It's really brilliant how different a few coats of paint can make a space look!

Not much on this wall {below} changed at all from the before post photos, only the wall color, yet it looks like a completely different room.

The bed frame & linens, table lamps, and round circles mirror came from our old master bedroom. The darker roped side table {below} was a pseudo-coffee/accent table in our first condo's living room and the other basket storage ottoman {that I'm using as a side table on the opposite side ~see above} was an offering from drollgirl ages ago. And, while they're both a bit short to be used as bedside tables, I think for a guest room, they suffice.

Like I said in my "before" post, I'm not usually too paint-happy in my houses, but this light blue paint choice really cast a pretty blue hue over the entire space and is so refreshing but relaxing at the same time, I just love it. I find myself making a trip upstairs and wandering down the long hallway for no other reason than to just look at the room, again. And, it's made me want to paint a few other rooms as well! I had just recently installed the double bamboo shades and hung the round circles mirror above the bed. But what the room really needed was a great floor covering, a few pieces to fill the walls, and some beachy tchotchkes for a final touch.

Along with the paint Sherwin-Williams provided, they also offered a little shopping budget, so I could purchase a few items to help decorate and finish the space. And, I really only needed a few things to tie it all together... I found and bought the Jaipur Blue Striped Vida Hand-Woven Flatweave Rug at at GILT sale, picked up the nautical striped decorative pillow and woven waste basket from a local shop up here called The Lake House, which I am in love with, grabbed the potted succulents at the local nursery and purchased the faux coral decorative piece from Amazon.

I happen to have a bit of a nautical/beach theme downstairs in the great room as well, so I grabbed a few pieces from there and with my newly purchased faux coral and vintage shells {that were my mom's} I was able to tie the room together with very little cost. I also grabbed some colorfully beachy glass bottles from the mud room that I wasn't really using and lined the window sill with them. They may be a little much for actual functionality of the room, but they looked so pretty with the light shining through I couldn't help but leave them there.

And because our budget was small, I DIY'd the roped pendant ceiling lamp to simply disguise the {ugly} standard ceiling fixture and finish the room and I love, love, LOVE the result! The entire lamp project only cost me about $20 and I didn't have to re-wire anything!

I found the large fallen tree branch on a recent hike and was giddy to be able to use it in this space where it fit perfectly! The rope came from a few nautical wall mirrors I bought for the kitchen, which arrived broken, so I untied the rope that was attached to it, unraveled and wrapped it around the large hanging tree branch, and knotted another strand and hung it from the doorknob. I also randomly happened upon the framed palm print {below} lying all wrapped up in the garage the other day and realized it was the perfect shade of deep chocolate brown to tie in the dark brown leather bed on the opposite wall. It was an old print I thought wasn't going to make it into this space, but I was really happy to find this because it fit the room perfectly.

I left the wall that the TV is on bare because we may end up mounting that flatscreen, so I didn't need to create extra holes for no reason. And, besides, I really didn't want to overwhelm the space any more than I needed to. The main idea is that it's relaxing for our guests and promotes a great night's sleep.

I'm really so happy with the color I chose {Sherwin-Williams "Icelandic"} for this room. The shade is perfectly centered in the middle of bold and relaxing and finished the space perfectly. With the light filtering through the window during the day, and at night with the rays of the pendant lamp shooting onto the ceiling, it's just perfect and happens to be the only "finished" room in the house. I think I need Sherwin-Williams to help me finish the rest of the house now ;)

LeRoy is such a ham, he just cannot stand being left out of the photos {unless of course, I'm trying to actually take a photo of HIM, then he's all over the place}. But I think he loves the new room as much as I do.

Thoughts and Things | Loves and Links

I thought I'd try something new this week and rather than tweet every ridiculous thought I had, I'd write it down in the notes on my iPhone and share it here in a post along with things I've found and loved on the internet as of late. It's easy to get lost in a sea of social media from Twitter to Facebook, Pinterest to Instagram, so I thought maybe having it all in one place could be a fun little feature right here in this space. Besides, it will help me clear all this clutter off my desktop.

Maybe weekly is too much, but every other week could work? I'll let you be the judge.

Thoughts and Things...

1. Why do I always think back on all that I've done wrong instead of how much I've done right?

2. I cannot get through a single episode of Downton Abbey without falling asleep. I'm on episode four of Season 1 and I honestly haven't made it through a one. Should I keep trying? Does it get better? AM I THE ONLY WOMAN ON EARTH WHO DOESN'T LIKE THIS SHOW?

3. I miss Sex and the City... I realized the other night while watching a SATC marathon.

4. It drives me crazy when a woman refers to loving her "it bag" because it's so functional. A canvas backpack is functional and it costs about $34 dollars. Stop lying.

5. Farts are always funny... I thought while watching The Whole 9 Yards, giggling as I was trying to fall asleep.

6. Some days are diamonds. Some days are rocks. They can't all be diamonds, can they?

7. I hate saying the words: Ikat, Ombre, and Niche... especially neeeeeeeeeesh. blech.

8. If you're not open to the truth about who you are, then you're not open to growth and evolving as a human.

9. Sometimes I think I'm as big of an asshole as Seth MacFarlane. And sometimes I'm totally okay with that.

10. I don't think anyone understands just how great it is to be young until they're old.

11. Just because you win an argument doesn't make you right.

12. It's easy to sit at the helm when the weather is fine {my horoscope via Bazaar May 2013 mag}

13. I'm thinking about cutting my hair... like a lot.

Mother's Day with My Mom | Repurposed Family Jewels

What We're Wearing...

* Old dress from Forever21 {2007 I think} that always makes me look pregnant but I love it because it's so comfortable.
* Light weight denim shirt {tied} by Madewell
* I'm wearing Crocs Ocean Minded Espadrilla Slip On in navy {um so comfy} and mom's wearing Crocs A-Leigh Linen Wedge in parrot green.

* Hair is wet and tangled and pulled up to dry {sometimes I just don't care~most times really, lol}

My mom drove up for a visit on Mother's Day and we had such a nice day ;) I was even willing to drive down into the LA heat to see her but she opted to get out of the heat and have a mini getaway in our guest room and we always love having her.

I'd been DYING to give her her Mother's Day gift for months and couldn't wait to see her face when she opened it...

I had a diamond and sapphire ring passed down from my grandma {my mom's mom}, which was beautiful, but not really my style. It wasn't horrible but it was set in the early 80's and stood up really high and would get caught on everything when I wore it. It also seems like all the jewels skipped my mom and went right to me, so I decided to share the wealth and use the stones from my grandma's old ring to create two new identical rings that my mom and I could wear separately but that would sort of unite all three of us together.

Happy Mother's Day to Mamas of humans and pets alike!

I found two gorgeous Lilac bushes all a'bloom on our property whence Spring hath sprung, but it wasn't until just yesterday {and inspired by the Budget Babe on instagram} that I realized I could snip a few dozen and bring them inside. Bebop was just heading out for his walk'n roll with the husband and stopped by to smell the flowers. They are divine!

1. My mother in law and her brother drove up for a quick visit on Friday-Sat and before leaving she gave me this gorgeous gold and turquoise necklace and ring {which belonged to her mother in law /if I can remember correctly :/}. Jewels handed down from generations past are the most meaningful. So grateful.
2. Bedtime bun... I'm trying to get more "selfies" in, but I rarely think of it. I have to remind myself to do it and sometimes that means at bedtime, lol
3. Hottest "old is new" makeup trend: Brightly Colored Mascaras. There are so many designers and brands offering chic blues, violet purples, and deep greens as well as super fun bright pinks, electric blues, and even a few neon limes and aquas by Chanel. 4. Rebecca Minkoff Ragini Slide Sandals which I LOVE though they are a little higher than they appear and put my leg at awkwardly unflattering angle... sadly I may be sending them back.

Last week's matchy matchy pink and aqua outfit...

1. The husband and I decided it was a McDonald's dinner kind night and drove to the Village in the fog, which worsened by the mile. When we entered parking lot, the only thing I could see was this large bear, a huge statue directly in sight when you drive in. I had NEVER noticed it until the heavy fog hid everything else in its mist. I think a few instapeeps though it was real, lol. Sorry for that ;)
2. LeRoy sucking the life out of his stuffed pug baby.
3. The husband returned home the other day with this delish homemade cake, complete with peanut butter cups on top, a gift from the owners of the postal shop we use. So sweet! Literally! (it should be noted that the husband often brings them goodies from The Chocolate Factory) This small town life is just like a movie and we cannot get enough ;)

Lake House Decor | Home Office Progression... {what it looks like now}

DISCLAIMER: I had to shoot the room with both my Nikon D5000 and my iPhone because I don't have a wide angle lens... thus the differences between the colors in the photos. Also, I swear the room and curtains are not crooked, it's a photo illusion...

Let me first begin by saying that if you take a look at my Office, Closet, Dressing Room Pinterest Board, you can get a feel for my overall inspiration on this room, which is the most feminine room in the entire house. Please note that this is the only room that looks like this and that I do not force my husband to live in a pink, black, and white world {though honestly, he probably wouldn't mind at all}.

I've shown you a bit of the other end of this space here, so I thought I'd give you a big helping of what the sitting area looks like right now, which if you refer to my home office before post photos, you can probably get a better visual feel for the space. This is just left of the door you walk in from the living room, in front of the sliding glass door.

I was extremely excited to be able to have a little sitting area in my office with the flatscreen that used to be in our old master bedroom. The husband thought it was "too small" for our new master and bought an even larger one that's hanging on the wall in there. So I got the "small one" {lol} for my office. Beneath the TV is my grandma's antique secretary desk which I used in my old office to store all of my jewelry and accessories. Now it holds fabric. Beneath it is a vintage suitcase {that was my mom's} which is full of fabric as well but used to store vintage books. I found a fun little tropical scrap of fabric to tie in the colors a little and set my DirecTV box on top of it. I found the vintage bust on ebay and the vintage brass bird figurines at Atlantis Dry Goods.

I found the large striped cat figurine on ebay as well whilst looking for the perfect animal figurine... and though I have not quite found what I'm looking for to fit the space, the cat makes me giggle because it looks like a cross between both my dogs {one of which stares out the window and grumbles on a daily basis while wearing a hoodie sweatshirt}, it will probably end up in the bright guest room at the end of the upstairs hallway. But it's here for now. Sitting in a large gold urn.

My mom found the amazing little vintage brass coffee table at The Salvation Army for $30 after a visit up where I told her what I was looking for, she texted me a photo of the table a few days later and I told her to BUY IT! She got another 15% off because it was a sale day. Such a bonus. However, it needs a good polishing, which I haven't gotten around to doing just yet {just like I haven't gotten around to steaming the curtains in the living room}.

I bought the black chairs, pink bolsters, and Flokati rug and added our little white accent tables {you can see here in our Old Living Room} to fill out the spaces next to the chairs.

Now that I've lived with the chairs for a while, I'm thinking they may find a new home up in the master bedroom and I'll purchase a chaise lounge or daybed for this area instead. Sometimes you just have to live in a space for a while to see how it suits you the best. This is mainly why when I purchase new items for the house I make sure I can use them in more than one location just in case they don't work out in the original one. But I like them for now.

The amazingly awesome and somewhat gaudy gold leaf lamp was a gift from Lamps Plus. I mean I just about died when I saw it because it was so perfect for the space. They also have a short version called the Renaissance Table Lamp.

The little piece of art below is a Kathie Olivas small oval painting and was a gift from my husband when we were still living in our condo. In fact, when we moved to our second rental he found it headed for the garbage on moving day. It was wrapped up and at the bottom of a box. It almost got the boot and I'm so happy he saved it... it's one of my favorite pieces.

The little dragon is actually the spout to an antique Oriental tea pot {which you can get a closer look at here} if you look on the coffee table photos, there's a little saucer from the same collection. It was my mom's or grandma's maybe, Masumi's? I can't remember but after one of the many moves or earthquakes some of the dishes broke. When my mom gave them to me I decided the spout was art.

My stepdad gave me his vintage cowhide rug because my mom wouldn't let him use it in their house {that's why I got the bull's head skull too... which used to hang over our mantel in the old house and now resides high in our stairwell - and so lucky to get such awesome hand me downs} I overlapped the Flokati with the cowhide for texture and color and to lengthen the space {and hide as much carpet at possible}.

This is where I spend most of my days working. It's an amazing space and while I do like it and enjoy being in here, it's not really finished just yet. It's still kind of thrown together in a way, meaning, I'm not exactly quite sure how or when it will be finished because it's functional and pretty at the moment. But like art, I'll know when it's done.

I haven't really had to purchase a whole lot of new stuff for this room {or the house really} because I come from a family of savers and passers down, and have had a few of these pieces for just about 10 years now.

You can find much of the same furniture in my old office, though really, I'm not sure how any of it fit. My two narrow Ikea dressers that I painted, distressed, and added lion's head pulls to, work nicely next to each other in between the bathroom and the closet. While the three low white Ikea dressers side by side {just as they were in my old office} still work splendidly as a vanity now with my mirror from Lamps Plus and vintage Italian lamps. This area isn't quite done yet either... I'm searching for the perfect vintage sconces to hang on either side of the lamps.

I used the same white Ikea Expedit shelving unit and desk, but since I had the extra space {and needed the storage} I brought in the freestanding Expedit unit that we were using as a room divider in our old living room.

I repurposed our old white kitchen table, sitting on my NuLoom zebra rug, and use it as my workspace {but often it gets folded laundry piled on it}. I swapped out the white wooden chairs that came with it for the black Panton chairs from Lamps Plus to modernize it a little and make it look less like a kitchen table.

The floor shelving unit/bench of sorts that sticks out from my desk and under the window was in my old office as well, under the window. It's really sturdy so I leave that pillow on it as an extra seat, but mostly it holds more magazines and my ugly printers and fax machine. {drollgirl and I found them in the trash "area" at the gallery a few years ago and dragged them into our cars, lol. There were four but we each took one}

The curtains/drapes are still not completely finished either. I was so ridiculously happy when I found them {I had to custom order them on HalfPricedDrapes.com} but because the fabric was limited, I chose rod pockets rather than pinch pleats to cover more of the window area. The windows are about 100" wide... the pole pocket panels took 3 to cover each window whereas the pleated version would have needed 4 to cover each window and they didn't have the stock.

But now that I've lived with them for a while, I don't really need to be able to open and shut them since really, there are not too many people in our area that would be peeping in, watching me work at my desk {hopefully anyway} which is another reason I opted for the pocket look rather than rings. If I was opening and closing them daily, the rings would be much easier to slide across the poles since the ceilings are so high. I like that it feels a little old Hollywood glam without the rings, kind of a bit old fashioned, but I haven't fully decided on what will be the finishing touches on the drapes.

Really, there is so much still to be done to this room and the entire house. It's always a work in progress but at this point, there is really only ONE room in the entire house that is complete, and that's the beachy guest bedroom I just worked on with Sherwin Williams {final reveal of that room soon!}. But soon enough, it will all be complete. Hopefully sooner than later. But until then, my office is an exceptional place to work.

Lake House | Home Office "Before" Photos...

I shot a few photos the other day of my office decor progress and was editing them to share with you when I realized I never posted any "before" shots. So I went through my archives and found a few photos I took before we moved in, some while we were on a quick overnight visit, and then the day we moved in when it was full of boxes.

It was originally painted "Sandstone" like the rest of the house, but the ceiling beams were a darker taupe/peachy color {as you can see above and in a few below}... it was not great, but livable. I brought the vintage cowhide my stepdad gave me from his collection and my Warhol "Shoes" print on one of our trips up just to make it feel homey. It's really sort of difficult to get a feeling for the room or the size without any furniture in it. But here goes...

I face this area when sitting at my desk.

This house happened to have two master bedrooms, one upstairs and one down. The downstairs master bedroom off of the living room/great room and what you see here has the major walk in closet and larger bathroom and would make for a nice master bedroom, however it's downstairs. And since there was another room upstairs, a little bigger in size but lacking the walk-in and with a smaller bathroom, it was an easy decision to make this the sort-of ...love Maegan headquarters and keep the personal stuff upstairs. This is also nice if I have a crew over working or shooting in my office, as well as keeps work downstairs and sleeping upstairs. Finding a working home balance is not always easy.

What's great about my job{s} is that they all include style, fashion, and/or beauty, so to have my closet and wardrobe right here next to my desk, as well as my bathroom and beauty essentials, makes it really really really functional. And I'm so lucky to have the space to work in as well.

In our last house, I kind of had no choice but to share an office with my closet/dressing room because there was really no other space for it. It was a much smaller house with small closets. {see my old home office/closet/dressing room here which I loved nonetheless} But whenever I was working on a project I'd have to drag all my supplies from the hall closet into the kitchen or dining room to work at a table, meanwhile spreading the mess throughout the house. Again, I'm so lucky to have this space now which houses everything from my shoes and underwear to my DIY supplies and fabric, as well as my desk and the old kitchen table to work on.

On a quick visit up and after beginning to paint the paneled walls in my closet {which looked like the wall above but 10 times darker} and complaining about how many coats of primer I was going to have to use {I'll show you photos of that too, I can't believe I haven't actually!} my husband went out to get us food and randomly found a painter {Mike Zweber ~ Z Painting 909-273-0466}, who popped by the house 20 minutes later, gave us a quote, and we hired him to paint this room, the beams, and finish the closet I started {among other rooms in the house}. I had him paint the entire ceiling and beams white and chose Dunn Edwards "Silver City" for my office walls, which reads like a light gray with a hint of blue... unexpected but loved it.

We left Mike with the house keys to finish the work and didn't see the house again until moving day a few weeks later. We packed our cars full and brought the dogs up and slept on an air mattress in the living room, watching DVD's on my old computer. It was really sweet actually. When I look out the living room windows early in the mornings now, I get that same feeling I had that night.

This random shelving unit was in my closet and I had the painters remove it for me because it was useless in there. Since it's stained the same color as the trimwork in our living room, I'm now using it there as a console of sorts... You can see it here in the living room now

The movers arrived with our stuff the following morning and by the end of the day my office {and the rest of the house} looked a little like this...

Such a ginormous mess... it took me a few days to get started on this space, I honestly was like WTF do I even begin? But it has come together nicely and though not complete yet, I can't wait to share it with you. It's crazy to look back on these photos which seem like centuries ago but were only 5 months ago.

I Love Your Style | Miley Cyrus

Of all the young 20 somethings working the sort of 90's androgynous trend right now, I think Miley Cyrus is pulling it off swimmingly. And I think it has a lot to do with her hair... which gives her that added confidence to rock these looks {not to mention her fab little figure - wow I said "figure"... I'm old} in a way that somehow looks sexy rather than boyish and cool rather than slutty. IF that makes any sense at all. Though occasionally she does go a little too far {oh, hello butt cheeks} but who didn't when they were 20? And if you didn't then you should have. If I were about 17 years younger, I'd probably want to look exactly like her right now... I did have very very similar hair a few different points in my early 20's ... But she's rockin' it right.

It's like 80's Madonna meets early 90's Neneh Cherry with a big helping of 90's Linda Evangelista and a little grunge thrown in for good measure. And I love it.

Though admittedly not a fan of the look she went with at the Met Ball but the theme was "punk" so it's understandably over the top.

Matchy Matchy Brights | For Days & for Nights

I wore this super bright matchy matchy outfit last Friday during the day and then threw on the white jeans under to go see Iron Man 3 later in the afternoon. It's always freezing in theaters but this dress is thick and heavy so it kept me warm enough with the jeans, though not a favorite look of the husband's. He'd rather see the bare legs. The little Marc Jacobs clutch pouch was the perfect size to hold just a few things and to keep on my lap during the movie. I'd rather not chance bringing a large bag and having to hold it the entire time because I refuse to put it on the floor... though I did eat my popcorn out of a very large tub directly from the floor, so there's that. Happy to be in brights and happy the weather is turning warm... I cannot wait for summer!

I was excited about the 60's look of the shot above, especially the eyeball through the sunglasses.

Man I love a great shift dress... and I love when 60's styles, though so classic now, come back with a vengeance!

I cannot believe it's May already. I mean wow. It's really just not registering although the weather has been BEAUTIFUL! I tried to take a few more selfies for you but I only managed one real one. Nature is just so much more beautiful.

Pushing Motherhood: A Documentary

FILM SUMMARY: Pushing Motherhood is a documentary about Sybil and Linda, best friends on the road to becoming mothers later in their reproductive lives. We follow the two women as they unpack the reasons why they waited so long, and discover both the costs and benefits of deferring motherhood into what medical professionals call “advanced maternal age.”

I remember in my twenties always saying I couldn't wait to get pregnant and start a family when the time was right. I didn't purposefully Push Motherhood but I did have a list of things I wanted to accomplish before I thought I'd be ready to me a mom. Plus, I hadn't found the person I wanted to share my life with until I was 28 years old. We got engaged and married when we were 30 and began trying to get pregnant about a year later.

It was only four months earlier that I had been told that I had Endometriosis and cysts on my ovaries followed by surgery to remove them. I was certainly happy with this discovery simply because now I had a valid reason as to why I felt such pain during my menstral cycles, among other things. But I remember hearing my doctor, fertility specialist Tina Coopersmith, repeatedly saying We'll get you all cleaned out and ready to get pregnant. Prior to that, I wasn't thinking about having kids yet, so I guess, in essence, I did wait. But we were still just 31 years old at the time not thinking we'd have any trouble whatsoever getting pregnant.

So we began "the fun part of trying to get pregnant" or so everyone says.

But let me just be a little graphic for a moment and give you a mound of truth: the fun part is only fun if it results in a pregnancy. Otherwise, it becomes this means to getting pregnant and takes the "fun" out of the entire process. Sex was fun before we couldn't get pregnant. Not during. Sometimes not now. Sometimes it just reminds me what it isn't going to do.

No matter how "okay" I am with not being able to get pregnant, I'm never totally okay with it.

Even now, less than a month away from my 37th birthday, I see my physical body at half of the strength it used to have, with aches and pains that just come with age and I think I don't really want to put my body through the taxing process of pregnancy anymore and I'm okay with that. Some days it's the absolute truth and other days it's just getting me through the day without sadness.

Even though we are looking into adoption, what's unfortunate is that nearly everything just reminds me of what I can't do. From seeing photos of baby bumps, to passing the baby isle in the market to having a cupboard full of baby diapers that we use for our old pug. Everything can make me sad if I let it, so I try not to let it.

I couldn't watch the Pushing Motherhood: A Documentary trailer without crying. It spoke to me on numerous levels and I felt like I had to donate to help get the movie made because I can't wait to see it. What's amazing about the internet is that by sharing our stories, we help so many other women going through the same thing but who feel very alone. I like to help. I like to be part of the solution and I'm hoping this film opens the floodgates for more women to feel less alone.

It's Going to SPACE! Could you give it a SECOND to get back from SPACE?

Every time I begin to get frustrated about my phone cutting out on a call, a YouTube video or show on Netflix pausing to buffer while I'm in the middle of watching it, or even waiting for a web site or blog to load, I think of this bit by Louis CK from his 2011 Stand Up, Hilarious. It makes me giggle to myself, then I calm the F down because it will literally take just one more second of my patience for whatever I'm waiting for to return from its journey from space.

And speaking of blog load time {Oh, Hello segue ;} I know my blog loads slowly. In fact, I am on a constant mission to get it to load faster, yet it rarely ever does. I think part of the problem lies in my immense amount of images, which I try to save at the lowest possible resolution and size, yet still lag load time to a snail's pace. I think another reason for slow load time is that I use Blogger's platform, which you'd think would be the fastest of all considering it's actually Google, but I'm probably using some old template from 2005 that isn't compatible anymore and is just confusing matters. I'm too terrified of the headache that may come with making the move to wordpress and getting my own server {if that would even help?} and actually hiring someone to redesign my blog {yes, I still do all of this on my own}. But yeah, it even annoys me and it's my blog. Sometimes when it's not loading in ONE SECOND, I hit refresh, and then refresh again, which occasionally speeds things up, but mostly I just have to wait one more second for it to get back from space.

In other technical blogging news: It has been brought to my attention recently that only a partial feed of my posts displays in readers, which is strange because I have it set to "full". But I don't use a reader, so how could I know such things? Anywho, I don't want to have to click a hundred times to finally get to my destination either, so I understand that it's annoying. Please note that I'm not doing it on purpose. But if you find this to be in an issue, you can toss me off your reader and subscribe via email {see up there at the top of this gray sidebar to your right, where it says 20k lovers?} All you have to do is enter your email address there, hit submit, go to your email and verify that you did it and voila! posts IN FULL delivered directly to your inbox. I know we all get overloaded with emails, but do you know what full posts in your inbox means? No wait for blog load time. No ads to distract you. And no clicking to get to your final destination. Yep, you can see the entire post in an email window. However, videos {like the one above} do not show up in emails, so if that's the case, you would have to click the title of the post in your email to watch it on my blog. Also, if you'd like to comment on a post, you'd have to click to the post on my blog as well to do so.

And speaking of comments, I may have mentioned this the other day, or you may have noticed that I've disabled blogger comments on most posts due to the negativity I receive on a fairly regular basis that I just don't want to read. I'm sorry if that makes me thin-skinned or sensitive or whatever, but telling me you're happy I can't get pregnant because I'm dumb isn't constructive criticism, it's just mean. So yeah, Facebook comments only for now... but I like FB comments because I can "like" and reply directly to your comment, so that's nice.

Crocs just sent me a box full of their Spring/Summer shoe styles and they are pretty much all adorable, not to mention THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES ON THE PLANET. Yeah, I know, that's their schtick, but I never believed it. How could they be THAT comfy? But omg, when I slipped my feet in these cute little take on the boat shoe loafer, I literally moaned out loud. Though if you ask my husband, that wouldn't be out of the ordinary {gross, that's not what I meant... } Point of the story is that I'm just as excited when I get my Crocs as when I get my heels, mostly because I know my feet will be in heaven this Summer by the lake.
